I have rarely been in an hotel as clean as this, even when of higher category, the bathroom (although a bit dated) was absolutely spotless. The breakfast was excellent, and really gave me the old Italian style hotel vibe: the cappuccino was made by a lovely lady with a real coffee machine and brought to us at the table, and the croissant was the real stuff you get at the bakery, not the frozen ones you get in most hotels nowadays. They even had the fresh newspapers (paper format) available to customers at the reception - this was very common in Italy in the old days.

EV charger available on site but the rate is very expensive. There was a small issue with the bedroom they gave us - we booked a room for 2 adults and 1 baby (2 years old) and there was only one double bed and no extra bed or cot. When we complained a three bed room was given to us, but at an extra charge. The hotel location is not great if you don't have a car.

It’s 10 mins by taxi to town which is fine and reception will order for you, the problem is getting home at night, twice I got stuck in town after 11pm waiting for taxis, it’s a known problem that there isn’t enough taxis in Sienna. The demographic of hotel is older couples, so not much of a vibe. There’s needs to be some ambience added to the place, breakfast was just ok, but again very bland environment, you could be anywhere, it doesn’t feel Italian.

• Lovely hotel in the countryside near Siena! • The staff is very kind. • A rentalcar is helpfull to go to Siena, altough you can take a taxi for about 8 euros I’ve been told. There is free parking in Siena , and from there a ten minute walk to Piazza del Campo through the lovely streets of Siena. • From the hotel it’s about 60 minutes by car to Pienza, 45 minutes to San Gimignano and only 15 minutes to Monteriggione. •Breakfast: lovely fresh baked bread,croissants with different fillings, scrambles eggs with bacon, yoghurts, fruit, toast etc. And very good cappuccino/coffee. You can sit inside or outside overlooking the garden with olivetrees. • Swimmingpool: is very nice size, clean , chairs alleays available, never crowded, shade or sun you can choose where to sit and enjoy the Tuscan hillviews.

It’s a beautiful hotel in a lovely, peaceful setting with gorgeous views. The rooms were very clean and pleasant with very comfortable beds and fantastic (silent) air conditioning. The breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice. The staff could not have been more helpful and are one of the best points of the hotel. They were always friendly and booked us taxis and reservations at restaurants. One of our favourite things was the pool which was clean, a great temperature and it never got too crowded. There was a nice terrace to sit outside with drinks or breakfast. The bar is open 24 hours with a good range of soft and alcoholic drinks. We stayed 4 nights but we wished we could stay longer! The location was also good. We did not have a car but it was only about €10 euros for a taxi into Siena or there were buses every half hour (if you don’t mind a little walk). Siena is beautiful with lots of shops and lovely restaurants. There is also a lovely restaurant about 15 mins walk away.

This is just a minor thing. We knew we would need to go into Siena for evening meals but we had not realised at first that there would not be much food available during the day. There were sometimes a couple of sandwiches but these usually sold out quickly. So I would suggest getting a few snacks from a supermarket and keeping them in your fridge.

Hotel was very nice. There was a big infinity pool with plenty of pool chairs for use. Room was spacious and wifi worked great. The bar was open 24 hours and offered alcohol, soft drinks, water, ice cream, and sandwiches. Staff was always friendly and helped with calling taxi's, directions, and explaining bus routes. Hotel is a 30 min walk from train station and mall. Train station is just a few minutes by car or bus. Once you get to the bus station, the walled city of Siena is about a 5 minute walk away.

Honestly I was pretty happy with everything. I have no complaints.

The hotel was very clean, the staff very friendly and the pool area was superb. Breakfast was a typical continental breakfast which was absolutely fine. Fresh sheets and pillow cases every day meant a freshly made up bed every evening. The air con was just right.

I find it difficult to fault the hotel for the money. It was good value.

We loved ALL the staff, who were welcoming, extremely helpful and were also brilliant with our little one year old grand-daughter. The hotel is immaculate as are the beautiful landscaped gardens and pool. Breakfast was lovely and there was a good selection of food to suit all tastes. We would happily recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Siena.

Our experience at Sangallo Hotel was pleasant, even on a rainy day. The reception staff went above and beyond—exceptionally professional, friendly, and super helpful. His hosting skills were next level! The hotel itself is quite simple but adequate for a comfortable stay.

The room had a strong chemical cleaning smell, which was a bit overwhelming. Additionally, the location close to the street meant there was some noise.

Excellent service. Receptionist recommended an incredible Italian restaurant called La Veranda which is very nearby. We went there every day in Siena. My wife caught a cold and when the receptionist (an African Italian gentleman) knew it, he warmly served hot water and honey and sliced lemon, and taught me to stir them together and help my wife. That was truly kind of him and deserved very sincere compliments. Room has a good view for sunrise/sunset with beautiful Toscana countryside. A bit far from old town but easy to call a taxi by reception or catch a bus from old town.
