The villa was lovely, set in beautiful manicured gardens. The distance from the main centre of Sienna was a bonus, as the location was tranquil. Catching a bus into the centre was a breeze with the bus stop just outside the gates. The staff were amazing. Always helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious, with coffees and scrambled eggs made to order. Our evening meal in the restaurant was superb.

Our only disappointment was the layout of our room in the annexe. The stairs to our bed on the mezzanine were a challenge, but we managed. However, the placement of the television meant that one of us had to sit at the desk and the other on the stairs to watch tv. You could not see the screen from the couch. This would be an easy fix if the television was mounted on wall above the fridge.

Overall this was a great property. The staff was friendly, for the most part. They gave us good ideas of what to do in Siena, and how to take the bus there. There is a restaurant in the hotel, which is a bit high end, and they serve delicious food.

We had a bit of a problem being able to get glasses for our room. We got the impression that they don’t want you to buy your own bottle of wine and enjoy it in the room. I may be wrong, but one of the front desk girls really resisted giving us glasses, and I had to say I want to drink water out of a glass…. instead of my water bottle, in order to get a couple of water glasses. Never mind a wine glass!!

beautiful traditional Italian country house hotel. All staff were terrific; reception staff were really helpful and friendly (especially Sean originally from US). Breakfast good with waitress so eager to help and please. rooms are a good size with really comfy beds. Regular bus to Siena outside- buy tkts at Reception and be sure to queue on same side as hotel. Road outside hotel has no pavements so not advised to walk far but Pizzeria at local campsite is worth a try just a 5 minute (careful) walk away. All in all; a lovely hotel with lovely gardens just a 10 minute taxi ride away from central Siena.

The property is a stunning Tuscan Villa with amazing views towards Siena and the Tuscan hills and a lovely gardens. There is a perched patio area with a good amount of seats to sit and take in the stunning views. The staff very excellent very attentive and friendly, nothing was a bother for them. The food was lovely with lovely apéritif’s. Good buffet breakfast. Villa also has a pool which was closed for season but opens again in April. There is also a car park on the right as you go through gates to property. There is a bus stop outside property with 2 buses an hour into Siena for €1.50 a journey or there are always taxis which came in about 5mins.

Beautiful gardens and views. The staff were outstanding and very friendly. The bed was comfortable and the shower was large with lots of hot water.

If we had a gripe it was that there was very little storage in our room. If you want to just visit Siena then it's easy to get the bus or a taxi. If however you want to get around Tuscan then a car is a must.

We had a very spacious and quiet room (#27) with lots of atmosphere, I loved it. Great beds. The personnel is attentive, very kind and helpful. The Villa has beautoful surroundings, among which a lovely terrace with a view over the Italian hills. The swimming pool was great and very welcome in the 30 degree heat. Siena is an exquisite town to visit, it takes around 8 minutes by car or 20 minutes by bus. I didn't want to leave and even tried to come back after our second accomodation didn't meet our expectations. They were fully booked, and I understand why. I will come back !

Some people say the bathrooms need a renovation, but I disagree. Maybe a little bit outdated but our bathroom had charming tiles, was clean, spacious and ventilated. All you need.

Beautiful old Italian villa with lovely gardens and stunning scenery across the valleys surrounding the area. High ceilings, parquetry flooring and lovely relaxing spaces inside and outside. This hotel used to be family run for years but has recently been taken over and some improvements to the property are obviously in train. Bed was very comfortable with sumptuous linen. Large bathroom with a lovely long bath tub. Breakfast was really good and included delicious fresh pastries baked that morning. Staff really helpful with traditional customer approach - very responsive and attentive to every need. Villa is close to Siena and easy to get to by bus (buses very easy and cheap - the hotel sells tickets for €1.50 and buses pass the property and go direct to central Siena every 15 mins - remember to validate your ticket once on the bus!). Restaurant has an fantastic menu for dinner but check which nights they are open as they don’t appears to open every night. One night we were there they had a wonderful pianist playing in the corner of the dining room which created a great atmosphere to go with the amazing food. There are some photos of the “old days” on the walls - people like Grace Kelly and Barbara Hutton stayed there decades ago and you can imagine some things haven’t changed since then (in a good way). Plenty of original features which keep this beautiful villa a lovely place to stay. Also - swimming pool, tennis court… Could stay there for days and not need to leave!

Gardens are lovely but could do with a bit of love in some places. Restaurant is high class but not open every night - it would be great to have a casual food/dining menu available to guests for the off nights if they don’t want to go offsite.

We loved the breakfast each day. Lynn and Ruth were so sweet and friendly offering to bring eggs and coffee. Food was very good and atmosphere very beautiful The staff is really wonderful

Gorgeous property and very well maintained! The meals we had at the on site restaurant were very good.
