All the staff (including Cynthia, Elizabeth and "Rainy") were professional, smart and friendly. The level of service was very good. The menu had a wide range of choice and excellent value-4-money with generous portions. I had the steak pie etc for supper. Breakfast was quickly served and set me up for a day's golf at North Shore GC. Plenty of beers and lagers etc at reasonable prices.

There was nothing that I disliked. However, I would say that North Shore represents excellent value-4-money but it's not the Ritz so it's all a question of managing your own expectations! I will be staying there again this year and I would recommend it strongly for the golf, catering and accommodation package.

Beautiful building on luscious grounds, right on the seafront with stunning sandy beach, we even saw a Kingfisher! Room has everything you need: big comfy bed, central heating plus portable radiator, kettle with tea station, television, and the en-suite was spacious with a shower/bath combo and heated towel rack. All very nice! We dined at the hotel one evening at the on-site pub, service was great and the food was wonderful, good price for big portions. We didn't personally play any golf but it was always busy and heard people in good spirits.

It was all lovely - we did pay extra for parking on booking.com though and when we asked about it we were told it didn't matter which was frustrating, and going to reception for assistance we were left standing for a while and was met with short answers. Other than that it was great!

Location was fantastic, not to far from the town, great night life. Hotel was spotless the food was very good and most of the staff were friendly.

Breakfast staff should of sued the charm school, just 2 of them were rude if you said something they was abrupt and all I was doing was letting them know they had no eggs or whatever it may of been, they just snapped back and if you asked for tea they went and got it but it was like it was an hindrance for them. If you want to work in hospitality then at least do it with a smile don't let people feel uncomfortable because they asked you something don't think they liked the London accent.

We hadn’t realised it was a golf hotel, but we were so impressed with the friendly golfers, unexpectedly ready to assist with our luggage! As there was a presentation for the golfers, and the restaurant was closed, we had to go the bar for dinner, which was understandably very noisy, but the lady serving our dinner directed us to an adjacent room, where we enjoyed delicious food at a reasonable prices: she was a gem! We had been allocated a larger bedroom, as the hotel wasn’t full and we had asked for a quiet room, which although dated, was comfortable, with a good bathroom. Breakfast was varied and satisfied our needs well. We really enjoyed our stopover, which was a short walk from a beach, away from the entertainment of the town itself.

Staff were lovely. I am a single parent to two beautiful children. One has autism and is very active. The staff was not judgemental and understood. They spoke kind and gental, which helped when I regulated him during check-in and out. He ran to the toilet during breakfast, and they laughed nicely and made me feel welcome, and no judgement was there. Staff helped with car parking and enabled our stay to be easy and comfortable. I loved the two bedrooms separately this helped us too so much. Definatly will see us again.

Mattress was a little hard. But everyone likes different things, so this is a preference. Definatly not a reason to not go. Its lovely. If I had more money towards the end of the six weeks holidays we would of stayed longer. I work in education so everyday has been an expense.

Very clean and comfortable. Lovely, welcoming young lady on reception. Massive bed! Good location for visiting our family. Not bang in the middle of Skegness, so quiet (which I like). Nice to have access to the beach and a pleasant view of the greens. And last, but not least, great service providing a quality cot for the baby. Thank you!

These are only minor issues. WiFi reception in the room is not great. Also, carrying a chunky 6 month old baby up and down steps, particularly the ones down from the back doors to the car park, required great caution. I could have called ahead and checked access. Finally, my daughter has Coeliac disease. We would have considered having breakfast, but there was no information on the menus highlighting gluten free options. As I say, not a biggy. We ate at The View.

Nice hotel with very friendly staff in a very quiet part of Skegness. Good bar and food. Attached to a golf course and literally a few steps away from a beautiful sandy beach and dunes. Large car park. Easy walk into Skegness but far enough away from the crowds. Large, clean family room came with adjoining bedroom. Did I mention the almost deserted sandy beach just a few steps from the hotel?

A bit old fashioned and slightly rough around the edges in parts, but that's par for the course. We didn't mind. Internet was patchy and TV unwatchable due to the picture breaking up. Great for the beach and golf but lacking in other facilities if you want to be picky, although there is a games room with a full-sized snooker table.

Hotel was clean and had what we needed as a couple - nice comfy bed to crash on and a functional bathroom. Nice view on the ocean past the car park and a stones throw from a public car park and entrance to the beach. Only a 10minutes walk into the center. Good bar overlooking the golf course and really nice food available. Staff were also very accommodating and friendly.

Facilities were quite basic and not the most modern. Could’ve done with some thicker curtains…had a gorgeous view of the sunrise over the ocean but to have it glaring in your face at 4am wasn’t ideal. The noise around the hotel also carried a lot so if you’re a light sleeper, ear plugs might be a good shout. Having said all of that, it did not spoil our trip one bit - it was everthing we needed from a hotel room.

The room, which I understand was the bridal suite (a bit of a laugh for a couple of our age) was large, although a little dated, it was very clean, comfortable and the views were spectacular. All hotel staff were extremely helpful. The cooked breakfast was possibly the best quality I've had from a breakfast buffet in at least two years (around 15 different breakfast locations in this time). Although access (via steps) to reception and the stairs to the bedroom level testing there was always a member of staff offering help if required. The Golf course Pro shop was reasonably stocked for it's size, staff were friendly and not pushy and goods were reasonably priced. A South African gent served me and we spent 5 minutes catching up on two courses in the Cape Town area we both knew.

The whole property was worn and dated (in my opinion not in a good way) A refurb could improve it however staff and location make up for the hotels misgivings

Breakfast good...side plates are tiny for the size of the toast. Quiet despite the many golfers. All staff friendly and helpful pleasant bar ... Clean Pie ofvthe day in the bar is recommended

Room size ok and bed...but very plain. High ceiling but no A/c . No magnifying mirror, no hair dryer. Tv on the small side but picture ok WiFi generally good .. A shower curtain is behind the timed No lift Steep steps to entrance from the car park as well as up to the room...though we we were offered assistance with bags. Decor needs an update. Limited vegetarian options on bar menu.
