I really enjoyed my stay at Anchor House, I found it a very relaxing place to be. The hosts, Paul and Nicola, were friendly and welcoming. The comfort of their guests is clearly important to them. The lovely accommodation was spotlessly clean and very comfortable....I had two of the best night's sleep I've had in months. A good variety of choices for breakfast....I chose to have a cooked breakfast each morning, it was perfectly cooked and great value....I wish I could poach eggs as well as Nicola does. I don't eat meat and am not able to eat mushrooms or quorn, but I didn't miss out on sausages for breakfast as Nicola offered a suitable alternative sausage....as I said, their guests comfort is very important to my hosts. Anchor House is situated in Alford, a small town with some nice independent shops and a market, well worth wandering around. It was my first time in this part of Lincolnshire, and I shall definitely return.

Lovely stay at Anchor House. Paul made us laugh, from the moment we arrived. He was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was great! Very modern and homely. Everything we needed. We got fish and chips for our tea, and Nicola, kindly set the table and warmed us some plates, and put sauces ect on the table. Had a nice chill out in our room, in the evening, watching tv. There was even an extra heater to plug in if we weren't warm enough. (We were). Very comfortable beds. Breakfast was great!! We had eggs benedict, which was gorgeous. A bowl of fresh fruit salad which was lovely and refreshing. Tea, and fresh orange juice. There was also toast offered and cereal, but we were too full. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and we would definitely recommend it. Thank you, Paul and Nicola.
Nothing to dislike.

Anchor House was a perfect place for our 2 night stay in Alford. Paul and Nicky were warm, welcoming, friendly hosts and we felt at home from the start. Paul was great to communicate with prior to arriving and very helpful with eating/ drinking suggestions in town. We arrived quite late and got take away Chinese food which Paul invited us to bring back to the BnB to eat in the breakfast room where he had set a table and warmed plates for us. The room was cosy, clean and comfortable with attractive decor and lovely modern bathroom. The full English breakfast ( included in the room rate) provided lots of choice and was delicious. The property was located within a few minutes walk to all the town offers and we would thoroughly recommend it. Thank you Paul and Nicky!

Paul and Nikki were both very friendly and helpful hosts. Previous reviews had mentioned how good the the breakfasts were and I was not disappointed. My room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable.
Really can't fault anything ,tea and coffee making facilities in room. Shower was great. Only slight observation would be the lighting in the bathroom , the mirror had great light surround but the main light in the room was slightly obscured by a beam in the ceiling which obviously couldn't be moved but maybe moving the ceiling light a few inches.

The hosts were really friendly and served us a lovely and huge (vegetarian) breakfast, in which we could pick and choose the various elements. The room was quite spacious, with tea making facilities and a wardrobe (which was on the small side, but sufficient). The bathroom was very generous with a great shower in it - both heat and power were great.
For my taste the beds were a bit too hard (though another guest raved about the beds, so very much a matter of taste). The view from the windows (ground floor) was not very exciting, but we didn't go there to admire the view form the B&B.

Paul was absolutely brilliant right from our arrival at Anchor House. Although we arrived quite late Paul was very welcoming, friendly and funny he showed us around our lovely room and provided us with plates and cutlery so that we could have something to eat from the local takeaway. The facilities are perfect, the bed lovely and comfortable, the shower was great and everything was immaculate. Nicky cooked an absolutely amazing breakfast, all fresh and cooked to perfection and great value for money. Thank you both very much, we had a lovely stay at Anchor House and would 100% recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.
Nothing - everything was perfect!!

Were met with a very friendly (and funny) owner, and shown to our room, which was roomy, very clean with lovely decor. Plenty of tea/coffee supplies, plus biscuits and cocoa. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room quiet with blackout curtains. We had a full English for breakfast, which was delicious - there was also lots of fruit/cereal choices. Anchor House has plenty of parking, and is 5 minutes walk to all the shops in Alford. We will definitely be staying here again when visiting the area, as we didn't have time on this visit to look around the little market town, which looks charming.
We can't think of a single thing.

We were met on arrival by Paul and noticing that I walked with two sticks he changed the room we were allocated to a more accessible room. The bed was a good height and comfortable, the walk in shower worked for me as I cannot get in and out of a bath and there were a number of additional handles in the shower and by the bathroom toilet and sink which ensured I felt safe. The room has tea and coffee facilities and a small tabletop fridge. Breakfast was fabulous, we opted for sausages, scrambled eggs and mushrooms and throughly enjoyed it. We are looking forward to booking agan in the future.

Really good room, 'bath'room (shower rather than bath, so ideal actually) was splendid. Bedroom could have perhaps had an 'ordinary' chair in it as well as an armchair so that the table could have been sat by, but in all other respects splendid. Wonderful breakfast, freshly prepared and exactly as was requested. All aspects spotlessly clean. Bonus: Paul was the perfect host!
Nothing springs to mind; if something exceeds expectations, and much was expected, then there's not likely to much to say. In this case, genuinely nothing to criticise. If there is a need to stay out in that part of the region again, this would be first choice.

It was soooo clean! Every single inch was cleaned to perfection. So pretty and the bed and duvet cover and the pillows all very comfy the duvet cover was super comfy 😍 nice material.. didn't wanna get out of bed. I had a great sleep! The male host was super funny and kind made us all giggle on arrival. I like that! Wasn't an ounce of mardiness at all! Made us feel very comfortable on arrival and feel like we can roam about with ease. Lovely people! The garden was beautiful lots of seating. I loved my room and my bathroom I could honestly live there! The female host is a cracking chef too! Makes perfect eggs. 👌my brekkie was very yummy thank you! the whole table was set up with everything I could need for breakfast. All in all there was not a single thing I did not like. The area Alford. Wow so pretty! Full of private owned businesses! Infact the only commercial shop I saw was a co-op al the rest were all local businesses. Very pretty cottage type shops 😍 Beautiful pretty shops with all you could ever need in one place! The petrol garage across the road is super amazing, don't see them like that anymore. I wish I could live at anchor house and i absolutely adore Alford! 😍🥰 Thank you! 😊
