An ideal location for walking around. The staff was professional, helpful and made a special occasion (my birthday!) memorable by serving the group of four the cake we brought with us. Breakfast was delicious, more treats and options than we could have imagined. I must add here that the history of the property was tantamount to deciding on our lodgings. The photos, books and “air” about it is grand.

The parking. I am a 77 year old male who is driving in Spain for the first time. That being said, the hotel space for unloading passengers was missed the first go-around. I couldn’t read the sign, in Spanish, telling me it was ok to drive into an area to unload. Maybe directions on the Homepage for guests would be helpful. Gracias.

Wonderful staff; very welcoming and spoke English well which was great. Beautiful surroundings internally in the hotel and excellent food. Lovely terrace to sit and have breakfast or a meal and drinks. Nice quiet aircon in the room. Very convenient location to all attractions and shops/restaurants etc. We did the Ronda Wine Experience which was exceptional, highly recommend it.

The walls between rooms must be very thin as we had a lot of noise from the room next door. We could hear every word and it was difficult trying to get to sleep. The shower gel and shampoo etc have been fixed to the wall at the far end of the bath, opposite the shower head so it is very precarious trying not to slip each time you want to dispense soap.

LOVED the location and the history behind the hotel, and the quality of all the products. Breakfast was exceptional and the waiter Allessandro (I think it was his name) service was impeccable, the best breakfast we have had on our Europe trip so far. Reception / check in for us was the only let down. No eye contact or any acknowledgment of myself at any point or contact. I was left standing at the reception area waiting to check in for around 5-10 minutes whilst 2 staff checked the lady in front of me and no one looked up from their desk to even acknowledge I was standing there. I eventually sat down and was still ignored until my husband arrived. Still no one looked at me . It was all a little strange for us. I understand, the hotels philosophy is a quiet approach which is lovely, and nice to be discreet but I personally felt just a “hello” at check in or at check out would have been nice. This might be just a personal preference and most customers might like this silent approach.

The location , the view, the value for money, the history and the quality of the ammenities and the breakfast and service was fantastic!

We loved absolutely everything about the hotel. It is a beautiful historic building but with every modern comfort and a lovely atmosphere; it is in the perfect location for exploring Ronda; it has beautifully decorated public areas and our room (number 2) was amazing - spacious, light filled and comfortable with a huge bathroom; all of the staff are so welcoming and helpful; the breakfast is delicious (we also dined in their Pura Cepa restaurant and loved it) So happy that we picked Hotel Palacio de Hemingway for our trip and would return in a heartbeat.

We loved everything

A beautiful hotel in a prime location in the old town. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Our room was large with a generous ensuite, very clean and with a comfortable bed and good wifi. Although on the main street across the bridge, it was very quiet at night. An excellent breakfast was available in the morning. There were lots of Hemingway books and memorabilia throughout the hotel to add to the atmosphere

We didn't dislike anything, but the lack of a lift to the second floor and no defined space to unload the car before taking it to a seperate location to park could be issues for some guests.

A great welcome and booking in service from Paola who was very helpful and charming throughout our stay. Very comfortable beds, Superb a la carte breakfast with lovely staff - particularly Alejandro who could not have been more helpful. The room was quiet even though we were very much in the centre of Ronda and the location was excellent especially as we had torrential rain for some of our stay - so being able to return to the hotel quickly and easily was a real bonus.

Others have complained about the lack of central heating in the bathroom but we found the provided fan heater perfectly adequate.

The staff, the location, and the beautiful decor. The beds were very comfortable! Also the restuarant had a fabulous breakfast. We had dinner there one night that was wonderful. The famous bridge is just a 3 minute walk and you are there!!!

Rooms are not sound-proof. One night the couple next door were arguing in hall and in their room and it was not a pleasant conversation very late at night. Additionally they had a plug in air-scent freshener. This is not good, especially since I am sensitive to chemical smells. Once unplugged and put in drawer- all was good! We were there during low season which I am glad as it is a busy part of town next to the bridge so there is a small place to park car to unload. Parking garage a nice walk, a ways away.

The location is perfect for central Ronda,the staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. We did the wine tasting in the hotel which was very informative well presented and worth doing if this is your thing. The food in the hotel was very good and reasonably priced. While not being the cheapest Overall this is a fantastic hotel,we would definitely stay here again and we would definitely recommend.

Can not say there was anything we didn't like as such really, however the room we had (10) was directly over the bar/restaurant so there was noise from below when in our room,this did not effect us too much after a couple of drinks in the bar ourselves helped and the bar was not open too late.

The hotel is a historical building. The building itself is very beautiful, well designed and well maintained. The location was in the old town of Rhonda, restaurants, shopping, museums were all within 5-10 minutes walk. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. They were very helpful in suggesting place to visit and restaurants etc. The breakfast options were excellent with a mix of local items and international and was sufficiently large. The rooms and bathrooms were huge and very comfortable.

Cannot think of anything to add here.

The double aspect room has the best views. A valley going away from the town on one side and the lit terrace and Main Street on the other. Room 8. The bathroom and bedroom are exceptionally well decorated; sympathetic to the era and style of building. The bed duvet and pillows are very plush and the TV has a few English speaking channels. The wine bar staff, where we had breakfast and evening meals are fabulous - as is the food and choice of beverage.

Due to the age of the property it is a little noisy. There is no parking at the property itself although there is a secure parking garage at the end of the Main Street where you can park for €16 for 24 hours. You can leave luggage in reception whilst you go and park.
