The hotel, perched on the gorge, had a spectacular location. The room decor was lovely, with period furnishings. The staff was welcoming and even went out of their way to prepare a breakfast box to take away for our early departure!

If I had to nitpick something it would be the dessert that followed our fabulous dinner -- we ordered chocolate soufflés despite the fact that the would take longer and received chocolate lava cakes instead. Although they were yummy , they weren't soufflés. While a minor disappointment, I would not hesitate to come back.

Beautiful classic hotel situated on the cliff overlooking the famous Ronda arches, the view is breathtaking! The restaurant as part of hotel is also excellent restaurant offering five star menu & wine, we had a wonderful dinner there with sunset overlooking the horizon.

Can’t park the car there at all, because it is in historic area with narrow alleyway, there is no car access and very difficult to find nearby parking and then drag the luggage. Come without car is my recommendation!

Our stay in Hotel Montelirio was incredible. First of all: the staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Truly, they saved the day when they helped us park our rental car and navigate Ronda's tiny streets. Second, the hotel's location is magnificent; the view from my mother's room (I believe it was 103) was breathtaking, and it's hard to believe there's a better one in the city! Lastly, our dinner at the hotel was delicious and the wait staff was super helpful and friendly. 10/10 experience!

This is a 10 out of 10 hotel! The location is incredible and the views from my room were beyond stunning- overlooking the incredible bridge, waterfall and lush forest below. The staff was extremely friendly and made our stay comfortable and easy. I traveled from the USA (California) and spent 10 days in Spain. This was by far my favorite stay of the trip. I highly recommend the restaurant in the hotel and the hike down the canyon.

It is a lovely small hotel our room was a junior suite overlooking the ravine and the bridge absolutely stunning views

Really I only have a small complaint regarding the room the bathroom was lovely with a big stand in shower/bath but the shower mixer didn’t work properly so it was hard to set the shower temperature and flow which just needed to be maintained or replaced but overall fantastic stay

Magnificent hotel in the heart for Ronda, the hotel is beautiful, the room, although small, was exquisitely furnished, We had a wonderful evening meal overlooking the Ronda Bridge..The pool is small but a unique experience. If you stay at least one night in Ronda, you must treat yourself to this most outstanding hotel.

Although we booked parking, an evening meal, and a view over the gouge, this information was not was not passed onto the hotel, but this was soon rectified by the theor helpful staff on arrival..

The views from our room, the Albacara Restaurant and the breakfast room, of the gorge, Puente Nuevo and countryside were exceptional. We had a great dinner at the Albacara, made better by great wait staff. The position in the old town made it easier to access the sites we wanted to visit. These aspects made it worth a splurge.

Because the building is so old some of the usual facilities weren't available - no mini fridge or microwave for example, I guess most of the clientele at a 4 star hotel just eat out or at the restaurant. The bathroom layout was awkward but functional. The bed was pretty good but could have been better.

Location right next to the New Bridge, spectacular view from our room and the breakfast area. Older hotel vibe that is just enough to be charming. Bottles of water supplied, and the reception staff were very friendly. The room was clean and breakfast buffet was great. There was a massive storm with strong winds and rain while we were there so couldn’t go to the restaurant upstairs but the terrace looked a lovely place to be in good weather.

Only minor things… Room was small and the shower head kept falling off its holder once the water was turned off. No face cloths/washers were provided. A bit difficult to navigate the narrow streets when driving, but that is to be expected in the old town. None of these were major issues - we were comfortable at the hotel and enjoyed our stay

The Montelirio Hotel is perfectly situated in the city center of Ronda. One can easily and quickly walk to most of the attractions and the main shopping/dining areas in town. The heated towel racks and heated floors in the bathroom were a nice addition. We drove to Ronda and the hotel was very helpful on parking our car and having it available when needed.

Lighting in the bathroom could be brighter; it was hard to see when shaving.

Magnificent view from the window! Simply breathtaking! Very comfortable bed. The breakfast exceeded expectations with the quality of the products, especially the fruit. I have never eaten a more delicious melon than in this hotel! The staff is very nice. My husband did not immediately find parking, and the manager from the reception went with him to help. The waiters are helpful and pleasant. The hotel is beautiful and authentic. I had great fun!

The parking lot is a bit far.
