Coming from NZ I didn't have an American sim card, but the airport allowed me to call and the hotel quickly arranged for David the driver to collect us. Tommy our front desk person was consise and extremely friendly attended to all our requirements, even arranged for us to get to the port to catch our cruise ship...over and above. Breakfast was wonderful and I would highly recommend this hotel

The only negative and this really is not picking is our view of the highway, but that is just being pedantic.

I loved the facility. The staff was always smiling and super friendly anytime I asked for anything, extra towels, etc. They always gave it to me with a smile. One staff member said I knew you were returning, and I laughed. He was like you are me if and when I vacation, just walking around comfortably, no care in the world, lol. An extra plus was the mall was directly down the street. Target was close, and they had plenty of places around for food. It was close to New Orleans I. My family and I visited the Jamnola Art and Music Museum. My daughter brought in her 14th Birthday in New Orleans. I should have asked the staff if they do anything special for birthday guests. The breakfast was delicious. You could make your waffles; there was plenty to choose from, and the rooms were spotless and updated.

We booked property expressly for the airport shuttle-there was NO shuttle on a Monday morning! We were told at check in that “Yes we have an airport shuttle” and our names were placed for an 8am departure. Monday morning-NO SHUTTLE! We love Hamptons… will always stay again… but this was really not cool about the shuttle-an added expense and inconvenience we didn’t count on….there needs to be clear communication among staff and proper training about ALL policies and amenities…. This is the only reason our stay was not rated a 10 or 5 star…

Bobby the front desk guy was very helpful, and we felt like he genuinely wanted to help us if we had any problems, the other staff was very friendly but we mostly dealt with him

Sticky doors on the first floor, we had two rooms and both doors were hard to open, one refrigerator didn’t work, and the other refrigerator was like warm, also all the bathroom doors were expanded at the bottom from water damage in all four rooms we stayed there twice within a week and two rooms both times

Everything except our room 302 door was dragging the frame and was loud when opening or shutting. One other problem below.

The door was dragging, making it inconveniently loud to others nearby every time you open or close it.. there was a very slippery wet spot that held water and slippery grime on top open parking deck. I slipped in it once but did not fall down. It's near the entrance to access door on third floor. Pillows are small squares like sofa throw pillows.

Location was close to my destination. The staff was awesome! Everyone was super polite. The room was a nice size & had a comfy bed & chair. Breakfast was great also. Breakfast went until 10am which was awesome! I’ve never seen it past 9am so this was nice. Check out was noon too. Love that as well. Parking garage was an excellent addition also. Each floor had a door to that floor in the garage which was cool. They decorated the lobby for Mardi Gras which was so fun!

Light bulbs weren’t soft white which was not pleasant. My room looked out onto the highway which wasn’t great but was ok with the blind down so not a deal breaker by any means.

Staff very friendly and helpful, Breakfast was good to always stocked.Rose the General Manager was awesome,very nice and very helpful.

Easy to find and close to expressway and airport. Quick access to car garage and great dinner next door at the bar.

We wish there were a tour bus or shuttle downtown to French quarter area as we found it very difficult to navigate by car.

The access to the property is difficult. You can only get there by using the access road to the Causeway. It is not easy to pull out when the traffic is heavy.

It was great location for after a hard day fishing in Venice, and easy to get back on road next morning traveling back to Mississippi. AC worked great and as always Hampton Inns beds are the best!
