The room was super clean, 2 blocks from George st. where all the entertainment is. 2 blocks from the harbour. The BED WAS VERY VERY COMFY!! Support staff were excellent. For a couple or a single person this was a great choice. You are out most of the day anyway hiking on the amazing trails. Make sure you go to Petty harbour and eat at the seafood restaurant.

You have to pay for parking. It averages to about $25 for day and night. Make sure you park in the garage across the street over night. So if you stay here for this great price and location, you have to soak up the parking, but it is just across the street. You have to pay for parking in different zones in St. John's, just so you know. Coffee pot needed support. Go down the hill to the Jumping Bean or Tim Hortons for coffee

Nice spacious room with attached bathroom. I really liked the „olden style“-building it was in. Coffee/tea and fridge in the room. Efficient check-in via app, quick communication with staff via app also.

They warn you about the noise caused by the location in the inner city. I was rather expecting restaurant and people noise, but most of the time there was a loud humming engine noise. I guess it came from the surrounding restaurants‘ ventilation systems?!

The location was central to where I wanted to be. The room and shared bathroom were clean, comfortable and safe. The staff was also very helpful.

The staircase carpeting seems dated and plaster on the ceiling in the shared bathroom is flaking. That said, this is not really something that I didn't like. I am really reaching to find something to be able to respond to this question.

Fantastic location in Downtown St John's. Walking distance to all the sights. My room was large and comfortable and best of all, had a bathtub and a real fluffy bathmat!

I really would have liked a kettle to make tea. Not a coffee drinker much so had to pass the water through coffee maker. Wifi in my room wasn't great and kept dropping out as did tv signal sometimes.

Great location, very helpful and friendly staff, hands on owner and excellent value for the price. The food at Magnum and Steins was awesome and our bartender made some of the best drinks I have had. The highlight is their Kickin Chicken Burger; if want a good chicken burger drive right pass rotten ronnies and that Mary spot and head right to the bar/lounge at the Duckworth Hotel.

Our flight was delayed so we returned to the Duckworth Inn for another evening. The Inn is in close proximity to everything and yet quiet at night because it is just outside the busy area of George Street. All rooms are accessible by stairs on the upper levels. Magnum and Steins restaurant is on the main level and a bar and tables are also downstairs. We enjoyed a very nice meal. Many places have fish and chips and casual fare. At Magnum and Steins we had house made seafood pasta and also tried a special of 3 dishes paired with wines. All very good and a nice way to celebrate a special evening. The taxi is about $30-35 from the airport to the Inn.

This inn is in a perfect location in St. John's right downtown. The room is basic but clean and the bed was very comfortable. Staff was onsite to help and friendly so when I didn't see the advance email I was supposed to get, they were able to let me in and sort things out. Overall, this room is perfect for a solo traveller looking for a good value stay right in the heart of the city.

A few things in the room are broken or old, such as the chairs with frayed edges and the broken window blinds. For those with a car, parking is tough (as the inn lets you know) but I was able to find a spot nearby.

The location was unbeatable, and the price was great for the area - especially on such a busy weekend! We were very happy to have the A/C and found the shared bathroom to be clean & comfortable.

We should have been prepared for the number of stairs! This is a beautiful old building, and it didn't seem to have an elevator. We hauled our suitcases up to the third floor.

Room: Clean, temperature-controlled ok, appliances are welcomed, bed comfortable, bathroom clean and functional. Room wifi ok. Parking: Did not have a car. Location: Excellent for exploring the old city on foot, took the bus to Quidi Vidi village, took a taxi to Signal Hill. Josephine (the hotel manager) was very welcoming. She stored our luggage when we had checked out already (late flight for us).

No complaint. Best value for money because of its central location. Entrance door security code for entry is well thought of. The hotel has no reception desk, but Josephine was very prompt in replying to my queries (via email).

The young man right from the start, gave us exceptional service. We were early, he set our bags in our room and said when the room would be ready. Older building with character, well kept All staff we met were pleasant and welcoming. Location is close to most of what you come to see in St Johns.
