Beautiful, quiet and perfect for me. The situation of it was excellent, really close to all the places I was visiting but not too busy. Room was really comfortable and full of charm and character. The staff were discrete but friendly making my stay wonderful. All the information sent before I arrived was personable and useful. Once there I was given excellent information about the areas of Venice, places to go and restaurants at which to eat. Breakfast was amazing with hot options, fruit and a bread basket. Freshly squeezed orange juice and a set of drinks options were also great. I felt very comfortable and relaxed here. I enjoyed the courtyard seating area for breakfast with the lovely scent of jasmine as I ate. A wonderful hotel which I will use when I return.
The hotel is not manned 24/7 but for me this was no problem at all. Some people might not like that

Lovely breakfast and the 24 hour coffee/snack area was a huge bonus. Also a lovely spacious lounge area. Air con worked very efficiently. Access to Hotel Flora round the corner was very helpful. Very helpful staff in both hotels. Great location and we walked the entire city from there but also very quiet. There is a music school nearby and breakfast was accompanied by the lovely sounds of rehearsals. I recommend walking down to the end of the street to see the views of the Grand Canal. Lovely Venetian architecture.
I haven't given top marks for facilities because in an old Venetian house there aren't may facilities. There is no elevator and the shower wasn't amazing (small & water pressure issues) but it's not a soulless modern building so compromises are necessary. We did not have a problem with either however I would not recommend if you have mobility issues (Venice in general very difficult if you're not strong on your legs).

The staff were so friendly and helpful. I liked the keyless entry system. So close to the Alilaguna stop, only 5 minutes walk makes it so easy to get to and from the airport (no need for expensive water taxi). The common areas were lovely, tastefully decorated and full of charm. They were also very useful providing biscuits, tea and coffee at any time. There is also a small kitchen. Although it doesn't have a bar or 24 service of its own, the bar in its sister hotel flora, just 5 minutes away, serves well. If these facilities matter to you, consider booking there instead, it also looks excellent.

A fantastic stay at Novecento. The location is ideal — perfectly central yet peaceful, allowing us to explore all of Venice on foot. The staff were exceptionally helpful and proactive, reaching out via WhatsApp before and during our stay, which made communication smooth and efficient. The smart check-in process was seamless, clever, and very convenient. The room was comfortable, with an excellent bed, and the intimate size of the hotel added a personal, welcoming feel. Breakfast was consistent each day — simple but exactly what you need to start a full day in Venice. The decoration was charming and tasteful, making it feel more like a local friend's home than a hotel. Highly recommended.
Nothing to say negative about this place - It was great

The hotel is simply stunning! You can feel the care and charm in every little detail, which makes this place truly special. The cleanliness is impeccable, everywhere is brilliantly arranged and well-kept. It is a small hotel, only nine rooms, but that makes you feel at home. Nicoletta was exceptionally kind and helpful, she responded to all our requests immediately and really did everything to make our stay unforgettable. She provided us with useful advice. The breakfast is varied and delicious, everyone can find something to their liking. I have been to many boutique hotels, but this is by far the best! I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a truly special, welcoming place in the heart of the city, close to St. Mark's Square.

This gem is small but perfectly formed. From the second we arrived, the staff were so helpful we instantly felt at home. The breakfast was really lovely as you are served a selection of continental items to your table. A nice touch is complimentary coffee and water in the dining area as the hotel is unmanned in the evenings. Our room was lovely and very comfortable with all manner of high quality ortigia toiletries provided. The rooms are not huge so we appreciated the lounge area on the 2nd floor outside our room. It's located on a quiet street between accademia and St Mark's so well placed to get to all main sites inc Rialto and walk across the bridge to the Dorsoduro area. Overall, we had a fab time and the staff could not have been more accommodating. Would definitely recommend.
Nothing!

We really enjoyed the stay in this lovely hotel - it definitely made our stay in Venice exceptional! The style of the hotel is really unique, it is decorated with lots of interesting objects, with attention to details. The vibe is very mysterious and cozy. We also really loved breakfasts and the coffee station that is available throughout the day. The staff was really friendly and helpful!
It would be great to have a bit more light in the room, ours was a bit too dark - but i guess this also comes together with the overall style of the hotel. Also, ideally I'd prefer to have a coffee machines inside the rooms, but it's also not a very big deal.

The hotel is comfortable and well located. The common areas are comfortable, warm and quirky. We had a comfortable bed and nicely designed bathroom. We loved the bath products. The breakfast is very nice. Nicolleta who checked us in was incredible and gave lots of great recommendations for our stay.
The rooms are quite dark with not much natural light but that’s to be expected in Venice. Our only complaint is the staff during the breakfast service, who were unbelievably loud and badly behaved while guests were dining. The staff played tik tok videos on full volume, talked and cackled very loudly for nearly 20 minutes standing just a few feet from the guests but acting as if we weren’t even there. All of us were very uncomfortable and we eventually went back to our rooms because they caused such a disruption to our experience. It was appalling. I’ve never experienced such unprofessional, poor hospitality before, certainly not at a nice hotel such as this.

I was so surprised by how much I loved this hotel. It was adorable, clean, centrally located in San Marco but not right in the heart of the mess by the square so you get convenience but a little distance and quiet at night. It was clean, a large room, and a very nice bathroom especially for Europe where those can run a little small. The breakfast was such a nice touch, but the star of the hotel were the girls who worked there. The staff could not have been nicer, friendlier, or more accommodating. You would think from their behavior that you were staying in the Cipriani. They were just the best people and really made the stay special. I can’t wait to return!
No cons, it was a gem.

Novecento is a wonderful hotel. It is clean, comfortable, well designed in an eclectic style of antiques and modern elements. I felt very at home. The breakfast was perfect, with home cooked eggs, delicious pastries, yoghurt and fruit and orange juice. They made individual espressos and cappuccinos for those who wanted them - all included. Location is perfect - off the beaten path but close to everything. The room's decor, including the bedding, the curtains, and towels, were just right - everything was beautiful but not too fussy. Room just felt comfortable and beautiful.
There wasn't anything I didn't like.
