Our host was welcoming and friendly. Our room and bathroom were perhaps the smallest we have ever stayed in anywhere, but they were immaculately clean and contained everything we needed. Private parking is a real plus and Hillcrest is a 5 min walk to all the amenities central Westport has to offer - yet it is on a quiet street with good views of the valley. Our breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day!

Nothing that could be changed but the tiny size of our room makes it suitable for a 1-2 night stay at most - we were there for one night and it suited our needs perfectly.

Breakfast was very good, with great variety. Una was a truly outstanding host—friendly, relaxed, and incredibly accommodating, which made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. The location was spot-on: just a short walk into town (less than 5 minutes!), yet tucked away enough to enjoy peace and quiet away from traffic. Ideal for a short break, and I’d happily return!

I loved that the host was so friendly and accommodating, the room was perfect with the most comfortable bed. The accommodation is perfect for visiting Westport and is so close to all amenities, shops, cinema, pubs restaurants and a walk through the grounds of Westport house and on to Westport quay is an absolute must.

There was nothing not to like about our stay

Una and her husband Leo were fantastic and made us feel very comfortable and they went our of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The location is close to town and we were able to park our car on the property. The breakfast was great and so much food.

It is a B & B and so we expect that rooms are small. Ours was difficult to move around in and the shower very small. But having said that Una was o nice to let us use a bathroom that was not being used so this is why we have to rate this B & B one of the best we have been to. Highly reccommend.

Location was terrific. Easy walk into town but far enough away to be nice and quiet at night. Una was a great host and really went out of her way to cater to my squeamish needs after a stomach ailment. She was super sweet and accommodating. Room was very cozy and bed was very comfortable.

Shower could be a tight fit for larger individuals. Otherwise no downsides at all.

Hillcrest, and particularly its owner, are exceptional. The quality of everything, the attention to detail and the friendliness made our stay extra memorable. We particularly appreciated the closeness to the town centre, whilst still being in a quiet location. Westport has to be one of the best towns in Ireland in terms of location and services, and Hillcrest is a perfect complement to it. We are usually wary of rating anywhere so highly, but have no hesitation for this fine B&B.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very nice host, great breakfast and a very comfortable and clean room. Perfect location. Will definitely be back.

People were very accommodating, arrived a bit earlier than planned and they happily accepted my luggage until room was ready , breakfast choice was varied with plenty of choice . Would book again without hesitation.

Very friendly host and good options for breakfast. Everything is nice and taken care of.

Not to be changed but you have to be aware that it’s a small room and also the bathroom is tiny with only quite a thin door to the bedroom. The socket distribution is also a little bit uncomfortable.

Una is a wonderful host! We only stayed one night and left too early for breakfast but other reviews rave about how good it is. When we couldn't get a (very) early cab to the train station she drove us herself! How is that for customer service?! It is an uphill walk to the B&B (which is on a quiet street) from the train so if a nice taxi driver offers his services-take him up on his offer! Trust me, we learned the hard way. If we're ever back out this way we would definatley stay again.
