I stayed at the Mercure Hotel in Hannover City with my family. The hotel room was very well organised and very clean. I stayed in the hotel room with my family for 11 nights. After each cleaning we saw that the room was cleaned as it was when we arrived. Each time the room was cleaned, all the bed linen was replaced with clean linen, too. The breakfast was also very good. We were very pleased with our stay and plan to stay at this hotel next time we visit.

The location of the hotel is great. There was some renovation work going on during our stay, which caused us to wake up early a few days, but we were warned. Otherwise everything was perfect.

The breakfast was worthy of a trip down in the morning 😁 Bed is huge and super comfy. Love the facilities of a kettle with basic amenities including a bottle of water, coffee and tea. Parking was available for us in their underground garage which felt very safe but is limited. Nice park right opposite the hotel and they're super dog friendly. Walls are 75% soundproofed for the light sleepers. Very central location to all shops and town. Several restaurants in the nearby precinct too if you don't fancy dining at the hotel. Nice large shower with good water pressure. We didn't have much interaction with staff but they were professional and courteous.

Having some USB A/C sockets for charging near the bedside would be useful.

Location to all tourist locations, such as the town hall, old centre, musea and Maschsee. The breakfast was very good, the sauna small, but still enjoyable. The staff friendly and helpful. We were not bothered by the renovations that were being done during the final day of our stay.

The pillows could have been better, as these were very soft. However, new pillows were supplied on request. We stayed for New Year’s Eve and it would have been a nice gesture to have given guests a traditional cake or drink to celebrate at 12pm.

I wanted to be as close as possible to the Sprengel Museum, and the location was ideal: a 15 minute walk from the shopping area in the center of town, a 4 minute walk to Sprengel. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of options. I appreciated having a real desk in my room and was very comfortable working.

1. I didn’t like that there was always music at the bar and the TV was constantly on. Staff turned the TV off and music down at my request (I was the only person at the bar), but then they turned it back on saying that those were the hotel chain rules. 2. There wasn’t enough light in my room in the evening, even with all the lamps on. It was a little weird not having a main ceiling light fixture.

Central location with 10 min walk from the city center but still a very quiet street with a big park across the road. Hotel offering a discount for external parking down the road but what we found out that if you arrived at 3 p.m you can pay EUR 5 two time (each for 2.5 hours) and stay just next to the hotel until 9 am next morning. Of course if you are around the hotel and have the possibility to extend the second 2.5 hours.

Nothing, even the renovation of the facade didn’t really introduce any disturbance.

We ran the Hannover half marathon and stayed at the Mercure Hotel City. Basically just a stones throw from the start of the run. The room was spacious, the beds firm, the shower as you would wish it. Really friendly staff, despite the stress of an event weekend. And a wonderful bonus of a late checkout. I can really recommend this hotel.

The price of the breakfast, so we ate out.

Easy check-in, great location, clean room and handy for travel with our dog (park opposite the hotel is brilliant for evening/morning walks!)

Aircon system could have worked a little better meaning our dog was overly hot at night, but other than that very hard to fault the stay.

Great location and beautiful old building! Nearby is the old town, a beautiful park with a lake and the town hall, and there are many restaurants, cafes and coffee shops around. The staff was smiling and friendly, everyone spoke English fluently. My room was very comfortable with everything what I needed.

My upgraded room was lovely. The minibar, bathrobe and coffee machine made the room extra comfortable. There was a great choice of foods at breakfast, including 5 different types of eggs and the smoked salmon was delicious. The room was very clean and the staff were very helpful indeed.

we booked this hotel specifically after checking that they had parking. however, once arrived (after 8 hours driving) we were told that their car park was full and we should park in another car park and pay for it. not at all ideal when you travel with small kids and were assured they have parking! so if you are looking for a hotel with parking this hotel is not for you. there was another familly who traveled from far and were also told that there will be parking for them, but there was not. so it looks like an ongoing problem and that customers are being misled deliberately in order for them to book this hotel.
