Drove in an EV. Charging available..charger under cover, operated by RFID card, supplied by reception staff. As we arrived later than originally thought staff contacted us and briefed us on after-hours key. I If you are using an EV, and need to use charger, you need to advise the staff you will need the card if arriving a/hours. Room was large, comfortable, the road and area was quiet. Room recently renovated and motel is in the process of renovation, but this did not affect our stay.

Only one issue, the rear carpark had a very steep entry, which scrapped the front underpan on our departure for the charger (which is at the front of the building). If your car is low you may need to request front parking. As we had not visited previously we were not aware of this situation.

Room was serviced every day. Coffee pods, tea bags, biscuits were replaced daily. Pod coffee machine and awesome coffee. Bathroom was completely separate from the sleeping area. The motel is currently under renovation, but our stay was not affected. Our room had not been completely upgraded but we had no complaints. Will be fantastic once the work is completed. We had one minor issue with the air conditioning which was resolved within minutes of us bringing it to their attention.

The communal BBQ area is a great idea, but they need to ensure that noise levels are kept to a minimum at night as dozens of rooms are negatively impacted by a small group deciding to party late.

The owners and staff take immense pride in this property and its upkeep. Everything is immaculate and spotless, thoroughly thought out. The back gardens are so sweet and inviting, with lots of places to enjoy the outdoor are, including a bbq. The bed was very comfortable and our family had a great rest after a long trip. You have many amenities in the room, more than you could think of!

The decor is quite dated, although it does not look old, everything is preserved so well! With a little investment, this place could look much more modern. But either way, this did not affect our stay at all :)

The location was quiet and the car park was a great vantage point for the NYE fireworks. The pool was just the right temperature, the beds comfortable and the staff very helpful and friendly.

Just little things. Some of the surfaces in the bathroom had been painted over with white paint and were peeling, and the carpet had seen better days. But to their credit they are working on improving the motel over time and in their guidebook they do give an update on what they’re doing with it, so good on them.

The room was attractive (lovely woodwork and chair in entrance), very clean, very quiet, spacious, good pressure hot shower, beds were good - each with bedside lamps and nicely made - long length on single was good, nice quiet reverse cycle a/c left on for us so room was warm on arrival, good TV, off street parking, ample milk provided and bottle of water, quiet neighbours, easy check-in after hours. Lovely court yard outside gave a welcoming feel. Big cupboard. Crockery and cutlery. It was the sort of place you could stay comfortably for a while. Helpful staff.

There was nothing I didn’t like, but it would have been helpful to have two spare blankets rather than one as there were two beds. Bed could be a little softer but it was certainly fine.

From my room, a wonderful view of Mt Warning. Originally a 60's or 70's motel, there have been recent renovations. The main part of the room was large with an entrance from the rear and a door onto a shared verandah at the front.

The car park at the back filled up quickly and one could be forced to park on the street. The bathroom part was still 60's although clean and refurbished. However, the toilet area in my room was quite narrow. It didn't bother me but obviously 60's people were skinnier than most people today. No plug for the sink.

Its a motel with facilities that you would expect for the price. Friendly staff. Very clean, can't fault the motel for the facilities that it provided for the price. Walking distance to many places. quiet. good parking. we got the family room, which was very large for the price. good air con and tv. top floor, nice balcony with a lovely view. Would return again.

Nothing that is not expected for a motel. Was worried i would loose a key though, as reception is only open at certain times. Although there was a number to call.

Older style motel, but that means the rooms are nice, clean and spacious; everything you need for an overnighter or short stay is here. The location is good as well with the main street with shops and restaurants only about a 5-10 minute walk away. Also very efficient and contact-less check in and check out processes (if you need to arrive or leave out of hours).

The bathrooms are pretty old and a little confined, but again, it's fine for a one or two night stay. Other than this, this motel ticks all the boxes.

We've stayed here before - it's clean, roomy and comfortable. Access is relatively easy.

It would be easier if you didn't have to park on the street to get into Reception although using the guests' parking area presents its own issues with flights of stairs and trek around the gated pool...or walk out onto the street, up the slope and still a flight of stairs into reception.

Comfortable clean room. Outdoor areas are exceptional. Management & cleaners are exceptional. Our key was left in a lock box and mints were left in our room with AC running and a light on as we were arriving late with children. New management are doing beautiful things to the place. This is our first preference for overnight stays in Murwillumbah. And it's the thoughtful staff that make this place worth a stay. Thank You Murwillumbah Motor Inn.

Updating is underway so I no longer have a complaint 😂
