I needed a hotel near to Mapledurham for a race so this was ideal. Close to the river. Excellent Italian opposite. I had a single room which was compact but clean and comfy, and a bath which was great after the race!!! Pre booked breakfast the night before and everything brought to the table. Lovely cooked breakfast. Car parking was available both at the front and the rear of the hotel

Through no fault of the hotel the mainline train ran throughout the night not far from my window!! Should have realised when I booked!! Quite a tricky spot to get out of as you have to pull onto roundabout.

This place is great to stay at when in Pangbourne, very near the rail station and on a bus route, easy to get to Reading and Didcot. The location is also great for walks along the River Thames. The hotel is also partly a pub with a good selection of beers, cider, spirits, wine, and soft drinks. There is also a restaurant and bar food, great quality and tasty dishes. The bedrooms are all superb and so comfortable, I can't remember how many times I've stayed there since 2021, but will keep going back for more. All the staff are so friendly and helpful.

There's nothing that I didn't like.

Lovely room, gave us everything we needed and extras ie mugs in room instead of cups, extra pillows, cleaned our room during 2 night stay. Staff very friendly and went out there way. Didn't hear noise from the bar at night, opposite a coop so very handy. Breakfast was was fantastic even lattes for breakfast as well as tea coffees, would 100% stay again.

No fault to hotel but trains loud and annoying at night. Was hot in rooms/ building but did have a fan in room on arrival.

The staff were lovely and the room was clean, well appointed, and comfortable. We were about as far from the pub itself as I think you could be, which meant we never heard anything from there (even though it was a Friday/Saturday we stayed), though it also placed us near the train line. This was loud but manageable, doesn't seem to run much overnight, and didn't really bother us.

The shower was serviceable but fairly poor. It was an old "over the bath" affair, which meant you had to use both hot and cold independently, so lots of water wasted trying to get it to not burn or freeze you. Once you did get it right, the pressure was unfortunately poor. A power shower would solve a lot! The room also doesn't ventilate that well, which was fine but did leave a slightly musty smell. Nothing awful, but expect better for this price.

Room was small but perfectly serviceable, fairly quiet despite the express trains, even so we enjoyed it and had a really nice stay.

Nice shower, but shower door hit the loo when opening. The sink wasn't plumbed in properly, the overflow wasn't connected to anything so water just gushed across the floor when it reached that high. Bed was incredibly non-supportive. (read soft). Room was incredibly hot, with just a fan to move the air around a bit.

Absolutely great place to stay in the centre of Pangbourne, conveniently situated for shops, railway station, community centre and pubs/ cafes/ restaurants. The bedrooms are lovely, clean, and very comfortable. The full English breakfast starts the day well, I always love to partake whenever I stay here. The pub part of the establishment is lovely, plus there is a great food menu to choose from, with the addition on Sunday of their traditional roasts. Management and staff are always friendly and love to have a chat with them when visiting. Nearby you will find the Thames and there are some great walks to be had around the area. I will certainly be staying here again in the future.

There certainly isn't anything that I didn't like - it was all good.

Central location with parking. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great value for money. It was hot and fresh. Great selection of drinks in the bar.

Had to wait quite a while for a drink as it only seemed like one person dealing with checking people in and serving in the bar. However, I appreciate that they could of had staffing issues and were let down last minute. Room was dusty and didn't feel clean. Crisp packet behind the bedside cabinet. Bathroom had hairs around the top of the bath and a couple of dead small flies. Appreciate its an old building but still could be cleaner.

From the time we arrived till the time we left we had a great time, all the staff were very friendly and accomadating, especially Dee who went out of here way to help us thank you so much..xx

The atmosphere and kindness we received made our stay more special..q

Easy access to where we were going, breakfast was excellent, good value for money. Pretty clean, didn’t go the whole hog of running fingers over every surface but it was a bit dusty here and there. Overall I would stay again.

The mattress was sooo old, didn’t sleep well at all, just kept rolling into my hubby, a few more signs needed to indicate where the rooms are. More parking spaces needed.

As soon as we walked in and were greeted we knew we'd booked the right place. Very polite attentive staff. We had room 15. Called Toad Hall. Wow 4 poster. Huge bathroom with a lovely big bath. Slept so well. Both my wife and myself were totally relaxed and refreshed ready to carry on celebrating on anniversary. We'll definitely be going back. Thanks
