Beautiful hotel. Overlooking the river and lovely surroundings. The staff was very nice and the room itself was very nice and cosy. The bed was very large indeed - perhaps emperor size. The restaurant in the hotel is one of the best in the area - highly recommend

No air conditioner .. can be uncomfortable in peak summer though the staff was kind enough to provide us with two fans which did help. Other small issues we faced - mainly in the shower - The shampoo bottle didn't work - had to be opened to get the shampoo out. The water pressure wasn't good enough. Actually my StoneStream shower at home works much better. Should carry it the next time. The shower went from really hot to cold making it a bit tough to set the correct temperature. The water was probably too soft or too hard - it wasn't easy to rub off the soap in the shower.

The setting is absolutely stunning. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was spacious and overlooked the river.

We are in the restaurant and although the food was very tasty it wasn’t very warm. The waiter did offer to take it back but service had been slow and we had waited quite a while for food so we decided to put up with it. Such a shame as we were looking forward to the meal. We decided to cancel our breakfast reservation because of this. Also, and this is a very little thing, but my bedside lamp did not work. When you pay nearly £300 for a night, you expect the little things to be working.

Room was on the 1st floor and a reasonable size but incredibly hot.There was Dyson type fan but we didn’t seem to be able to get the temperature down particularly low and it was quite noisy to have on all night.We heard others at breakfast also discussing the heat in the room.Dinner on the deck was lovely and the food of a good standard as was the breakfast.Wait staff were very good.

Some instructions for the operation of the fan would have been useful although we tried many ways to get the temperature lower without success.

gorgeous place, lots of different areas to sit, eat, drink, lounge. we loved the atmosphere and the staff were all super lovely and helpful. food was delicious, drinks menu was extensive. we stayed in a Biggy Riverside room and the bed was enormous and it had a lovely bath and hot shower. the weather was awful while we were there so we stayed cozy inside but it looked like river walks would be beautiful if it wasn't raining. loads of dogs, kids and family groups too, which although we were there as a couple gave it a nice relaxed atmosphere. we can't wait to come back.

there was only 1 vegan dinner choice (mushroom burger which was absolutely delicious) so we would have not wanted to stay for more than 1 night unfortunately as we loved it. no vegan butter at all for breakfast. no clear vegan breakfast apart from porridge but our waitress helped us order beans, mushrooms, toast etc to create a breakfast.

The hotel is in a beautiful village set right on the river Thames. It has a lovely atmosphere and is always buzzing with other guests and locals using the facilities. There are several places to eat on site or in the village itself. Our room overlooked the river and had a balcony which was a huge bonus. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

There is no air conditioning and as we were staying in a heat wave it got quite warm in the room. They did provide a fan though which helped.

Great location, fabulous room, although a long walk from reception, but hey I was on a walking holiday, staff could not have been more helpful

The restaurant is vey pricey and the quality of the food that we had wasn't great, £17 for a small pizza that looked like a kid had thrown it together, its a very wealthy area, having said that I've had far better value in North London, keep in mind they want £28 p/p for breakfast and thats after paying £276 for a suite, we walked over the bridge to the coffee shop, excellent food

The restaurant staff were efficient and helpful. The room was comfortable but in the bathroom hooks for towels near to shower would have helped. The location overlooking the river was superb. That when we were told that a function with the usual live music would not go on beyond midnight, this was exactly what happened which we found to reflect the hotel wishing to cater for all patrons.

See the remark about absence of towel hooks above. The absence of sufficient tea in room AND the failure to replace the milk in fridge, whilst having removed the half full bottle which was in fridge initially.

The room although not overlooking the river was very quiet - the beds were extremely comfortable -and the shower was fab! We attended a wedding here and the food at the wedding event was delicious

Think the staff in the restaurant seem preoccupied and not paying attention to the service? Our breakfast arrived stone cold as did our coffee, they did replace it but we were waiting forever, we were in the restaurant for an hour and 10 mins for avocado and eggs on sour dough! Admittedly, after complaining to reception they did refund the cost but, again very slow service at dinner, not sure why they weren't exactly swept of their feet?

Location. Close to river, little patio outside our Riverside Biggy was sundrenched on waking, and relatively private as river was briefly glimpsed across lawn and tree filled area. Lovely super king bed and big room. Shame we were at a wedding nearby so didn't get full benefit as only there from 22.45 to 11am - mostly asleep! Moveable two-sided magnifying mirror! Horrifying but really useful for glasses wearer! Full English breakfast lovely.

Rather impersonal service. Mean on the tea bags etc in room. Only two plain tea supplied. Decaf tea/coffee and fruit ok. Kefir pancakes for breakfast disappointing. Too thick, too many, (4× 15cm) not enough compote or yogurt.

The room was lovely. It was clean and the views from the room and restaurant were amazing. The staff were very helpful.

We had quite a lot of spiders in our room when we arrived. I think the cleaning staff should have removed them. The room was really clean but I think this should have definitely been done. We removed 4 spiders ourselves. Some we could not reach as they were high on the ceiling but could have been reached with a hoover or brush.
