As walkers doing the Ridgeway comfy beds and a bath were essential and these were perfect for us. It was a hot day so the room was quite warm, but opening the windows made it refreshing. I usually hate hotel pillows but these were just right. Also, tea and coffee in the room was useful. It's great they do breakfast these days as an option and they were a really good size! The owner/manager was really helpful and went the extra mile for us the day we left, which was so greatly appreciated. Great stash of Nat Geo magazines to peruse in bed ;)

No dislikes. A little fridge in the room would have been ideal though. Walkers are likely to want to cool their water bottles down :)

The place was clean the staff had friendly attitude

the bathroom was freezing cold. its December but it was like a fridge. the breakfast was impersonal never saw staff. continental breakfast was cereal and toast. the room was clean bed was comfy but very basic. Good value for £68.00.but wouldn't.pay full.price £80.00. there were two of us but only 1 hand towell.1 bath towel by the time we realised no staff were about to.tell.

We had a great stay and lovely meal in the pub which has a cosy atmosphere. The children's menu and the games cupboard meant my 6 year old was well catered for. The hot drinks selection in the room was great for a chilly day. The staff were friendly and helpful, answering any questions we had and offering to carry things to our room. We'd recommend a stay here and would definitely return.

There was nothing to fault!

Very welcoming and friendly staff, comfortable bed, great shower (fantastic after a day out in the sun). Set in a lovely small village. Enjoyed the pub and the drinks and chatting with fellow guests. Was great to be allowed to take the dog with me. Would definitely be happy to come back.

Old pub/B&B located in the centre of the village with ample car parking. Room was spacious, with high ceiling and very light, much better than we expected in an old pub (expected a small, snug room). Comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was a "help yourself" continental style - adequate for the day.

Disappointed that the kitchen was closed on Monday but we had a meal at the pub opposite. A minor point, not a complaint. Stairs were quite steep (it is an old pub after all) - was not a problem for us but maybe for anyone with walking issues.

Lovely village,accomodation perfect for us. V dog friendly.Pub was so comfy n Will was welcoming. The outside metal stairway was an issue fr the whippets. We did have to lift them up n down. Wouldnt stop us returning though. Thoroughly enjoyable ,relaxed nights stay. Just wish we had longer.

Friendly, welcoming and very accommodating . The food was very good and very reasonably priced. The breakfast was a self service arrangement and was adequate for our needs

It is perhaps unfortunate that the pub is positioned at the end of a little one way system and our room overlooked the road. We were awake the first morning earlier than we would have liked but the second morning we had no such issue. It should be mentioned that a number of the rooms didn’t overlook this road

Self-service fine. Suggest written instructions for coffee machine stuck to wall to make it easier to operate. ( we are retired and not very gadget-minded!) Room very pleasant, comfortable and clean. Also quiet. Staff friendly.

The only minor quibble was the size of the washbasin in the ensuite. It was very small and difficult to use as the shelf was immediately above it. I suggest moving the shelf to above the cistern behind the toilet.

Good location close to Harwell. I could walk out onto the Ridgeway and see Red Kites and deer easily before or after work. Although listed as Room Only, they have a breakfast room with cereal and toast which very good.

Very dog friendly. Grass beer garden at the side and near to some nice walks. They also did a complementary continental breakfast which was great for us as we had a long travel ahead.

Door to family room had a broken hinge so made getting in and out of the room a bit difficult.
