We’ve been before. The breakfast is really well cooked. Clean cooked and lovely. Having Oat milk too an added bonus. Staff in restaurant lovely. Staff in pool area lovely. Staff in afternoon and evening lovely. Rooms lovely. Bed comfy. Spacious. Loved the pool perfect on such a hot day

On arrival at 11.45am tried to explain to a reception female staff we were aware we could not check in till 3pm but would like to put our bags some where cooler as such a hot day as had food in our car. Kept interrupting us and quite abrupt telling us there were no rooms and the chef wouldn’t allow it in his kitchen. We never asked either of these questions. Quite off putting attitude as last time reception amazing and all other staff there on. Needs to listen to people. New carpet. Struggled to open and shut door. No fridge but my daughter had one in her room. Bath area needs to be cleaned between tiles. Mould quite bad

Everyone from reception, dining, room attendants to spa team were absolutely amazing, friendly and courteous. The staff at the hotel really made our stay. We also had a great massage and spa treatment with Necy! The pool and spa facilities were also great. For the price we paid for 4 nights B&B it was excellent value. Plus the surrounding areas had lots of activities for toddlers. Just an overall fantastic stay with hardworking and friendly team of staff that made our stay 5*.

We unfortunately we didn’t like that the rooms didn’t have a fridge which is vital for families and my elderly parents needed a fridge for their medication. Also we didn’t really enjoy our evening meal nothing to do with the staff there as everyone was so friendly but the food was lacking flavour and my burger was really soggy. The set menu could do with having more options and not just the usual fish and chips and burgers as not everyone likes to eat chips. So unfortunately we only visited one night during the 2 half board days I had booked.

This was my second stay at the hotel as I visit family in the area and I will continue to use the hotel on future visits The food is lovely and with a gluten free diet I am really happy to see lots of gf options on the menu including a fantastic batter on the fish and chips and ALL the desserts!! The staff are all really friendly and professional and go out of their way to make the stay lovely for you. The hotel and rooms are immaculately clean I didn't use the spa this time but the pool is lovely and the gym is well equipped I feel really comfortable when I stay here and my family including 2 year old granddaughter are also made to feel very welcome too when they join me for dinner

A more than fair price given all that was included, a great dinner and breakfast, better than "good" I would say, decent sized room, larger with better facilities than I expected plus access to a health club with spa and good parking. A no brainer for anyone looking to stay in the area on business like myself I would say. Highly recommended!

If I had to be picky I would say the room was very warm but that may suit others and my stay was during July during a particularly hot July. That said a fan was provided and I chose not to use it.

This hotel provides good value for money. We booked half board and thought the quality of the evening meals was excellent. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The spa facilities were decent. The staff are superb, throughout the hotel; courteous and friendly.

The door entry system wasn’t functioning so we had to be escorted from reception to our room on every occasion. However, despite the tedious situation for the staff they were always cheerful. The pool was a little cold for a spa hotel. The temperature of the water from our shower fluctuated from cold to almost scalding.

Very friendly staff - couldn’t have been more helpful. Even gave my daughter a free hot chocolate! Breakfast was great. Room was clean and bed comfortable.

Spa area was dirty and seemingly in disrepair. Broken tiles around the swimming pool covered in soggy wet towels which were in the middle of a repair. Ceiling panel fallen through. A lot of hair on the floor. The pool was quite chilly by the hot tub was very warm and the sauna and steam room were good. Spa slippers were left in the changing room when we arrived - they were still there the next day. I didn’t go into the main gym or spa salon so can’t comment on those.

The hotel itself was just right. The staff were welcoming and dealt with us professionally. The room was clean and bright.

It was extremely difficult to deal directly with a member of staff before taking up the booking. Everything seemed to depend on Booking.com. The room had a terrace - there was rubbish on the terrace which presumably was left over from a previous guest. When we went for breakfast at 9am on the Sunday morning, the hot breakfast was good but there was little left in the cheese, meat and fruit section. The breakfast times were given differently on the TV, in the room booklet and by staff, and varied between 7am-8.35am all week(TV), 7am-10am Sunday (room booklet) and 7.30am-10.30am Sunday (staff).

Breakfast was nice & the fruit & yogurt choices were v good. Most of the cooked breakfast options were good. Loved the eggs, hash browns & mushrooms. The bacon was cool so could have been better. The pool, hottub & steam room/sauna were fantastic & v clean. Gym looked v well equipped. Staff were v friendly & helpful.

Some of hotel looked worn & needed refurb & modernising. The lift was broken & 3 flights of stairs with lots of bags & suitcase wasn't ideal. Wasn't aware of broken lift until I checked in.

The hotel had excellent health club and spa facilities. Restaurant accommodated our dietary needs well.

Standard room did not have AC. No mention of this when checking in. Had to pay extra to change rooms. Despite being 30 degrees. Not enough time given after Health club closed to shower and leave. Asked to leave 5 mins later. Restaurant denied us deserts with no prior notice about closing. Some areas of the hotel require updating and better signage Both lifts at different locations in the hotel were out of service.

3 night stay. Excellent location and there’s plenty of free parking. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel public areas were clean and welcoming. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We were able to get a good night’s sleep. The bathroom was large and looked quite new. Restaurant was very good. Breakfast was buffet style, standard options. You can ask for fried or poached eggs and they’re cooked fresh, which is a nice touch as they don’t keep well under the buffet lights. Bacon and sausages were decent quality, not the cheap ones often used in buffets. We had dinner in the restaurant on our first night (planned to eat out the other days). Small but varied menu. Average prices. Food quality was good. We had the cheese burgers and they were really lovely. I used the swimming pool and spa. The whole facility felt modern, well maintained and was very clean. The staff member on reception was friendly and helpful. The pool is a decent size for swimming lengths and I thought the water temperature was about right. It’s all one depth, which is perfect for the less confident swimmer. Spa facilities are limited to a sauna, steam room, cold shower and spa pool. There are treatments available but they looked quite expensive so I didn’t book anything. Overall, a great find and we’d stay there again if we’re in the area.

The lift is out of order, but we were only on the first floor, so that wasn’t really a problem for us. Reception staff offered to carry our bags upstairs when we arrived. On leaving, our lovely cleaning lady virtually insisted on carrying them down for us, which really did turn the negative into a positive. In our room (101), some wallpaper above the radiator was peeling, but really that’s a small thing. The spa jacuzzi pool could be a bit warmer.
