The room was lovely- with an added bottle of free water and homemade cookies. Lots of free parking. Breakfast was great. My only thought was to please make the menu a bit clearer what items were available to guests staying at the hotel.

The lock and key to enter the room were fine, but you could not close the door without turning the key in the lock for the door to shut. The locks need oiling perhaps. There were guests slamming their doors at all times of the day/night which made our walls vibrate! Even though there was a fan provided, it wasn't quite enough for the extreme heat recently.

Would highly recommend this hotel. Just back from spending 3 night there & the staff were amazing, the couldn't do enough for you. The rooms are spotless & quite roomy, bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious & plenty to choose from, didn't have dinner there but saw others having it & it looked great. We had a drink is the bar which had a great atmosphere, plenty of seating in bar also in the front of hotel & a beautiful garden in the back which would be perfect to relaxing in summer. We we're visiting family in Christchurch which is 12mins away so location was perfect for us. We had an early start on our departure day & they offered to make us a breakfast to take with us, touches like this is what make this place special & shows how they appreciate their guests. We will definitely back.

Good location and relatively easy to find, with large car park. Very helpful and friendly staff encountered throughout the stay e.g. the TV was not working in our allocated room but the staff quickly relocated us to a much larger room without question or delay. The room facilities were very good and the large bed was extremely comfortable. Large bar/restaurant area and the food and drink (ie beer) for dinner were also very good.

Breakfast was included in the room charge but this didn't provide a full choice from the a la carte menu. For some items, an extra charge would be made if not included in the "standard" selection. Most hotels, for those requiring guests to order from a breakfast menu, would still have a separate area offering cereals, bread/toast. juices, teas/coffee etc, but this hotel didn't. This means if you ordered cereal, say, then a cooked meal to follow would cost extra. Somewhat surprising. However, the food we did select was very good.

I loved drinking and eating in this pub 30 years ago when I lived in the area and my return for an overnight stay with my husband did not disappoint. Amanda and her staff are wonderfully friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had been out for a big family celebration lunch and so we only had a light evening snack (cheese and biscuits) with a glass of tawny port recommended by the barman which was all delicious. Our room was spotless, the bed comfortable and after a pretty good night's sleep our breakfast was yummy. Great quality and freshly cooked. We will be back.

Can't really think of anything that I didn't like. Wish we could have stayed longer ... and we probably will next time 🙂

Largish inn with character and lovely, friendly staff. All very clean. Good food. Good room with tea/coffee and biscuits and fresh milk provided in a little thermos. Fan provided for hot nights. Bathroom with a bit of space and good shower. Water lovely and hot. Nice smellies provided. Lots of parking and space to sit outside.

Hotel inevitably suffers from traffic noise from main road and airport however road traffic did not keep us awake. A plane at 6.24am did wake me but we did have the window wide open as it was so warm.

Spotlessly clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff were very professional and friendly. We had forgotten the plug to the phone charger, and the waiter found one for us to borrow, which was super helpful. We had our evening meal there which was delicious. We had paid for breakfast and because we had to check out very early for our flight from Bournemouth airport (which was only a 3 min drive away) they provided us with a takeaway breakfast to (a juice, pastry and an apple) I would highly recommend this hotel.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good and reasonably priced. Special offer on Wednesdays gave 25% off food. Good choice for breakfast. Room was spacious and bed was large and comfortable. Considerably cheaper than similar nearby establishment we stayed at last year and just as good if not better.

Noisy road so couldn’t have window open but a Dyson fan had been provided in the room so not a big issue. Couldn’t sit in garden because of wasps.

Beautiful room and a lovely restaurant. Food was exceptional, especially the chickpea and halloumi salad! Staff took into account our preferences. Congratulations on your great customer service! 👏🏻 And for the small touches, I will mention the excellent quality fresh coffee in room and the lovely curtains 😊

Not sure if this can be sorted. At 5 am the hot water heater must have got switched on. There was a consecutive knocking noise for about 30 seconds that woke us up. We soon fell back asleep after.

The pub/ hotel was very clean and very well maintained. Food was very good and freshly cooked and the plates were warm. All staff used a teatowel to bring the food to the table. All bar and restaurant staff, especially Sarah, were welcoming and friendly. One waiter even checked the gluten free needs of a customer. Our room was a little small but comfortable and had enough storage space. Best bit was being offered a flask of FRESH milk for our tea and coffee in our room. Will definitely stay again.

Our shower was a little small for us ( room 11,as we are a little larger than most people) and we kept catching the hot shower unit on our skin. Also the base needs a bit of TLC. However it did the job and it's not a complaint just an observation.

Everything was very good ,clean and wonderful helpful staff .Always smiling and friendly .one of the best stays we have enjoyed! Food was excellent and of a high standard. Both Breakfast and everything meals were excellent. Choices were very good and a wide variety catering for many tastes and occasions . Hats off to the kitchen ,staff and overall Welcoming vibe. Will definitely pull in to this station for a stay again. Thank you one ans All .

Nothing but television was not working well. Due to no internet for the Tv and interference with the pictures from an unexplained source.
