The room we had the Pierce Suite was very spacious and pretty well appointed. The breakfast food available to cook in the communal kitchen was a great idea, and very welcome to start the day of a long drive. Food in the restaurant for evening meal was also very good.

It was a bit difficult to find the right way in to find the reception. There are no signs from the car park where you can find reception.

There are three rooms above the hotel. The room was quiet even though the restaurant below was heavily booked, we stayed on a Thursday night. Our room was huge and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The hotel offers cereal, toast, bacon and eggs for breakfast if you are happy to make it yourself in the shared kitchen. No additional cost. Easy check in and friendly staff.

There is no lift. Everything has to be carried up two flights of stairs. We only took what we needed to the room, so it wasn’t a problem for us.

I thought the Breakfast idea was good. (Although did not utilize it) The size of the room was great. Two TV's was a bonus especially that you can watch the football from the bath. Three rooms in one were good, it made the space appear so much bigger.

The large Spa Bath needs attention as it is what encouraged me to choose the room. Please do not cheapen out on getting it back to a high standard as it does need some work otherwise the room is clean and very pleasing to walk into.

This was a large and comfortable room with all we needed. Breakfast items were provided in a well stocked kitchen down the hall. A good place to stop on our way to the great ocean road and great value for money. Downstairs is a bar and casino but there was no noise or disruption at all and the accommodation area of the hotel is behind a separat locked door so felt very secure.

The room was on the first floor with no lift but staff were very helpful and offered help with bags if needed.

Beautiful, cosy room, lovely complimentary breakfast in the common kitchen, The food was adequate for me, plenty of parking.

Checked in and went upstairs after check-in time and housekeeping still had not finished our room. We had to wait outside until the lady was done. There are only 4 rooms available so was wondering how it took so long to clean them... beds were a bit hard. Husband did not think the food was very good unfortunately.

The room was spacious and functional. The shower was huge! The community kitchen was fantastic - we had the bacon and eggs that were supplied for breakfast for dinner! There was also a washer / dryer to use if needed.

We were Ok with this but just so others know - the rooms are on the top floor with two flights of stairs. The shower in the morning was at best luke warm - not sure what affected this as our shower the night before was amazing and hot!

Great food and location. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Handy to have the kitchen and a washing machine available as well. Great dining downstairs. Not for those who don't like stairs but that didn't bother us.

The bed and pillows were very firm and a bit disappointing as the rest was perfect. The king size bed was joined together with a hard rib down the middle. The pillows were very large, which is great, but they were also very high and very firm. Just didn't suit either of us unfortunately.

From check in, friendly staff, helpful too. Room was so spacious, facilities so good. The rooms so clean. Had a meal in the restaurant it was very good and great value. The room was very quiet and a great comfy bed. We had the facilities to cook our own breakfast as hotel didn’t do breakfast. Amazing facility so good and something we didn’t expect. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you to the staff for a great stay.

Absolutely nothing but to like!

Loved the room, it was such an expected surprise. Value for money, especially with breakfast included. Loved the little touches. The rooms are stunning and well set up. Love the huge bathroom and living space in Mathews. The shared kitchen with our own eggs and bacon was brilliant. Location is perfect to pop out and see things.

The menu in the room wasn't clear that you could do room service. We thought it was for the restaurant down stairs. So we went into the pub to eat and ordered our meals, and they were more expensive than the same meals on the menu to have in our room.

The room was the largest room we have ever stayed in a regional area. Very comfortable . Great meals at the pub downstairs . Also loved that they left provisions to cook your own breakfast in the kitchen .

My only concern is that the windows in the room have extra glazing to keep out noise but you can’t open them for fresh air. There is an air con in the room but sometimes fresh air is good also
