Comfort Inn The Lakes Motel, Mt Gambier, SA – A Very Pleasant Experience We stayed at the Comfort Inn The Lakes on our way to Adelaide and had a delightful experience, especially after a recent disappointment at another Comfort Inn. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. We were warmly greeted by Val at reception, who was friendly and helpful, providing clear directions and great tips for sightseeing in the area. Our room was spacious, exactly as described, and thoughtfully equipped with ample cutlery, plates, bowls, and a jug, ensuring a comfortable stay. The bathroom was large and well-maintained, the bed was very comfortable, and the digital TV with Foxtel services was a welcome touch. The room was clean and fresh, and a thoughtful welcome card from the housekeeping staff, Boom, added a personal and inviting touch. The motel’s location is excellent, situated near Mt Gambier’s Valley Lake and the iconic Blue Lake, making it a perfect base for exploring the area. Overall, this was a very pleasing stay, and we highly recommend Comfort Inn The Lakes. We will definitely choose this motel again in the future.

Given the larger size of the room a small kitchenette type setting will greatly improve the experience

The room was clean, warm and comfortable. There was a balcony with a view over the whole city which was gorgeous. It was great to have coffee and tea supplied and a good sized fridge. The bathroom was a good size and the shower was great! Wifi connection was fantastic, and the tv was easy to operate. The customer service was excellent, the ladies at the desk were fantastic!

I wasn't sure what to expect but this Comfort inn exceeded all expectations. The room was large, the bed was comfy, the seats were comfy, the TV had Foxtel, the Spa was great and all the linens were top notch. The Location was excellent and close to great walks and a short drive into town.

There was no exhaust fan in the toilet. No lamps for warm ambient lighting. Not a deal breaker though.

The location was great, really close to the main street but also to tourist attractions like the Blue Lake. The room was nice and spacious and the bed was really comfortable!! We did a late check in so didn't deal much with staff, but on check out they were really friendly.

The water pressure in the shower was a bit average. It was really hard to wash out my shampoo and conditioner but that was the only thing I could fault.

The location is very good, in a quiet part of Mount Gambier, close to the Blue Lake with views over the city from our executive room. You can park your car outside the room. The room itself was large, very clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed, huge bathroom, and there was enough crockery and cutlery for us to make our own breakfasts. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed due to the Christmas/New Years holiday. We were staying to visit family and would definitely choose this accommodation again, it was very good. Nice staff also.

We liked everything but a floor length mirror behind the door and bed lamps would make it even better

There was a person who is smoking in a room around midnight 1 am and due the that person the smokes alarms have triggered overnight and it ruined the sleep and this is something that needs to considered by the hotel management and needs to fine that kind of person and refund the night stay due to inconvenience caused by the other guests.

Had a great view of Mt Gambier from our room as it is up on a hill. Clean and comfy bed

Needs some minor matinance done in the room which would of made it heaps better, fresh sealant around vanity unit, new shelf put in where fridge is and new outdoor chair as the one outside our room arms of chair was all rusty

The location drew us to pick the Comfort Inn and we weren’t disappointed. Enjoyed the opportunity to walk around the lakes. Hadn’t realised there was a pool and gym when we booked, so had a lovely surprise to find that. The room was so well appointed - tables, chairs and armchairs. Would choose to stay here if we get to come back to Mount Gambier!

The room was comfortable, spotlessly clean and quiet. It had a spectacular view overlooking Mt Gambier.

One of the reasons the property was chosen was its restaurant. Unfortunately, being a Sunday, it was closed. Due to fire regulations there was no toaster. Despite the great view, there was inadequate seating on the deck to enjoy it.

Clean spacious room, large comfortable bed. Spa, seperate vanity area with double basins. Nice location, nice view. Plenty of parking and room to manoeuvre vehicle. Lots of rooms but in multiple seperate sections, so didn't feel right on top of each other.

Water pressure in shower wasn't great.
