BIG apartment. 3 bedrooms, though the understanding was that we not use two as we were just a couple, and that was perfectly fine. We had the use of everything else - kitchen, lounge room, bedroom, two bathrooms, balcony. The apartment was bigger than our first house! Bed was comfy, linen was good quality, kitchen had all conceivable appliances and inclusions. Lounges were big and comfortable too. Having laundry facilities in the apartment was a great bonus. The view to the southeast of the beach to Angourie was very nice. Spa was big, and warm. Underground parking was easy to access. Reception staff - Jodie and Renee - were lovely.

We would have appreciated a lift - carrying bags up the stairs from the basement carpark to the 2nd floor gets harder as we get older… In fairness, I didn’t ask before arriving, so we copped it sweet; and lifts can’t be retrofitted when the whole property is this extensive. Also, the bathrooms had some very odd design elements: no door on the big ensuite shower, so the water went everywhere; odd high glass shelves in the corners of the main bathroom shower that I banged my head on, and hands on when washing hair. No exhaust fan in a bathroom that contained a clothes dryer. These were strange decisions, but they didn’t affect our holiday; they’re just things we noted.

Lovely weekend getaway from the Gold Coast to the peaceful town of Yamba. The property was in a very nice part of the town by the ocean and not too far from town via car. Lots of facilities in the resort like the pool, bbq and tennis court. Lovely reception lady and we enjoyed the Nespresso machine & coffee pods.

The shower near the main hall needed to be cleaned better, lots of black mold on the walls and door very unpleasant to shower around that ~ recommend using the strike mold cleaner or something similar. The sofa was very uncomfortable for the back and it needed to be vacuumed under the pillows that you sit on because we dropped something under there and moved it only to find lots of dirt and dust. Under beds also needed vacuuming. We had lots of sugar given but no salt or pepper. Kitchen didn’t have any scissors or good knifes either.

Just across from the ocean, very soothing to listen to. Pool was excellent, and a good size. Liked the barbecue facilities provided beside the pool, so nice to have a few drinks and BBQ at sundown. Well maintained garden setting, and the landscaping is very nice, pretty, tidy, tropical. Very quiet location too. The apartment was quite roomy, and the kitchen well equipped with more than enough to cook with.(Though being on holidays we decided to confine 'cooking' to breakfasts.) Bathrooms also a good size plenty of room to put toiletries.

A lift, but that's being picky! The stairs got a bit tiresome after a while, as parking was in the basement, and apartment on 2nd floor. But that's not practical!

We were in unit 21 which is a top floor ocean facing one, so we could sit on the sizeable balcony and watch the whales and dolphins frolic. Very short stroll to the beach. The unit is spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. It’s a short drive to the main part of Yamba with plenty of decent restaurants and take-aways. The fresh prawns from the Co-op are outstanding. Excellent value for the money.

There’s no lift and it’s 3 flights of stairs from the car park (which we were told before the booking was confirmed). Nonetheless it’s worth it for the view from the apartment.

We’ve stayed at The Sands about 5 times now but this was the first time we had stayed in a town house instead of beach front apartment. Each property is privately owned and managed by The Sands so they can be variables regarding furnishings quality and comfort. We were so lucky with this particular booking as the people who owned it had spent a lot of money on the property and it was well equipped. It was exceptional value for money.

The Bed! The pool and bbq area is fabulous for group bookings. The proximity to the beach.

We were in a Seaview apartment which had beautiful views of the beach. It was well appointed, comfy furnishings, everything you needed for a family stay. It’s about 10-15min walk into central Yamba which if you had small kids might not be ideal but we were happy to walk to dinner each night. The weather was pretty rough on the beach in front of us the time we were there but loved the more protected beaches for surfing and boogie boarding. We hired boards from the reception which was ideal. Loved our short stay in Yamba.

Very close to the beach, apartments were comfortable and very well-equipped. The apartment was reasonably clean however quite a few items in the kitchen cupboards were not washed properly. We chose a ground floor apartment for ease of access - the ground floor unit we were in, there was a break in the trees across the road so we could see the beach. Some of the other ground floor units would only have a view of the trees, which is still nice, but we were happy we could see the beach. You need to climb up 3 steps at the front of the complex to take your luggage in, so not completely accessible if you have a bung knee. Once in the apartment though, we were delighted with the layout of the apartment and the facilities - the pool area in particular is really lovely and the gardens well maintained. We found the complex very peaceful as well. Will definitely be back as we enjoyed our stay.

The location is outstanding with amazing views. Lots of birdlife and sealife to enjoy. Close proximity to shops and restaurants. Well equipped, clean, comfortable apartment.

A let down for this beautiful apartment is the small very uncomfortable double bed in the main bedroom. Definitely needs a comfortable mattress at the very least or an upgrade to a new Queen bed. We struggled with the 3 very long flights of stairs. Not suitable for elderly or people with knee or hip problems.

We enjoyed our stay in a beautiful apartment with a lovely view. I wish there had been a lift to help us carry our bags and things to the room on the top floor. Once inside it is worth it for the position and view though - but it felt like we did lots of trips up and down the stairs (including groceries, etc). Getting old! The apartment was beautifully decorated in a beachy theme, the bedroom was a good size and the bed very comfortable. The kitchen was huge and had almost everything we needed. There was an air conditioner but we didn't need it as unfortunately we had quite grey and drizzly weather. I would definitely stay here again, but ask for a room on a lower level. The location was good if you want a view and stay near the beach. We needed to drive to restaurants, pubs and shops. But that was us - probably could have tried Uber or walked if we were younger and fitter or if the weather had been better. Only about one or two kms away. The resort had a beautiful pool and relaxing area but we didn't get to use it. Reception staff were lovely as well and we were happy to have secure on site parking.

Would have loved a lift.

We loved the location, right opposite Pippi Beach & we enjoyed some lovely walks along the beach. We had fabulous views & loved watching the sea & the rain clouds coming in! We stayed in Unit 23. The unit had everything we needed to live very comfortably for 5 days and everything was in good condition and worked as it should. The underground car park was really easy to access.

Unit 23 is up 3 flights of stairs from the ground floor & 4 from the car park. The unit itself is 2 stories, so we had lots of stairs to cover. If you are staying here, it is best to travel light.
