Probably the best Hotel that I stayed at in the whole of India. I had a very nice time in this beautiful historic house that was tastefully restored - the rooms are very nice as well, with a clean bathroom and common areas to spend time in. The staff was very caring and friendly. All in all I can recommend it!

The bed sheets unfortunately had some stains, and a blanket cover would have been nice.

Basic facilities and a bit tired. But that is reflected in the price.

Mateus Boutique is perfectly located in the Portuguese quarter of Panjim. The staff is extremely helpful, easy going and nice. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed.

We were 4 friends in two rooms and we were super happy about our stay. The only negative was related to cleaning; i.e. changing bed linens and emptying trash cans but that's easy to fix.

location was nice. close to all the old bars and nice eateries and casinos. caretakers: suraj and krishna: amazing folks. they went out of their way for everything and anything. the trip was smooth bc of these 2 fellas.

there's nothing not to like imo. great stuff overall. that said: a small suggestion: i saw Suraj cooking food and it smelled absolutely out of this world. so maybe if people staying over can have food at the place itself instead of eating out or ordering in every time, it will be the only place i ever stay in goa on all of my trips.

The location was outstanding. Mateus is at the very heart of the nicest part of the Old town. The staff were very friendly and accommodating especially to my son's family who had a few issues in the middle of the night that the staff dealt with admirably. Breakfast was limited but ok

Outstanding, outstanding, outstanding. Faultless service, and beautiful decor. Based right in the middle of the old town, it was within striking distance of everything. The staff was so courteous, and the manager Derek was amazing, there was nothing that he didn't know about the town, where to go, or how to get there. He was excellent. Try and get the superior room it is worth the extra. Met some lovely people there. I would highly recommend this hotel. Lovely bed, great showers. If we get the chance we will definitely come back here again.

That we had only booked it for 2 nights.

The location was excellent: right in the historic Fontainhas area, a vibrant (and safe) place. A beautiful old Portuguese style house still in the hands of the original family. The current owner’s son, an architect, together with an interior designer has lovingly restored the house, which had become neglected. We loved our big room upstairs, the mixture of old and new furniture and the wooden old floors (downstairs: beautiful terracotta floors). The breakfast is simple but good. We should also mention the charming staff, especially Marisa, and the young men who helped out in many ways. Marisa was very supportive when our plane was seriously delayed: she kept in touch constantly and helped us in many ways. With her charming and professional manner, her intelligence and her excellent command of English, she managed to make us feel at home and we are grateful for her help. The two young men were very helpful and polite. When our taxi was a little delayed, one immediately helped us to contact the driver and the other prepared out delicious omelette and greeted with a smile. Thank you all!

Just a little suggestion: fresh juice and perhaps a good cup of coffee… Nevertheless, we enjoyed our breakfast, which the staff always served with a smile. We ended up stay longer then just one day! Proof thst we loved the hotel 💜💜💜zes

Where do I start. First of all the Management and staff is very good, who go beyond your expectations and always more than happy to help. Shweta specially, who is just a call away and takes very good care of her guests. The property is just too gorgeous, it gives you the old charm feels of a beautiful Portuguese heritage mansion. Loved the location as it is close to all the main hangout spots in Fountainhas. There's a small plunge pool tucked away in the corner where you can relax and enjoy reading your book. We'll surely visit thia place next time. Highly recommend it to everyone.

Beautiful house in the center of Fontainhas, full of paintings, nice books and art. Feels like heaven in a hot day because it’s fresh, clean and quiet. Staff very helpful. After some hours you will feel that you are at home.

Could improve the breakfast and the hot water was not working at nighttime.

Everything was good, clean and maintained. Breakfast was good (limited in variety but that was okay for us). Decent and very humble staff.

Bed was very soft so not good for lower back(maybe they had a harder bed, we didn't bother asking) and they don't have a washing machine (it does say in suite description that they provide one with the suite room but we did not get it).
