Lovely cosy & extremely welcoming was the Porch House . Everyone was so friendly & efficient . Breakfast was very tasty , lovely vegetarian choice which we totally enjoyed . Dinner on our 1st night was extremely delicious & a very special touch , we were given a glass of fizz to celebrate our anniversary . We will most certainly be returning again . Such a lovely feel with the open fires lit & enjoying a gorgeous glass of red wine impeccable service throughout . Nothing was any trouble & all the staff we met were so friendly . Had such a super few days in the charming village of Stow . Our cosy bedroom had all you needed & gorgeous shower & lovely products to use too . Thank you for making our special break so lovely .

This hotel was not busy due to the time of the year. Food was excellent!

When I had already paid for the full accomodation on booking.com I found it odd they were asking for more money at check in. I then advise the booking had been made on booking.com and then the discussion for requesting more money went away. Some of the staff were very young, however they seem to lack training, knowledge of their systems and just eye for detail. If I have an empty glass on my table when eating then would you not ask if I would like a refill. To have to wait 20 mins. to catch the eye of the waiter to request another drink was just not needed considering how quiet this hotel was.

The pub itself is simply gorgeous with an elegant, traditional, and very cosy atmosphere. It is enchanting and feels like a little haven of peace and is homey. All the staff is excellent at what they do, and very friendly. Special mention to Nathalie who gave us valuable tips to explore the region and took the time to chat with us. Richard at the restaurant was super welcoming and attentive, and Mandy made us feel at home from the start with her radiant smile. We will definitely come back !!! Thank you for everything !!

We really loved our stay here. The cosy bedroom was gorgeous. Came with Nespresso coffee maker and home made cookies. The room was beautifully decorated and lovely comfy bed and nice bed linen. The en-suite was good too. The toiletries were very nice The facilities were lovely. We didn’t eat here as we had pre booked at clarksons pub. But the restaurant and menu looked incredible so when we visit again we will eat here We had drinks in the lobby, the snug and the bar. Drinks were reasonably priced and the bar man was excellent at making espresso martinis and bloody Mary’s We would definitely recommend

The shower water wasn’t that hot which was a bit disappointing as our shower at home isn’t hot either so I always look forward to getting a nice hot shower in a hotel

Lovely location, well positioned in the town. Clean room , cookies a nice touch. Lovely food in the restaurant, it was a pity a number of dishes weren't available but the food we did have was extremely pleasant, well cooked and beautifully presented.

Lack of hotel parking causes some frustration, but we were eventually able to move the car to one of 3 spaces at the rear of the hotel. Room 11 was particularly small. No room to hang towels in the bathroom. Inconsiderate hotel guests leaving the hotel at 5.45 am were particularly noisy outside the room but clearly this is not a criticism of the hotel.

Absolutely loved everything about this property. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The decor and history of the Inn were just what we were looking for. The location is perfect for exploring Stow-on-the-Wold and surrounding areas (burton on the water is only 10 mins away). The breakfast was lovely and delicious, also be sure to reserve a table for dinner-AMAZING! 10/10 recommend !!

It was unusually warm for October so it was quite hot at night even with the fan on and windows open. (although, I understand it’s a personal preference)

Quaint and comfortable place to stay in the heart of the Cotswolds. My husband and I were here for two nights on a week long anniversary trip to England. Great place to explore the Cotswolds and easy trip from Bath and day trip to Stratford upon Avon. The staff was lovely. Everything you would need is here. I highly recommend making reservations at the restaurant for an excellent dinner. There is a historical pub area with plenty of space to relax downstairs also. The breakfast is not to be missed. Highly recommend!

Amazing hotel, the rooms were exceptional, the food was amazing, and we'd highly recommend this 10th Century Inn to anyone travelling through the Cotwolds. Hannah ,who helped us check in and was also there for our breakfast and check out in the morning, was an absolute star....and was so helpful and friendly. We shall definitely be returning again soon.

The rooms were amazing, though the only thing which was a slight negative was the mattresses, which were very soft. Not the best night's sleep, but the decor was exceptional.

What can I say ... stow on the Wald is one of the nicest cute little towns I have ever seen and I have been travelling all over the world for 30 years Super British feeling nice little shops, sometimes pointless yet they fit the whole theme so beautifully The Porch is incredible. In Italy we certainly don't lack atmosfere but human nature always facinates you with something that is different form what you are accustomed to The wood beams, the thick broken wood on the floor, the humangous fireplace, the back garden, the whole old Brit feeling is unique

No power plugs in the back garden and no smoking allowed there Mirrors in the rooms must have been fitted for midgets as I could see my pelvis with them 🤣 But it is definitely worth squatting while shaving or blowdrying your hair, to enjoy all the rest

Great suite! Could be improved by more towels, 1 small 1 bath each, it would benefit a basket of towels esp. to use the lovely bath in the suite. But overall it was beautiful.

The staff in the restaurant could do with a little training! Very sloppy service but the food ( dinner) was good tho we’d have liked more home cooked & not so much bought in! I had a gin & was told there was only 2 gin glasses left so I got a plain glass , just needs attention to detail as it makes all the difference in hospitality! As its also up there in price! The upstairs bathroom was not mentioned in any promo - it didn’t matter to us as we are able but it should be in the details!
