If you're familiar with one Village hotel, you're familiar with most in my experience - there's always a very good standard - welcoming member of the team to help with the self-check in if you need it, a decent sized clean room with a comfortatble bed. There are also very good on-site facilities - gym/pool, bar/restaurant and a coffee shop - though Starbucks wouldn't be my preferred option. The team in the restaurant were all very nice and the food was good, including the breakfast included in the room rate. All in all, you can't go wrong for a short stay. This time, the Village was base for an event at Crnamore Park - extremely handy at less than a 5 minute drive away.

Not a complaint, more of an FYI, but there's some construction work going on, so there's a reduced amount of parking closer to the hotel. And the only thing I spotted in the bathroom was a bit of condensation mould on the ceiling, so it just looked a bit tired.

Lovely room easy parking. Bit daunting arriving at 10pm and checking on a screen / mum would have had trouble with that but a receptionist came over. Staff were friendly. Rubbish in lift remained there from 11pm to 1030am. Gym looked fab. Felt breakfast was catered for the 8-9am crowd only. Breakfast was cold and I had to ask for veggie sausages not offered but saw a sign. Good selection of bread - no real signage for any allergies etc. Staff were friendly. Arrived at 10pm - no food! 2 nice glasses of wine tho very late. Just travelled from Brighton. Live espa products in room but no shampoo/conditioner only body wash. Bed was lovely - turned aircon off and opened a window. Overall if we’d had time to use pool we would but here for a funeral service:(( ty. Nice stay.

Breakfast, checking in

The property has a vibrant and friendly feel to it. It is v modern and my mum had an accessible room which was v well set out and spacious. The most incredible part of the stay was the staff. They are so unbelievably helpful and warm and go the additional hundred miles to make the guests welcome and deal with all concerns/requests. In particular Gemma, Poppy and Paul were amazing and responsive to all our challenging requirements due to accessibility issues. Laney and Shannon in the restaurant were also v responsive and super helpful. Thank you to the incredible staff truly an exceptional team!

It does not have a phone in the room or some of the usual things you would expect in a hotel stay (like robes, slippers, toiletries etc.)

I don’t usually review but happy to do so as requested. The room was clean but could have been cleaner. Dust was visible in a few places. Light bulbs had blown which didn’t personally cause any issues however but it’s frustrating as this happens regularly in hotel rooms. The room was good value but visibly had nothing to look at through the window. If I was at the front of the hotel this would have been a better stay. The bed was very comfy and water pressure temperature of the shower was faultless. Bar service was efficient however not overly friendly, food and beverage options great.

Cosy atmosphere and rooms, friendly and attentive service, good parking, a Starbucks, and a friendly, well equipped and accessible gym. The bar service was good, we met friends with lots of kids there - all ordering food and everything came on time and tasty and staff were friendly. There’s lots of space in the bar, enough space for people to eat, kids to play, and groups to watch sports. Thank you for a good stay.

Minor things in rooms e.g., wooden slats missing and remote not working properly. Didn’t open blind as it meant all in car park could see in - so some net curtains or part frosting would have been good. All disabled parking spaces were used by able bodied people (with no blue badge) using the gym - avoiding a few extra metres walk before they get on a treadmill and lift weights! The hotel could perhaps put things in place to show they don’t endorse this mindset and value their disabled provision. With extra signage or issuing tickets perhaps.

Rooms and bathrooms were well designed with all necessary facilities.

The pub restaurant was very noisy due to live football so it felt like a sports bar. The occasion was a pre-Christmas family of 14 get together (ourselves travelling from Yorkshire). Unfortunately the serving of everyone’s food was disjointed and resulted in some getting their course when other guests had finished. Unfortunately one guest who had to wait for a long period is in fact a diabetic which was concerning at the time. The serving staff were doing their best but the kitchen staff was clearly the problem in the preparation/cooking of the food selections.

The greeting on arrival from Piyal amd Jake, the staff were phenomenal, Belle and John at the bar were awesome, they put in real effort to make my stay soo special. I love how engaging everyone was, yes, I am a very inquisitive person so did have a desire to get to know the staff and share with them a little about myself (that it was my Birthday) and I was made to feel like a Queen. I can't wait to stay again.

The condiments holders at breakfast were tired and dirty, a bit of occasional maintenance would prevent them having to be replaced. I spoke to David on Sunday morning about this and advised he could use aluminium foil scrunched and dipped in water to polish the metal. There were quite a few scuffs in the room on the corners of the woodwork and walls, that being said, it didn't take away from my hotel experience.

The whole stay was amazing the staff couldn't do enough..was just a bit disappointed with the cleanliness of the room the mirrors were dirty and the bath plug was rusty ..that may be me being ocd lol..but just them little touches and the place would be 10/10 but as far as the staff go couldn't ask for better on reception and in the bar..best service I've had in a hotel would definitely come back.

There was an issue with the disabled parking, but well done, the staff and security team have started putting barriers in the disabled spaces, preventing non blue badge holders from using them, hopefully these people will never have to use a disabled space but if they did , they may understand more, the reason not to park there without a blue badge.
