DEFINITELY STAY HERE if you’re visiting Looe. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived until the time that we left. Andrew and Stephanie were wonderful hosts.The property is located next to the river, 100 yards from the main thoroughfare that houses the shops, pubs and restaurants. The beach is only 500 yards away and the walk takes you through Looe’s many shops and bars. We stayed in a beautiful room overlooking the river; the room was clean and comfortable and included everything that we needed during our stay including a fridge. The bed was large and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was amazing with a number of options available including the full English, smoked salmon and kippers that were all presented beautifully and cooked perfectly. I would wholeheartedly recommend this property.

Andrew and Stephanie are excellent hosts . Great location just off Looe bridge with a two minute walk to town. Very comfortable and clean throughout. Great breakfast cooked fresh to order. We stayed in room 1 which had a great view over the estuary and a sitting area. Lots of little touches in the room - fridge for fresh milk, tot of rum, good toiletries etc. Allocated parking space in car park across the road for the duration of your stay. Be aware if you’re elderly or infirm due to its elevated position there is a steep incline and steps up to the property.

I had a wonderful stay at Dolphin Guest House in Looe. The food was absolutely delicious – Andrew (the host) is a fantastic cook and prepares breakfast with real care and love. The owners were very kind and welcoming, and the whole atmosphere made me feel at home. My room was comfortable, with a very cozy bed, and everything was perfectly clean. The location was excellent – just a few steps from the town center – and the view from my window was amazing. I truly enjoyed my time there and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Looe.

Stephanie & Andrew were amazing hosts from our arrival till we checked out. Nothing was too much trouble for them, a pot of tea on arrival and chat about our journey there and providing information of where to go during our stay. Each day a fresh bottle of milk provided in our fridge with the tea tray topped up with biscuits and other essentials.. Andrew’s breakfasts are out of this world and set us up for the day and again nothing was too much trouble to change if we didn’t like a particular ingredient. Plus they gave us a permit so we had free parking throughout our stay. It’s a shame we had to come home.

Owners very welcoming and genuine and their breakfasts are exceptional quality with locally sourced produce (bacon was 1/2 cm thick with virtually no fat-it was that good!) and variety of choice was excellent. Room and whole property was clean to a very high standard and the bed was REALLY comfortable (like Premier Inn comfortable) so I slept really well. Parking was included nearby with a permit and the whole town centre bustled with cobbled street corners with places to eat and drink plus the beach was a 5 min walk away. The only thing I'd add and this is no way a criticism would be the room was quite low ceilings due to being on upper floor and as I'm quite tall I had to duck a lot and the only other thing I'd have loved to have had in my room would be a bath. But other than that it really was a great stay and if you're visiting Looe, Cornwall I highly recommend it.

Fantastic welcome with a cup of tea/coffee on a tray in covered balcony for quests' use.. Lovely welcome by couple every morning. Food was excellent, beautiful bacon and lovely full quality breakfast(not fatty), quality fruit salad etc., coffee really nice blend.(and I'm fussy) Tables all had a fresh rose. l. Nothing too much trouble. Kingsize bedroom no. 4 on third floor in attic but fabulous views of tidal river and extended space. All exceptionally clean and plenty of sockets.. Rubbish emptied every day and fresh milk provided every day in little fridge. Attention to detail and nice touches.

Had plenty of traditional English character & charm. The hosts (Stephanie & Andrew) were very friendly, welcoming & professional. The breakfasts were delicious & well presented with great choices. The bed & pillows were comfy with good quality linen & towels. Great view from our window. Great views from the property’s common areas (dining, balcony & terraces). Close to train & buses. Mini bar fridge & kettle with tea, coffee, sugar & fresh milk in room. Good quality refillable hand soap, lotion & bodywash supplied.

The parking is very tight with metal bollards to navigate on either side - would be great if they could get replaced with the smaller type ones in the middle that fold down using a key? The room & bathroom was very compact, however the space was utilised effectively. We were on the top floor - so lots of stairs - but the view made the effort worth while.

Excellent location - about a minute’s walk to the shops, bars and restaurants and about five minutes walk to the pretty beach. Free parking. Nice view. The property was very clean, very tidy and very well presented. The en-suite bedroom looked brand new! It was cosy and bright. There were lots of lovely, complimentary touches - eg shower cap, sewing kit, shoe mitt, make-up remover, a wrapped chocolate, water and milk. Hot drink facility in room, ironing board and iron. Also a hairdryer and fridge. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty to choose from - full English, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, toast, fresh juices, tea and coffee. The local produce was exceptional quality! Stephanie and Andrew were fabulous hosts!

We stayed at Dolphin House for two nights in August 2024, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Located in East Looe, the B&B is ideally situated within easy walking distance of the town centre, making it the perfect base for exploring the area. One of the highlights of our stay was the lovely conservatory, where we could relax and watch the boats go by on the busy river estuary. It was a peaceful and scenic spot that really added to the charm of our stay. Andrew and Stephanie were perfect hosts, keeping in touch before our arrival and welcoming us with tea and coffee on the terrace, which was a lovely touch. Their hospitality made us feel right at home. The entire property was spotlessly clean, and the attention to detail was evident throughout. The choice and quality of breakfast were exceptional, with a wide variety of delicious options to start the day off right. We would not hesitate to stay at Dolphin House again if we ever visit Looe in the future. Highly recommended!

Breakfast delicious, lovely cooked breakfast plus yoghurt, fresh fruit, juice etc. The location was great. Close to bridge for access to beautiful walk along river into woods or over to West Looe. Lovely little sunny area to sit overlooking river. 10-15 min stroll to shops, pubs, cafes. Few more minutes to beach.

Air con in shower room bit chilly when showering. I plan to let lovely proprietors know.
