Josephine and her team were friendly, helpful and attentive. The breakfast was spot on with plenty of tea and coffee to wash it down. The beds were very comfy and the extras, such as USB sockets right next to the bed where you can charge your watch/phone etc. addded a big bonus for extra convenience. The bathroom was clean and tidy and all of the tea/coffee facilities in the room were topped up every day. The lift was also an added plus especially when moving lots of bags and cases on check-in and departure. We had a lovely stay visiting family and managed to get in some sightseeing too.

There isn't anything I can suggest. I suppose that's a good thing ?!

As a Guest House, it was a lovely staff. The staff were very friendly and professional. The breakfast options were varied and delicious. It was conveniently located, after arrival, for exploring the island by foot, tram or bus.

Regrettably my room didn't have a view but if you are lucky to get one, the views would be amazing! Just across the road from the bay. Note that this guest house is located approximately 1.25 miles from the ferry port. You need a bus or taxi to get there with luggage.

The location on the Promenade is great - a 25 minute walk from the ferry. Buses go up the Promenade about every 10 minutes. Unfortunately it was cold and raining the day I arrived, but the heat was on in my room and I had the option of a second heater if I wasn't warm enough. The room had one good-sized window, and the very clean bathroom had its own window. The sea view from the room was wonderful. The full english breakfast was excellent. The poached egg was perfectly cooked. Additionally there was fresh fuit, cereal, juice and yogurt. I also liked having an electric kettle in the room and a generous supply of tea bags and milk. The staff were friendly and responsive if you needed anything.

I had a double room and was surprised at how small it was and how little storage there was. However, it was more than adequate for one person. The public space of the hotel isn't that attractive. I was expecting it to be grander since, from the outside, it looks like a grand victorian house. However, I didn't mind about the public space since I liked my room with its neutral palette. The stairs to the first floor is narrow and steep but that is not an issue since there is a nice little elevator (lift).

The stay was during storm Eowyn, lots of cancellations going on but the comms from the hotel were top notch, a message to confirm I was still able to make it but late, confirmed, no issues. On arrival collected my key and headed to the room. Spacious, clean, warm - everything that was needed. Standard coffee supplies for the following morning, a bathroom that was functional with great water pressure and good hot water. Seriously no complaints. Free Wifi was fast and there were no drop outs.

Personally for me, it was spot on. But I can imagine that some people may have been put off by the renovation work going on - but it is off season to be fair and is the best time to do it - note there was not disturbance of sleep or anything like that.

The hotel is typical for the seaside location but it has been upgraded very significantly. The rooms are smallish, but well apointed and the en-suite is comfortable. The staff is young and very pleasant, and happy to go beyond the expected. The breakfast is generous, but could be a bit more adventurous. Everything is freshly cooked though. The computer room / guests' lounge is useful. The view from the breakfast onto the promenade and the horse tram is lovely.

It was immaculately clean and the sea view family room was lovely, great views. The lady on the desk waited for us to check in after 5 and made me and my little boy feel welcome. They kept our bags the day of checkout as well with no issue.

There are a lot of steps into the hotel which wasn’t great with my buggy, but all the hotels on the front are like this, and there was a lift inside. I have heard some people say it seems dated but I was really impressed, this is the style of all hotels on the promenade and like I said it was so clean and tidy it was a really nice stay :)

The staff were very friendly helpful and efficient. The breakfast was enjoyable. My room was quiet. The shower was good. My bed was comfortable. The TV was of good quality. The lift was a great bonus in this type of building. I could walk to Derby Castle railway station in about 10 minutes or get the bus or horse tram.

I would have preferred breakfast hours from 0730 until 0900 instead of 0800 until 0900. I would prefer better quality bread with the breakfast.

the hotel located by the seafront has very beautiful Seaview. the bed and blanket is super comfortable. Horse Tram and Electronic Railway terminal just 5 minutes by walk. best thing is they has lift in a Victoria time building, that is unusual. owner is very helpful and so polite. make me feel like I am at friend's house for stay. they served breakfast and my sunny shiny eggs are the best in my journey 😋. I will definitely introduce to my friends and family to stay in here.

I can't think anything I didn't like. well, when close door it would be noisy, even I want to keep quiet but it must force to knock tight.

The property overlooks the sea, yet there's often parking right outside the entrance on Queen's Promenade for those exploring the island by car. Douglas's lively center is within walking distance, and there are local mini-markets and restaurants nearby. The room was incredibly comfortable and quiet as requested. The breakfast was excellent, prepared fresh to order. The hosts were very friendly. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely return if I'm lucky enough to visit the Isle of Man again.

The decor was a bit dated and could benefit from some refurbishment. While the cleanliness was acceptable, it could have been better. The reception area was occasionally unmanned, and the receptionist seemed a little rushed. The breakfast time was limited to one hour.

Lovely staff, very polite. Our room was lovely itwas a spacious room with nice roomy bathroom. Good tea and coffee. Nice walk into town along the prom. Breakfast was good and served with a smile from the lovely staff

Room on 3rd floor after having conformation of low floor booking. Lift was great although was out of action for a couple of hours on two days. Stairs difficult for RA sufferer. Didn't spoil my stay though.
