really loved the location, it was perfect for me. It’s a quiet little street, I even slept with the window open! At the same time, it’s just about 3-5min walking from the main area, with lots of nice spots around to eat, have coffee, or work remotely. I booked a single room, but the host upgraded it to a double room, many thanks for this! compared to places I’ve stayed in Korea, the size felt totally fine. Commutation with the staff was relaxed, they are very responsive.

The cleanliness could have been a bit better, though I’m not too picky about that. All the cups, forks, spoons etc were disposable, would be so much nicer (and more eco-friendly!) to have regular kitchenware people can use and wash themselves.

I had a great and easy stay at Hwon Guesthouse. The location is excellent — close to the Metro, about a 15-minute walk to the lively Hongdae area, and surrounded by restaurants and markets, yet the neighborhood itself is quiet and residential. The guesthouse was clean and well organized, with hot and cold water available to refill bottles. There’s also a self-service area stocked with essentials like shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, and more.

The room I stayed in was quite small, so I’d only recommend it for one person. Of course, this is solely based on my selected room.

It's very basic accomodation but as expected for the money and totally fine. Decent room (I was surprised that in had a TV with netflix on), easy self check-in/check-out, felt very safe, and great location - just a couple minutes walk from main area in Hongdae but was off a quiet road so outside noise was very minimal.

The walls are seriously thin and there were people making quite a bit of noise late at night and I could hear their TV throughout the night. The bathroom was fairly run down (sink wasn't properly attached to the wall), but passable for a few nights of cheap accom.

More of a cozy little nest just to shower and sleep. That said, it comes with everything you might need: a water dispenser in the common area, AC, bath amenities, a hair dryer, and even small welcome snacks!

Gotta say this price is truly a steal for such a hip and nice area, but of course you get what you pay for - I wouldn't recommend it if you’re looking to relax and unwind, but it’s perfect for solo travelers like myself who just need a clean and convenient place to rest.

It was easy and efficient to check in and out. The staff were fast to respond to my messages. It has kitchen with all the essential items. The bathroom was really tiny but works greatly. Location is great- about 10-15 minutes walking distance to the Hongik University station.

The bed is not comfy. They put a plastic layer right under the sheet and it was painful to sleep on it. Two pillows is needed for a comfortable sleeping!

It was easy to do self check in, and the staff happened to be around when I arrived and she kindly helped me carry my luggage to my room on the 3rd floor. The room was clean and the second floor common area provided drinking water. There were also towels, toilet paper etc. and it was easy to top up on those when needed as they were kept in an open shelf on the 2nd floor.

The bathroom was rather cramped which made showering a bit difficult. The other things are more personal preferences but the bed was softer than I would like and the location being a 15-20 min walk from Hongik University Station got a bit tiring towards the end of my trip.

The location was about a 10-minute walk from the nearest subway station. There are quite a few food stalls along the way to the subway so it could be something nice to see. Self-check-in was simple using a tablet. Convenience stores are nearby. I had a slight issue with my lock and a staff was around who helped me immediately.

The walls are pretty thin so you can hear noises from the corridor quite clearly. Also, there isn't an elevator, so ensure that you can carry your luggage up the stairs. Apart from these, there isn't much I can complain about for the price.

Beds were super comfy and the room was very clean! Nicely decorated. I enjoyed the location, especially as someone who walks and takes public transportation during their visits. I would stay here again.

I stayed in a single room near Hongdae and really enjoyed my stay. The room was small, but it had everything I needed and was very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect. The self-check-in process was easy, and the staff were friendly and responsive. Overall, even though the room was compact, I had a great experience and would definitely give it a full score!

I liked the privacy for the price offered (2 weeks for ~$970), the location was great, and the staff were super friendly and hospitable. Everything is in walking distance and pretty cheap.

The water in the bathroom would sometimes settle near the toilet, so it would be handy to have a wiper. The staff were very accomodating in providing it when I asked, and very gracious in accepting it as feedback for future guests.
