Great place not far from the motorway, stayed there just for 1 night as an interim stop. There is free parking and a restaurant with good choice of meals, as well as various drinks. The meal was great as well as the beer and coffee. Staff very friendly. The room was clean, the bed comfy and bathroom of good size. The only downside to an extent was the sloppy ceiling as it was on the second floor, and this caused some discomfort. I would recommend the place for few nights or just to stop and have a meal and drink.

We were looking for something close to a Michelin star restaurant, that we wanted to visit. And this was a good option for it. Had a beautiful run in the morning in this countryside. Breakfast was simple, but ok.

The person handling the hotel seemed very stressed at all times. Coffee quality for breakfast wasn’t great

We arrived late in the night, and still they well explained us by email how to enter and let us the key in the reception. This it was very appreciated! Equally, we have found a nice and clean room. The hotel is well placed on a quiet zone, specially if you are like us travelling thru Europe and need to have a good night sleep. Leaving the hotel, they offered a nice souvenir , a bag of natural herbs tea :)

Maybe the breakfast could be improved on quality and variety

The location was good, it was really peaceful, the guesthouse is nice and cozy.

The bed was not the best, but it was okay. We’d needed a double bed, but 2 single one was put together, it was a bit inconvenient. We missed vegetables from the breakfast table.

Clean comfy room and bed. Hot shower. Restautant food was delicious, and breakfast was a nice selection of meats, cheese, bread, fruit, pastry, juice and coffee, and you can ask for eggs.

Slanted roof above bed, no coffee or tea available in the room or lobby.

Location of the guesthouse is wonderful. The hotel is nice and in a remote area, very peaceful. It is very clean. It was the second time we stayed here.

The restaurant of the hotel was closed and there was no notice about this. As the hotel is in a remote area is not easy to find food, especially if you arrive late.

Good location, all major tourist attractions within easy reach by car, yet close to nature in a peaceful environment. Staff are helpful and friendly, rooms are well equipped and clean, breakfast is varied and plentiful.

I did like the building - it seems to have been some sort of a house of a nobleman long time ago. Service was very good. Food was very good.

The AC was blowind straight over the bed. There were a lot of mosquitos outside , and no mosquito nets on the window, so we had to keep the windows closed. The AC was also noisy

Very nice and cozy hotel in a quiet area, yet very close to Ljubljana and the highway. It is on an estate, in a park like setting with ample parking. Very clean and comfortable room. Good breakfast. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was great.

We had an amazing stay at the guesthouse Bistra. Very clean, spacious and nicely decorated property. The restaurant downstairs was just perfect! Food quality is 5 stars ! Very good menu and food was better than fine dining restaurant we tried in The city. Breakfast very generous and super tasty, seems products are very local and fresh. The staff is great! Specially Miki! He was an amazing, super professional and very informative about everything we have asked. Definitely we will come back to stay at this property.
