A beautifully restored Victoria home with lovely floral gardens

The decor was overly “cute”. An abundance of cute little signs for our tastes—the authentic decor spoke for itself. Also, there was too much “aroma therapy” for us. Everything was perfumed with sweet smelling air fresheners that were a little overboard. The place smelled just fine and all the scents were unnecessary. We really didn’t use any of the common areas other than the porch. That said, Gretchen and were lovely, friendly hosts.

Gretchen and Keith are excellent hosts. We felt welcome even before we walked through the door of their lovely home. Very historic home, restored beautifully. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Keith was a former chef and his breakfast was amazing! Keith knows the area very well and gave us suggestions for 2 outstanding hikes that would fit into our short stay. By checkout, we felt like we were saying goodbye to old friends. Plan to return to the area in the future and stay at Perkins House again.

Wish we had more time to stay and enjoy the B&B and explore the town of Cornish

Staying in the Carriage House was a wonderful experience. The room was beautifully appointed and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious, with thoughtful touches that made it feel special. Our hosts were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.

We travel the world and found this to be the cleanest and most comfortable spot we've visited. The home was decorated beautifully, the breakfast was delicious and the town so quaint. Loved the porch swing and the gardens. Amazing quality for the money in today's economy

It was perfekt

Loved the charming hospitality at this beautifully appointed New England house offered. Keith and Gretchen are awesome hosts who were lovely to talk to about their journey to getting this property ready for quests. We highly recommend the Perkins House for a relaxing stay.

Everything was amazing the hosts went above and beyond. Breakfast was fantastic - something different every morning. The rooms were huge and the beds very very comfortable. The whole house was spotless clean with plenty of towels and linens for our stay.

I didn't mind the shared bathroom but it is always nice to have a bathroom to yourself. BUT - this was not a drawback to our stay.

Lovely home with great curb appeal. Hosts were wonderful, including Dolce, the pomeranian! The home is amazing and decorated beautifully. Rooms were well sized and so comfortable. The bath was very nice as well. Breakfast was delicious herbed sausage biscuits and honeydew with lots of juice, coffee and teas available. Would stay here again and again if able!

Loved it all

The couple who owns the property and host you while you’re there is warm and gracious. The rooms are nice and it is well decorated and cute. You get an overall good feeling being there.

Nothing

The location of the Perkins House is perfect for exploring both the White Mountains to the west and the coast of Maine to the east- both are about an hour away. We had easy access to unlimited amazing hiking trails as well as making a quick trip to the coast. Our room was super comfortable, and Keith is a kind and helpful host. Breakfast was great and the house is lovely.

We were there during the week and found that many stores and restaurants are closed on Monday and/or Tuesdays. Do your research ahead of time to avoid frustration.
