We stayed here on St David’s Day for a birthday treat. A lovely touch was the card and gift in our room on arrival. (Thank you ) Roch Castle is a stunning property perched on top of a giant rock! The approach to the castle through electric gates sets the scene for arrival. The castle has been tastefully renovated to the highest standard internally. I loved the exposed rock inside the foyer area. The temperature inside the castle was very comfortable, as were the bed and the en-suite bathroom. It has all the benefits of a modern property encased in a historic castle. The outlook from the lounge room was amazing. We stayed in March and had exceptional weather, so the view across the Pembrokeshire coast as the sun set was just gorgeous. This was a lovely room with a veranda to give views across the bay as well as the countryside beyond. The staff were all very attentive , particularly the breakfast team. The breakfast was absolutely delcious. Something to suit everyone; pastries to start, cereal, fruit salad, full Welsh breakfast including black pudding, juices, tea,coffee….. a great way to set us up for our coastal walk. From the Castle we visited St David’s, Solva and Whitesands. A great base to head out from. An extensive selection of pubs and eateries whichever fire til. You head, but most of them a drive away with the exception of the Victoria Inn which was a 10 minutes walk away. Overall a 10/10 stay, such a shame it was only for one night! What a wonderful place! Our stay was perfect from start to finish. Our room was just beautiful. The whole castle is tastefully decorated to a high standard. The art work around the castle is an absolute delight to see. The lounge area is brilliant, well stocked with an excellent range of wines and spirits to purchase. There are board games, books galore. Such a pleasant area to sit and the views are just stunning. The staff are amazing, so helpful and really make you feel welcome. I would highly recommend Roch castle to family and friends ,we will definitely be back. Thank you for such a super stay!!

Our room was cozy but comfortable our bed was so delicious! The bathroom was huge with a massive bathtub and separate big shower with large fluffy towels bathrobes and slippers. Breakfast was excellent. The quality of the food and the service was very friendly. We felt well taken care of. The location of the castle was central to where we wanted to be. We loved everything about the Castle and it will be a highlight of our trip.

Our only complaint was that we didn’t stay long enough. We hated to leave.

Such a stunning hotel to stay in both inside and out beautifully decorated and has a fantastic view from all angles Wished the hotel would do an evening dining their breakfast was fantastic even with limited options cooked wise we would have been happy to dine there in the evening too. We went for our honey moon and was treated to a lovely tour of the whole property and our room was beautifully decorated to our surprise can’t wait to come back next year for our honeymoon

Not a lot within the area to do but most things were within half hour drive to an hour depending on the activity so wasn’t a massive problem.

It was a castle! What’s not to like? A rare opportunity in a v unique form of accommodation to imagine life in medieval times, look over most spectacular Pembrokeshire countryside to the coast, and get fit on stone stairs 😀 super attentive staff and lovely breakfast. Great bed. Great shared lounge/study/snugs for relaxing (and midnight meetings online). Loved the honour bar and refreshment corner. Only 6 rooms so we lucked in … stayed in the Lucy Walter’s room … look her up. She seems to have been very popular with 2 King Charles’.

Perhaps a bit of interior retouch in bedrooms and bathrooms. Quite heavy and dark.

What a truly fantastic place to stay! It’s been developed to an incredibly high standard whilst maintaining all the character of the building. It was such a novelty to have the run of the whole place when the staff had gone home, there were so many nooks and cranny’s to explore. We have nothing but positive things to stay - it’s clean and so comfortable and all the staff we encountered were polite, cheerful and a delight to talk to!

Historical and quirky, and the modern rooms and decor are carefully designed to enhance the experience. Honesty Bar and Lounge area is great with spectacular views on a clear day Staff are extremely personable, breakfast is first rate

The property has challenges for people with luggage/suitcases, there (understandably) wasn’t an elevator The lighting on the stairs up to entrance was not working after we returned from a meal out in the dark, and created some jeopardy for my elderly parents - a few sensors/batteries and this should be an easy fix however. There is no /restaurant and the choice is limited (even with car and taxi) due to rugged, rural location

Incredibly unique and luxurious stay in a fully renovated 13th century castle; we opted for a larger room with a bathtub and it was an excellent choice; the views were stunning and we had a very comfortable stay; the service from the staff was so friendly and attentive; breakfast was absolutely delicious, as was dinner at Blas restaurant, which was an excellent recommendation from the staff; the beach is very close, as is St Davids, which is well worth a visit.

The only think we didn't like was that we didn't stay longer... ;-)

The Castle was an amazing place to stay, oozing with character and with fabulous views from the ramparts. The staff were extremely friendly and could not do enough for us to make our stay extra special. The breakfasts were incredibly full of flavour, and there was a super variety of choices on offer. All in all, a fabulous week. We look forward to our next visit! :-)

The option to eat dinner at the castle would have been ideal.

Probably the best hotel I’ve yet stayed in. the building itself is exquisite being a fantastic mix of original Medieval features and stylish modern decor and furnishing. From beginning to end the experience was first class; the staff always friendly and attentive , the room superbly equipped and very comfortable while breakfast was super. The views from the sun room were to die for and the grounds lovely. Just a wonderful place to relax and recuperate.
