Great location. Our rooms were quiet and clean. The room was also very spacious. While the view from the balcony wasn’t great I enjoyed sitting outside watching people below. The pool wasn’t amazing but it was a pool that was appreciated in the heat.

Check in was a bit if a disaster. For some reason the payment machine would not accept any of our credit / debit cards that had worked perfectly all over Laos. We agreed to pay later. This was resolved within 5 minutes the next morning by a different staff member. Then our key card wouldn’t work and it took about 20 minutes sorting out how to access our room. The breakfast was only ok according to my kids.

The location, value, and breakfast were spectacular!

The only issue I had was we had teeny ants in one corner of our room.

Staff very helpful and were able to book fast train to Louang Phrabang for us at check in . Housekeeping had room cleaned while we were at breakfast every morning . Pool was refreshing and towels provided . Breakfast was ok . 1 large and 2 medium water bottles provided very day . Location / Closeness to Night Market and attractions . Value for money .

A bit run down . Air conditioning was either not able to cope with heat or was broken but it never got cold . Room was not real clean . Bathroom had a string of dust hanging from vent .

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with organizing tours, taxi, etc. The location is perfect, very central and just around the corner of the Night Food Market.

The bethroom could be renovated and the water barely warmed up in our room. But given the temperatures outside, it was refreshing

Location was really good- just next door night food market. All bars and restaurants including sky bar walking distance from property. It’s in an alley that’s next to everything but remains quiet so it’s both safe and convenient Staff was tentative and good breakfast

Water in swimming pool was very cold Water in bathroom was a bit difficult to balance- during a single shower I needed to play with cold and hot water several times to keep same temperature

The location was great. The pool was super. Room was functional. Reception staff most helpful.

I’d read the reviews about the breakfast and decided to ignore them. Unfortunately the selection isn’t great and it would be easy to fix it with a choice of fruit, yogurt and freshly cooked eggs. Apart from that the hotel is in a great position.

Great location, old school Laos vibe decor, big pool for location, nice soup for breakfast. Staff were helpful organizing train tickets etc. Delicious fruit shakes around the corner at Noi’s fruit Heaven.

The pool could have been a bit cleaner and the pool area a bit more inviting

The hotel decor was really cool, especially the downstairs breakfast area. The included breakfast was excellent every day! The staff was attentive, and always kind/smiling! The manager agreed to us checking out a bit late on our last of 7 nights because our flight didn't leave until late. We were able to walk to many, many places from our hotel easily. It was 107F some days we were there, and the AC in our hotel still worked fine. Really liked this place a lot - great value for the money, for sure, and a place we'd stay again in a heartbeat!

Our room had a nice little patio balcony, but it overlooked a burned out building and it was hotter than the flames of hell, so we didn't really want to use it anyway. The pool closed at 9pm, and I really wanted to go for a dip at 10pm, when it was a reasonable temperature outside! Not the hotels fault, but the front of the hotel has street power lines hanging thickly in front of it - the hotel would look great from the street if not for that! All super minor things, for sure...

Large, varied, healthy, and delicious buffet breakfasts. The hotel's location is in the historic/tourist district; 5-star location. Walking distance to multiple markets, restaurants, and river views. Staff knowledgeable and helpful. Small, useful weight room.

Comfortable colonial hotel with authentic wood furnishings and trim. Location was close to markets,restaurants and short drive to airport.

Breakfast was disappointing due to lack of a few key items, from a western perspective, like palatable coffee, yoghurt and fresh fruit. The small plate of a singular fresh fruit per day was in stark contrast to competitive hotel offerings in Laos. You could not count on pool towels being available.
