We loved everything about this beautiful hotel. The boat taxis were a lovely way to travel to and from universal parks. The hotel was absolutely beautiful. Rooms were so spacious and beds were so comfortable. Staff couldn't do enough for us. They were amazing. The hotel had a very relaxing, calm feel about it. The unlimited express passes were an added bonus. We would love to visit again.

We loved everything about the hotel. The only thing we didn't like was that they didn't sell regular bottles of water in the hotel. We had no choice but to purchase the expensive ones.

The room is great. It looks like Portofino. Room was large and spacious. Staff was friendly. Check in expereince was great. Very good hotel

First let me say, The Hotel was great! The hotel offers express passes for Universal Studios for the duration of the stay. These express passes do not scan on Universal rides. It errors out. As a result, the staff keeps checking and rechecking your tickets. And this was very annoying. But this has to do with Universals pathetic systems. The hotel was great.

Our room was very far away from everything, they were doing some building work and had scaffolding up outside the window and they could do with some additional charge points in the rooms for usb/usb-c connectors

I loved how the express passes for the parks were included with our stay. It really made a huge difference for us while at the parks.

The hotel is very expensive to stay at, and everything else while there is expensive. For example, they leave water bottles in your room that are about 8 dollars if you use them. Just like any other hotel they take advantage of the convenience. You pay for the ambience it seems and thats about it. The only thing complementary are the pool towels.

Perfect location for the parks. Beautiful setting. Clean and classy.

We booked a room for 5 people (3 adults and 2 children) but had to ask for a foldaway bed to be brought in and made up. We also had to pay an additional fee. We would have preferred to organise this at the time of booking. Staff were very helpful so it was not a problem but would not have caused alarm and concern.

The room was super spacious, we had a balcony on the bay and we were thrilled! The proximity to the water taxi and to the main pool was perfect. We could easily make it back for a swim and a soak in the hot tub after a long day in the parks. We loved the opera performances and the staff were always very friendly! When we arrived we had our luggage sent to bell services as we didn't know if our room would be ready so early and we were delighted to find that it was, the bellman who brought our luggage to our room was super helpful showing us around the hotel (thanks again Hunter!) Most people comment on the long line at Starbucks but when you compare it to the Starbucks in the Mouses' park, it's actually quite short. We never felt crowded at the hotel (and we were there during the Halloween Horror Nights events) The Universal Unlimited Express Pass and Early Entry features were an absolute must for us to be able to accomplish our goal to "Ride EVERY ride in the parks". We will absolutely be back!

Our coffee machine didn't work so we were a little surprised at that. It's a very high end hotel for the cosmetic damage we saw, this poor fellow was patching up the drywall that keeps getting destroyed by the housekeeping carts. The laundry room was a little dirty so it was inconvenient for folding laundry as I didn't want to put my clean clothes on the dirty surfaces.

Great location. Boats to Universal were every 10 minutes only taking 10 minutes to the parks. Unlimited Express pass being included with the room was a real benefit.

No issues. There was some construction work to the exterior of the hotel but it was limited to day time only and did not impact our stay at all.

Room wasn’t the cleanest- we did call to front desk to let them know one of the bathrooms wasn’t changed over - open soap etc .. they did correct this however - also called in advance about an emergency package being delivered during our stay unfortunately it didn’t arrive - when it did my husband went to collect it - they charged him 10 fee to “process it” my husband asked me about it no one told us anything about this- it was our daughters wallet she couldn’t travel without her picture id!

It's expensive to go to Universal studios and stay at the portofino Bay hotel, but at least the hotel covers the price of the express pass at the park which makes it the same cost as one of the lesser priced Universal hotels. Staying at the hotel is like a visit to Paradise. It's beautiful and the boat ride to the Universal Park entrance is phenomenal. The staff here is fantastic and being from a big city it was an unexpected pleasure to find good Italian food right on the grounds of the hotel. Special note to the gentleman who organizes the valet and parking in front of the hotel. This man takes pride in his work and he is extremely friendly and efficient.

There was nothing not to like. Sure the price is exorbitant for a hotel stay in Florida, but it does cover those Express passes for your entire visit and for each member of your family.

I think the price of our stay was expensive considering all the works being carried out in the hotel and I think we could have paid less to reflect that.
