Right in the heart of Carihuela. Spotlessly clean and you can tell there is a real love for this hotel from the owners, they absolutely take pride in it. It’s basic but there was plenty of room for us in there. The beds were spotless and comfortable. Plenty of wardrobe space and plenty of hangers. The staff were all lovely, helpful and welcoming. Aircon can also be used for heat and works perfectly and fast. There is a tv but I didn’t even switch that on. There is no balcony but large glass doors that can be slid open. No pool but it’s a minute from the beach. I’d have no hesitation in going back there.

The towels just didn’t dry in the bathroom but that could have been in relation to the March bad wet weather. The walls are very thin, our friends were in the next room and we could easily speak to them through the wall lol

It wasn't clear at the time of booking regarding the dining status, I was not ready for not having at least one meal included in the hotel. it was very uncomfortable not even having a mini refrigerator in the room. Although the staff kept our food and beverages in their own kitchen it was more comfortable not to bother them every time we want cold water or to snack something from our personal food... BUT the staff were amazing though!!! even the cleaning ladies were awesome. the location is excellent.

Location fantastic, The staff are are extremely pleasant and helpful with any queries. The rooms are basic but clean and there is a bar that serves drinks all day long and open until 2am for a late nightcap! Instant access to the beachfront shops, restaurants and bars once you step out the door.

It is a pretty authentic building so as you would imagine its void void of modern soundproofing. For those that may be irked by the shuffle of midnight feet through the corridors this may be an issue. I think it is total value for money and I would definitely stay again.

Great location, yards from the beach and promenade and at the end of the busy pedestrianised shopping/eating street of lovely La Carehuela. Short walk to bus stops to Malaga, central Torremolinos. Benalmadena Costa, Mijas, Fuengerola and Marbella. Great shower, beds ok, and all very clean and well maintained. Without exception staff are well presented and friendly. Beautiful traditional tiles in communal areas, a handy shared drying space. There's a limited breakfast choice but it's prepared to order, lovely crunchy toasted roll with a choice of accompaniments and freshly squeezed orange juice.

Can be noisy as the hotel's outdoor bar seating is open until 2, and some nights there were noisy groups passing in the early hours, plus there can be early morning noise from beer deliveries and street cleaning. I would say out of 9 nights we were disturbed by noise on 3 nights. Some confusion over cost of breakfast, information in the room says it's 4 euro per person per day, but actually this is very out of date, residents pay the menu price so about 7 euro per person per day. As the street is pedestrianised make sure the taxi drops you at the nearby rank in C. Arenas, ours dropped us much further away in Cjon. de Ramos.

The hotel is located a very short stroll from the beach, local restaurants and shopping making it an excellent location for travellers who want to be right in the heart of La Carihuela. The rooms are spotless, the beds are comfortable and the staff work exceptionally hard to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. We enjoyed drinks alfresco in the hotel bar and were able to watch the world go by.

Given the location and the fact the hotel bar is a central meeting point it can be noisy at times if you are an early bedder occupying a sea view room. I had read the walls were thin and did experience some noise from the room next door (not the hotel’s fault) so I would recommend packing ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

Loved the charm and friendliness of the hotel had a little mishap on arrival nothing to do with the hotel and the gentleman on reception helped me sort it and I was forever grateful. Excellent location I wouldn't hesitate to stay again owners and staff should be proud of this little gem of a hotel. Location is excellent near the beach lots of restaurants and bars close by and not forgetting the lovely hotel bar. Ok

A hairdryer in the bathroom would have been nice and a fridge or cooler maybe useful but didn't spoil the enjoyment of this wonderful place

The location was perfect. The accommodation was excellent value for money. Beds were very comfortable. WiFi excellent. Alvaro welcomed us being more than helpful. Parking on a secure car park behind the hotel was just €4 for 24 hours. Breakfast was typically Spanish and good. Especially the fresh orange juice and tostada con tomate We will return

Perfect location with both sea views amongst lanes of village type shops, cafes and restaurants. Unlike other areas along the coast no one hotel dominates here. Clean. Comfortable bed. Black out curtains are the best.

Noise from neighbouring room’s TV was so loud through the wall I couldn’t even have a conversation (on the phone) in my room let alone sleep- so loud every day that it was able to be heard in the stairwell in the middle of the hotel, equivalent of 3 rooms away. My sleep hours were therefore determined by other guests. Doors were similarly without sound dampening that movements in corridor disturbed me.

We had a lovely stay! The staff is very nice and accomidating! We felt very at home. The breakfast menu was perfect for us! The beach is a few steps away! There is a great selection of nice restaurants in walking distance. I would recommend to walk along the boardwalk to the hotel. Google maps sends you through town and I didn't like that route. Walking along the boardwalk is a bit longer but a much nicer walk!! We really enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for a quick trip to the beach and we hope to stay here again soon!

I can see where there could be a sound issues but this is with any hotel. You are staying in a space with other people and you need to be respectful.

Location is fantastic, spotlessly clean throughout, beautiful tiling on stairs and corridors. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Heating in bedroom was very effective, extra blankets provided upon request. Hot water supply was instant and plentiful.

Noise, from corridor, in the bedroom was very intrusive. Perhaps some insulation around the door would help.
