Great place. An expansive 4 star resort perched right on a quiet beach, hidden away at the top of the island. Huge pool, 50m+ length, good smorgasbord breakfast, with a couple of shops and motorbike rentals directly outside reception. We had room 3202, level 1, large and a great balcony with views of the sea and Koh Nam (a tiny island you can walk to via a thin strip of sand). The staff were very polite and accommodating. We spent 5 days there: it’s easy to spend your entire stay at the resort - explore Koh Nam, and the little cafe/bar right beside the sand strip to Koh Nam, around 50m from the resort itself. Fabulous beaches, although the locals aren’t too worried about collecting rubbish washed up on otherwise pristine beaches. Also a great waterfall, Wang Sai, a 10 min stroll from the hotel reception: easy to get to (just wear trainers).

Internet was hit and miss, but I think this is Thailand, not really the fault of the hotel.

Pool next to my room was never clean which meant i needed to go to the far away pool Staff were rude, aggressive and hotel policy is so strict which didn’t make the stay super comfortable

The swimming pools are great, the restaurant is perfect. I had a few dishes, the food is really good. The staff at the restaurant is SO nice! I have to mention Nana with her good English and amazing hospitality. If you walk up to Koh Ma and go in the water on your left, there's a snorkel paradise. But you have to swim at least 30 meters from shore. It won't disappoint! There's Murenes, Stingrays and thousands of other fishes. The corals are very big and most of all very alive!

My room was in the back, facing the second pool. There was no short cut to the beach. There were a lot of big red ants covering my balcony but the staff was very quick and made them go away (spraycan)

The section of the resort we stayed in looked quite new and the finishes in the rooms were quite modern. The room itself was a reasonable size and comfortable. The pool located in this newer section was great and it was nice to just walk down and relax next to the pool.

We were not aware that the rooms we were going to stay in were located on the 3rd floor with no elevators in place it was a lot of stairs everyday. The section we we placed in is quite far from the breakfast area and the beach so we certainly did a lot of walking.

Staff was kind. The pools were great. The breakfast was really nice. The beach is a short walk from the property and is nice for a good view but less so for swimming.

The rooms have a shower that is positioned so that almost wherever you are in the room you can see the person using it, and the door is see through. If you are in a room with your child or if your two older children are sharing a room together it obliges one to step out as to not see the other in the shower. It's an architectural mistake that could be fixed by making the shower door non see through. Also the gym room is in need of improvement with better equipment.

We loved the location, the layout of the resort with it's two pools. We loved the gifts we received for Christmas and new year on our made up beds. Beds were comfortable and room was aesthetic. The included breakfast was varied and ample. Spectacular view of koh mae from the restaurant. A very pleasurable 10 days. We would definitely come back.

No water pressure in the shower and the water temperature varies between hot and cold. Restaurant is terrible and overpriced. They do not have s clue about cooking. Thankfully there are various restaurants in the vicinity. They did have a decent wine. The soundproofing isn't great. We were lucky to have quite neighbours until the final night when we realized this.

- The breakfast offered a wide selection of fresh and varied options, catering to every taste. - The resort grounds were beautifully designed, well-maintained, and surrounded by lush tropical nature. - Everything was impeccably clean, from the rooms to the common areas. - The staff was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. - The rooms were spacious, stylish, modern, and very clean. - The location was peaceful, making it perfect for relaxation while still being easily accessible. - The two pools were always clean, never crowded, and had plenty of available loungers. This was one of the most beautiful resorts on our trip, and we would return anytime.

Everything was just perfect for the price what we have paid. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable, everything what you need out there. Breakfast was also good enough, with plenty of variety you can have for breakfast and lots of vegetables and fruits which is not that often option in other hotels. Location was also good and quiet enough, for us it was very good one, as we can easily access Mae Had beach which is few minutes walk from hotel. Staff is very friendly as well. Only good words goes for this hotel!

Maybe the second pool area, not the main pool could be improved.

All the facilities were really great. Nice and secluded.

Would be great to have beach towels by the pool so you could get a new one when you needed. Not enough space in the rooms to dry them. Also the room was quite a walk away from the restaurant.

The room was quite big and very comfortable. Pool was huge and clean. The beach was very beautiful and just a few minutes away from the room. Breakfast was very good and staff very friendly.

I didn’t like that at check out I was accused that I have taken slippers from room. I told them that I walked with them to the beach, they got wet, and threw them out, coming to the room barefoot. Then I used another pair I had in the room. Those were fabric slippers that I always deposit in a trash bin after I use them in every hotel. In this hotel they are considered a value and I was forced to pay 200 baht. Well, this just did it… never again in Maehaad beach hotel! Oh, zillions of mosquitoes, so buy sprays and plug ins as the hotel doesn’t provide with any. Pool view rooms most of the day are in direct sunlight, so you have to stay indoors
