The hotel is family run, and the owners are very friendly. They gave us all kinds of recommendations when visiting Seward. The room we got ('suite') was very spacious. It was great for 3 people. The shower has good water pressure and temperature. The beds are comfortable. Parking is plentiful. Owners offered to watch our luggage while we went on a glacier cruise.

The internet didn't work in the rooms at all, but it works a bit in the lobby. We would prefer better light-blocking curtains, especially for the long daylight hours during the summertime. The hotel is several miles outside the town, so you will need a car to visit everything. (more of a heads up, vs. a dislike)

Hotel management was very welcoming, personable, and helpful. He was quick to offer suggestions for excursions, and even had some for us in Homer, our next stop. The lodge location is ideal. It’s close to the glacier, the sled dog tours, town with restaurants, shops and bars, as well as the port for boat excursions. Also, right next door is a restaurant and the food was delicious. After taking the long drive from Denali in, it was welcome news to hear we could dine without getting back in the car again.

The hotel was very good with all the amenities we needed. The beds were comfortable. We chose the room because it said it was ‘separate’ from the living room with a fold-out bed. It is located around the corner, but it is the same space, so it does not block out the noise of snoring fellow travelers. :-) But otherwise, everything was fine. Friendly hotel owner who gave us tips for breakfast.

We loved the country-lodge feel of the wood-panelled lobby and the old-timer feel of the high-ceilinged room and decor. It showed respect for the past and suited the natural setting well.

The many depressions in the driveway and pavement outside of the hotel trapped water from a major rain a couple of days earlier. But this was no real problem. Just added to the rustic feel.

This place is on the way to Exit Glacier and near to Seward as well ( 5 mins drive). The front office family were wonderful and they helped us a lot with explaining things. Great people. There is also a great restaurant called the Salmon Bake on the property. Try them out during dinner. It's lovely

The road needs to be fixed. Rain made huge potholes.

This lodge is in a great location. It's right at the turn off towards Exit Glacier and only 10 min away from Seward. The room was very clean and the staff was really friendly. There's a little creek that runs right next to the lodge so our kids loved looking at the clear water flowing through the rocks.

The flooring finish in the bathroom makes it very slippery whether it's dry or wet. We had to remind each other to step very carefully when going into the bathroom.

The property manager was very nice and very informative. The staff kept the property very clean and attentive to your request. The property was minutes from Seward & minutes from exit glacier. Also, the salmon bake restaurant next to the lodge was the best meal we had on a 2 week vacation to Alaska.

Such a great location and so cozy and comfortable! We loved staying here and being so close to Exit Glacier plus easily drivable to Seward for restaurants and a grocery store. The Salmon Bake next door is amazing and was our best dinner in Alaska. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful three nights with my husband, myself, and our young son.

Everything was delightful!

We arrived before our check-in time, and they did their best to accommodate us as soon as possible. A mama bear and her cubs were wandering around the cabins, and the staff ensured they were gone before we walked to the cabin. The room was clean and stocked with plenty of toiletries.

It is a little isolated where this is located which is fine, but makes it a little more challenging to get around. There is a rustic restaurant attached that serves good food, but if you wanted to go into town to eat or sightsee, you would need to call a taxi. Uber and Lyft are hard to come by.

Quiet location near the Kenai National Park entrance for Exit Glacier. There was a Ranger lead hike to the glacier at 10 am which we made very easily. The Salmon Bake restaurant next door is good for rustic casual dining; same prices as in town. Owner is very nice and helpful.
