The Bath Place Hotel has so much character! It's full of history, very charming, and literally right next door to the Turf Tavern. The staff were so kind and helpful--they even received a package for me. There was always coffee and tea packets, along with biscuits, in the room, as well as a fan since it was the summer. This is the second time I've stayed there, and I really enjoyed it!

The continental breakfast was truly continental - toast and a croissant, plus coffee or tea. (Cooked breakfast was available for purchase). The mattress was a bit soft and bowed in, but comfortable enough for a couple of nights. Also, if you don't do well with stairs, make sure to request a ground floor room - the stairs are tiny and twisty and uneven. But all in all, this is a perfectly quaint and quirky place to stay!

The hotel is super cute, in a quaint, old-fashioned building with little winding stairs. The bedroom we had was very small, but it was fine for us, the bathroom was nice and the view over the Turf Tavern was good for us. The old windows have more modern double glazing so we didn't have an issue with noise. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was nice and we appreciated the little glass jars for jam and honey, but it was very bread-heavy. It would be quickly improved by providing fruit and yogurt in addition, or something like this.

My room had its own private garden! The room was comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed. The location could not have been better - a very short walk finds Bodleian, Sheldonian, Bridge of Sighs, Radcliffe, etc! The Turf Tavern, which is a wonderful pub, is on the property. The staff was incredibly accommodating, friendly and helpful! They also have limited parking nearby (for a fee, but when driving, that's a wonderful opportunity).

The location couldn't be better - in the heart of Oxford, so just about everything that Oxford is renowned for is within easy walking distance. The history of Bath Place added to the interest and to the overall enjoyment of staying with you. Have the 'full English' breakfast to set yourself up for the day.

Our room was right above the entrance to one of the oldest pubs in Oxford - The Turf Inn - which is popular with students and tourists alike. The evenings at the pub were busy but not 'shouty-shouty', raucous noisy, and while the noise didn't really bother us, it could possibly annoy guests who might want to go to bed early. A specific point: the fire door outside our room (#6 on the second floor) closes automatically on a spring, and when most people come through the door they just let it go after opening it, and it bangs shut - not great after midnight when many guests return to the hotel!

The location was within walking distance of the City Center. The staff were all friendly and extremely helpful. We mostly Ubered around town but there were bus stops not far away.

The Turf Tavern is close so could be a bit noisy. We stayed during the week and the noise level settled down around 10:30. The building is quite historic so do not expect perfection.

Great location, minutes to the city centre and tours and places to eat. Breakfast was great and paid parking was only just around the corner. The turf tavern is just next door for a great pub meal. Room was comfortable.

We were on the 2nd floor so it was hard to get bags up the narrow stairs but we had help. There was carpet in the bathroom which isn't ideal with kids but we managed. The place is 17th century so the floors were sloping and low ceilings ans doors.

It was in a great location. The hotel was old and had character. The continental breakfast was very good. There is a very old pub literally next door going down an alley where we had a night cap.

The bedroom was rather dated. New bedding is needed. The security light outside beamed through the top of the curtains so couldn't sleep very well. Curtain rail needs to be moved up and the curtains need a blackout. The shower was cold but it was soon rectified as the plumber happened to come that day. There were no street maps available which is usually found as photocopies in hotels. It was suggested that I buy a map at the local bookshop. Needless to say, we didn't. Although the hotel is very central, it is still quite expensive.

A gem of a location, full of character, recommended for an authentic Oxford experience. Loved the buildings, Inn next door, a few steps to historic Oxford, great Continental breakfast, friendly and accommodating staff.

I don't think the rooms could have been larger, due to the age of the building. Access up stairs with large luggage needed strength. More power points and updated furnishings would have been appreciated.

I made a mistake when booking and indicated two guests instead of three. The hotel manager kindly upgraded my room for free, even though this is peak travel season. Very grateful for their kindness!

Well, the building is several hundred years old, which is part of the charm. Outlets aren’t plentiful. Noise from the pub next door might be an issue for some. I just closed the window and ran the fan.

Breakfast was poor. Piece of bread or a blank croissant. I ended up going out for a proper breakfast. They shouldn't say they provide a breakfast because they don't unless you want to order ala carte ahead of time..
