The staff were helpful and cheerful. There was a lift. Free car parking in Aldi, but make sure you register at reception or you'll get a fine! The hotel seemed pretty clean overall and, though firm, the bed was pretty comfortable. The plastic clhairs were comfy as well. Wi- fi was good. Carpet nice and looked clean. Our dog was welcome! (£5 a night) Loads of magazines in the foyer to borrow. Weatherspoons next door did excellent cheap breakfast! There was a kettle and tea making stuff in the room. Recommend buying water from Aldi downstairs as tap water not nice. We found the first night very noisy from airconditioning in Aldi downstairs and from 'spoons next door. The flush didn't work properly and kept running. No problem: reception changed us to a larger family room away from the noise. They even phoned me when the room was ready.

Hard to find reception as right next door to Aldi entrance ( above it actually).. Rooms above Aldi cooling units have a noisy humming with low level vibration 24 hrs a day. First room (124) had faulty toilet flush, which we gathered had been faulty for a while. Felt like a student room. Bed and pillows a bit firm.

Very friendly and willing reception staff at all hours. Car parked for free. Rooms very,very clean, modern, warm and cozy.We will always book the Go2 marina Portishead again this year. We return each year usually to come to Go2 from when it was named Travel lodge, and now GO2 . This year (2025)we arrived 5th Jan ( our wedding anniversary 1st Jan so will always book a room at the GO2 near to our anniversary.. we love wandering around the Marina and the many shops and restaurants in the spite of winter weather. Plenty of places within driving distance. A little tour round Somerset is a real reward or a day in the Cotswolds. Regards Derek and Linda Finch.

Really lovely little hotel. Staff were all so friendly, kind and helpful. Room was exceptionally clean and very spacious. We had a nice view from our room looking towards the harbour. Beds were comfy if a little firm, the TV was maybe a little small but overall these things didn’t have a negative impact on our stay at all. Close to everything - Lidl, Waitrose, Wetherspoons, Portishead marina, Subway and other bars and restaurants. Parking was really easy. Would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in the area!

Hotel does exactly what it says on the tin - its budget - so its no frills. The mattress was comfy, the pillows less so. The room and area were quiet and there is free car parking at the back of the hotel. The staff were excellent and catered for our request for rooms together. The shower was hot and we had clean towels each. Having a lift. Great location with plenty of breakfast options in walking distance varying from Lidl to Waitrose, Subway, Wetherspoons (no dogs) to what looked like a couple of eateries across the road.

Not essential to our stay but the hotel is looking a bit tired and the pillows were a bit lumpy - being really picky

The staff make this place! The greeting from a woman when I first arrived was warm, friendly, knowledgeable and personable. This level of warm efficiency was duplicated from every member of staff. They make the difference. The hotel is basic - that's fair to say. However, parking, location and the practicalities were what I needed for an evening pit stop. Hence, why I would stay again. Think twice before purchasing breakfast - what you would get comes in a bag to grab and go. Lidl is right next door - literally plus there is a restaurant called Aqua over the road (delicious food for an evening meal).

It really is the simple things in life that count..please fit a shelf to place toiletries on in the shower!

The location is great, close to shops restaurants and bars. And the marina is right opposite. Staff were awesome, even tho it was very hot! Room was clean, as was the kettle. Bathroom was clean and the shower gel etc smelled nice. Nice hanging rail and the pillows and bedding was fresh and clean. Even tho it has no AC, there was a fan in the room which helped keep me cool. Love the little backlight behind the bed.

Was informed on arrival that due to the current take over there would be no breakfast, which is fine as its usually a grab and go bag but theres plenty of places close by to eat. Bed was extremely hard and the piping round the edge dug into my legs when i got in and out. Looks like it was a new mattress? Lots of road noise when window is open. Towels were very rough. No plug sockets near the bed. No hair dryer in room tho it says so on website (i guess you have to ask for one at reception?) Whole room needs updating - scuff marks and stains on walls. hot cup marks on desk area, chairs looking old and worn. Hope fully it gets the upgrade it deserves as its really a lovely hotel.

Property nearly on the marina in between supermarkets. Basic accommodation but clean and exactly as described. Good shower, better flow than expected in this kind of places. Comfy beds. Welcoming staff. Overall ok for a night or two.

Some disturbing sounds (electronic) late evening, probably from reversing lorries - I doubt it would be any issue for most people unless you were gifted with sensitive ears. I slept with earplugs on. From the hotel side, nothing to complain about.

I have stayed at this lovely place for last 8-9 years and through a it’s transitions (from:Travelodge-Ibis-Go2) when my Son and family moved to the area. Good value for money, albeit some times better than others. Yes it’s basic but beautiful location at the marina and always spotlessly clean with friendly, helpful staff. All amenities nearby with a Lidl on the ground floor and handy for essentials. Many thanks, again. Mike H Glasgow.

There was nothing to dislike.

We wanted a clean, easy to find, easy to park budget hotel without frills. That is exactly what we found, ok , basic, but that is what we were expecting. All the staff we spoke to were well mannered, friendly, and happy to answer any questions. The location was excellent, breaking the journey from Northamptonshire to Devon. Well done, more than happy to use again. Bonus ball, you welcome well behaved dogs!

You share Lidl car park, wasn’t quite clear if you could park anywhere, or a particular area?

Great location, the staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean as were the rooms. Despite there being a pub next door we couldn’t hear any noise from it. Free parking with plenty of space and we only had to enter our details once for our three night stay. The location was central so we were able to travel around. Lidl next door as well so if you need drinks etc it’s very convenient. We had control of the heating for the room which was nice. This is the only hotel I’ve stayed at with a decent hairdryer! Very comfy beds, decent amount of TV channels. We’d definitely stay again.
