A very nice hotel in a good location, with helpful and welcoming staff. The bed was comfy and the room was well stocked, especially with toiletries.
Everywhere was rather dark, including the bedroom and restaurant. The wifi wasn't good and parking is difficult. The view was disappointing (over a flat roof) despite being in a room facing towards the river and bridge.

Great location close to the bridge. Deluxe balcony room was very comfortable and well furnished. Staff were attentive and pleasant. Breakfast overlooking the bridge was lovely and all within walking distance of Clifton village with plenty of shops and cafes and restaurants. Great setting.
No view of the bridge as on lower floor which smelt a bit musty as you went down masses of stairs and corridors to get to it. Reception was very dark and gloomy, I can’t understand why they don’t have it brighter and more welcoming. Parking difficult and expensive.

Amazing hotel in an amazing location! Dinner menu was great (although they were out of a few things late on a Sunday when we arrived) and the bar was also amazing. The view from our room was fantastic, with the suspension bridge seen out of our window. The hotel was on a hill which was awful to walk up, fine to drive up and amazing to see from! We walked to the nearby cafe 360 near the bridge after checking out and enjoyed a drink and the view. Also close to one of the high streets that was full of shops and cool cafes. Really enjoyed the shower products provided, they were of amazing quality. The decor was fabulous and really cosy. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return!

Room (332) was a nice large size. Bed comfy and there was air con. Nice touch that the hairdryer was a normal one that you could turn on/turn off without holding down the switch. Everything appeared clean and there was a nice quality coffee/tea selection on offer in the room. Not quite the view I had hoped for as the bridge itself was a little far round to the right to see properly but how long do we spend looking out of the window? The balcony bar was a really nice spot. Check in/check out was polite and friendly. Evening meal in the restaurant was excellent
Nothing major. If being picky I would say corridor got a little narrow as you headed towards the room but otherwise everything was good. Access through the barrier to the car park took longer that I thought it should. We were sat there for a good few minutes before the barrier was lifted for access.

Building with lots and lots of character. Which can at times be tricky re access (had in-laws in late 80s / early 90s with us) but it was all pretty easy to negotiate. Friendly staff. Laid back feel to it. And of course a great view of the gorge and bridge - particularly from the terrace and breakfast room / restaurant. We took a deluxe room to have a view of the gorge and upgraded the inlaws for £65 a night to a junior suite which was lovely. Excellent breakfast. Nice snug cocktail bar by reception. Parking permits available from reception, spaces in surrounding streets within a couple of minutes of the hotel quite easy to find on our dates. Great base for exploring the rather charming Clifton area.
Not much to fault really. Terrace VERY busy on warm, sunny day - so long queue at the bar (tip: go back into hotel to order from the snug bar by reception instead, much shorter queue). Having paid more for a gorge view to see the view, said windows were quite dirty - though I appreciate the gargantuan task of keeping them all clean in this building.

We loved the location of the hotel and our room which had a lovely view, plus a really comfortable bed. We enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant the morning after we arrived and would recommend. Staff were friendly and, overall, the hotel had a comfortable and welcoming vibe and we'd definitely return.
Unfortunately there was some confusion when checking-in as I had made two bookings, having decided to arrive a day earlier due to the nice weather. We were told we would have to move for the second night so didn't unpack or settle, but found out in the morning this was not the case and we shouldn't have been asked to do this. Our 'monsoon' shower also didn't work in the mornings and noticed it really needed cleaned, due to limescale. There was also some issue with noise from upstairs/next door and intruding smells through the ventilation system at times. We are grateful for the late check-out as some sort of compensation.

Our second stay. Once again the staff were unfailingly polite and helpful. We like the location, but left the car at home this time owing to previous parking issues (there is a good bus service to Clifton from the centre and taxis are not prohibitively expensive). Food delivered by room service efficiently, with generous portions.
The light level has not improved! One bedside light was out completely, further hampering reading, but having reported it, this was swiftly remedied. Similarly, the ensuite shower was leaking on to the floor on the final morning, and staff were concerned to establish that this had not impaired our stay. Generally, we found any problems reported were addressed promptly and with genuine concern.

The Room was gorgeous and big. We really liked to find so many little details in the Room to make you feel Welcome. Like little Towels for the Face, L’Occitane Soap, Nail File, Plugs and USB Plug beside the bed (!) The Reception and all the staff was super helpful and friendly. The morning coffee was lovely!! The option to have only coffee (!!) Instead of a full breakfast because we don’t take breakfast at all, but we do have coffee’s (I know, it’s not healthy 🙄)
Everything was lovely. But if I would have to comment something I would have liked to open the window a bit. Which I couldn’t because we had a scaffold in front and we were in the first floor. I felt it was a bit unsecure leaving it open at night. Other than that. Everything was amazing 🥰

The room was fantastic, it had access to a beautiful private terrace (we got a very affordable upgrade) but I am sure the balcony room was wonderful too! Very enjoyable 2 days: an amazing suite, unbeatable views over the bridge and great location- the area is delightful. A very stylish hotel, friendly stuff in the reception, in the pub and the bar. We didn't eat at the restaurant, we are more late breakfast -" brunchers" - and sadly for lunch we got bad planning in our side. Ahh, they also helped us with the parking ! It was a brilliant choice! We will repeat if we have the chance, because we loved it.
Strangely it was a heater by the bed. In the night was very cold and we couldn't find how to switch on the heating so we used that heater - which was very noisy during the night ! It wasn't terrible, but I could have enjoyed more that amazing bed and had a good sleep without that heater. Also, funny enough I had a lovely blanket that I use for my meditation- and we end up using it. It wasn't too bad we just laughed about it. Probably we could have asked for blankets or the heater but it was late and we were very tired.

Lovely spacious and comfortable room with a fantastic view of Clifton Suspension Bridge and the gorge. Great shower and L’Occitaine toiletries. Wonderful views from the bar and terrace.
We had an issue with the dining room although the food was good. We deliberately booked an earlier meal to have the fixed price menu which we had seen on the website. On being seated only the a la carte menu was provided, and we had to specifically request the fixed price one. When we received our bill we had been charged the a la carte prices which were considerably more. We queried this and the bill was changed. However, it all felt somewhat underhand.
