The location Clean Ice machine in the lobby The staff at the reception are pleasant and quick.

Housekeeping knocks at 9:30 in the morning. Doesnt look too happy if you request for another half hour. The last 25-30 steps to the hotel are accessible only by foot. There are also about 10 steps to the lobby. It was fine for us but it may be a problem for some people with mobility issues. Just wanted to highlight that, incase it is helpful to other travellers. Besides this, the hotel is clean. More like a business hotel. Staff at the reception are prompt. Food at the restaurant was average.

The location is excellent, and the hotel is lovely, clean, and comfortable. Good value for money, I am overall happy with my choice in staying here and would consider returning.

Some of the room features and facilities aren't great. We were first put into a room on the 2nd floor, which didn't have an outside window and instead looked out over the restaurant. If you're going to be given a window out intobIndoor lighting and no fresh air, it should be notified and probably cheaper as it's not desirable in a room. After making a complaint and moving to a new room, the condition of the room was slightly in disrepair and had a smashed sink. The rooms have a small double and a single, which is an odd choice in place of a bigger bed. At least if it's a bit of a squeeze, you can jump into the spare bed. Otherwise, it was comfortable and clean.

Great located and clean hotel. Quiet room with a modern bathroom and a very comfortable bed. The gym was good equipment with dumbbells, 2 benches, fitness and medicin balls, and different cardio machines. I would stay here again.

The room didn't have coffee or tea items , nor a fridge.

The property was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is about ten minutes (on foot) to London City Airport and VERY easily walked.

The location apart from the vicinity to the airport is a little bleak.

Great location in the centre, in an attractive old street, 15 mins walk from Bristol Temple Meads station, 10 to the lively river area and 5 to the covered markets. The staff were very helpful, going out of their way to help me store my bicycle in the basement carpark. My partner needed to work the day we checked out, and the setup was excellent for that, with good wifi and a comfortable hotdesk-style area with lots of plug sockets, tucked away just down from the bar. Great breakfast.

Nothing. I normally prefer small quirky hotels and this is a large, modern hotel - perfect for this occasion.

The Location of the hotel was perfect! I was getting married at a venue in St. Nicholas Market so was only a 5-10 minute walk to the venue. The room was lovely and the perfect size for getting ready, and very comfortable. I also would like to say a massive thank you to the member of staff that checked me in, he was very kind and as soon as I told him it was my wedding he changed my room, which made it 100 times easier to get to my hotel room (particularly when I was going out in my wedding dress and coming back in)

The lighting wasn't overly great when I was having my make-up done, and ended up having the have the desk light shone right in my face. My friend also went down to the reception on the day of the wedding and asked if it would be possible if they could supply us some robes (even if we had to pay for them) for us to get ready without having to sit in towels or get completely dressed before getting in to my dress and her bridesmaid dress. The staff of reception point blank an d rather rudely said 'No, they are for the executive suites only'. It didn't in anyway tarnish our 'getting ready' but it was slightly disappointing to be made to feel that because I didn't book a suite they looked down on us for even asking for that.

Excellent location for exploring the old part of town. The room was very modern, clean and furnished well. The beds extremely comfortable. Great tea and coffee making facilities provided.

Our room had no outside window. Instead we looked down on the foyer and front desk. This gave our room a cave like feeling. As we had booked for 4 nights we were disappointed. No where is this described when you book the room. Also, modern nice bathroom but no rails provided to hang towels anywhere.

Modern rooms, big bathroom, nice breakfast, friendly staff. The location is very good. Close to restaurants, cafés, St. Nicholas market with lots of food stalls. The river is 5 minutes away on foot and the university area 10 minutes. To get to the bridge in Clifton the walk is longer, about 35 minutes but very doable and enjoyable throughout Bristol and the Clifton area. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

Everything was great. Just would have liked to know earlier that during breakfast it is possible to order for example poached eggs. I was only made aware of this because I saw other guests having some.

The staff are super friendly. I found them extremely professional. One of the female staff who was looking after the bar area, Tia, was so warm and friendly. She really helped me whilst going through an upsetting experience.

The bathroom smelt appalling. It needs a renovation. Cracked tiles and bad grouting. Television constantly went out. There was a bad reception in most of the rooms 😕 This was explained as a problem with the whole of the Clayton company across their different locations. I was given a breakfast as compensation. Breakfast had a good choice but unfortunately wasn't hot. Tepid. So, it's not a good compensation.

Breakfast buffet was very good. Plenty of choice. Could have remained open a bit longer on Sunday morning!

Impossible to access hotel entrance by car because Bristol City Council have blocked the road with bollards. For people with luggage and disabilities this is a real problem. The hotel lent me a luggage trolley to collect luggage from the bottom of the road where I had to temporarily park the car on double yellow lines to unload. I then had to push the trolley on cobbled street up the hill. I am 90 years old!! No porter at the hotel! If Clayton is a four star hotel that is not good enough. The reception staff were lovely and very helpful booking in but could not leave the hotel to help me to collect the luggage. Obviously Bristol City council are not keen to attract tourists to their city. Perhaps hoteliers should complain.
