I can't imagine visiting Bristol again and not staying here! The hostel is large, the rooms are beautiful, clean, and well-equipped. Everything you need is in one place. Want to make dinner? There's a huge kitchen (with free coffee!). Want to chill out? There's a common room with a TV, games, and books! Want to dance? There's a beer garden and two bars downstairs with different styles of music! The staff was also super helpful. I had huge boxes of music equipment with me (I'm a street musician). They helped me organize and store them.

Good location, very central and bar downstairs is a great place to chill after a long day out, then easy to get back to the room. Wi-Fi was very good and staff was very friendly, easy check-in and check-out.

The showers were quite annoying as you had to keep repressing the button for water to flow, took much longer than usual. The last night I was there there was a dispute over the beds in the room for two people who had just checked in, one had come earlier and not made their bed, while the second person had made their bed on the same one. This all happened at 3am and woke everyone up in the room, as one of the guests was arguing with the night receptionist in the room for about 15 minutes

The room was so spacious! The showers next door too, and the toilets. I love the huge beer garden downstairs, it always created a relaxed and friendly atmosphere throughout the day. I was amazed at this hostel because of extras such as a huge and well-equipped kitchen and a comfy common room where I could eat and work. Loved all the nearby cafes and street art in Stokes Croft. Everything was within walking distance - the bus station, the city centre and the harbour. I loved the music from the pub downstairs too - you know exactly what hours and days it will be noisy, the rest of the time it's actually very quiet when you need to rest.

My bed light wasn't working and that's quite necessary in a room with 10 people.

Clean sheets and bedding. Comfortable beds. Several options, like 3 bed dorm or larger, private rooms available. Warm in dorm as nights got colder. Large and comfortable common room. Large kitchen, well-equipped (two of everything). Multiple toilets and showers available, I never had to wait. Plenty of hot water in showers. Great location to see the sights in Bristol. Located on party street with plenty of pubs and restaurants. Nice “travel hostel” atmosphere, met some great people. Good price for a night considering other options in Bristol.

Loud on weekends, club on bottom floor plays music until 2AM. Bring ear plugs. Shower can be finnicky, it's push-button style to prevent waster wastage, but you may have to keep holding it the whole time or water will shut off. I couldn't sleep until after the music shut off, even with ear plugs. Since the beer garden is on the ground floor, some of your dorm mates may be sleeping off a night out.

The staff were warm and friendly. Once they found out that it was my first time in Bristol and I was exploring. They gave valuable recommendations on places I could visit. I was allowed to lend the book 111 places to visit in Bristol from the reception. The rooms were clean and quite comfortable for the price. I had the room of 6 and the bunk beds reminded me of my undergraduate days😁. There are single beds if you don't do hotel vibes. They offered to upgrade me to a room of 4 when nobody else was joining my room in the first 4 hours after I arrived. I ended up staying put and other people arrived later that night. Apparently, I had arrived early. Check in is from 3pm, so arriving early isn't a problem. The facility had everything; common room, kitchen, the pub downstairs if you are feeling groovy, cocktail stand and a nice food stand. You get a 10% discount for everything in all of these stands. There are fridges for storing your food, so you can bring in food or buy some items to cook. The best part though was the people I met. People from everywhere, Europe, the UK, Africa. P.S: Do not book for this hostel on Hostelworld.com cos they would discriminate against you based on your nationality and not let you book it. The hotel itself is not like that. It is open and loving to people of all nationality. I had a swell time, extended my stay by one day. I would have extended more if I didn't have work. I almost didn't want to leave but adulthood has me in a chokehold. I will definitely be back there.

Can't really think of a thing that I don't like. Maybe the fact that I didn't get to experience the Thursday night event that is usually slated to happen. It wasn't holding this week that I attended because there is a valentine's hangout instead. I had to leave Friday morning though, so didn't get a chance to experience that either.

I really liked this hostel. The kitchen facilities were great, the common room good too. Everything was generally very clean. Met some really cool people! The staff were absolutely lovely. Location was superb - right near the main bus terminal, an easy walk to the city centre, and an easy bus to the main train station.

It was 30 degrees most days I was there and unfortunately the building didn't have air condition (too common in UK as they don't often get hot days), so the rooms were BOILING at night. The bar downstairs is also very loud until it shuts, which is 2am on Thurs-Sat -- I didn't mind and still slept fine, but just be aware if you don't like loud noise late at night.

I like hostel stays and this one was also very nice. Room was good sized, lockers were good sized. Several wc/bathroom on each level. Kitchdn and dining/recreational area was great. Kitchen was fully equipped and spacious. Linens were given but towel was payable as per notices I saw on the wall. Make sure to bring your own lock as that is not provided. I always have a lock with me during my reavels so I was prepared. You can bring your food with you straight as soon as checkin is completed, you can take care of food business.they have their own bar- it is called Attic but it is actually in front of the enterance. You can bring your earplugs in case the noise would bother you. I was not bothered as I was prepared to have a noisy saturday stay. i didn't use laundry services but i saw inside the building. As per the info on the window near reception they offer food/breakfast. I did an early check out I don't know taste/service or prices. It helped a lot when I came back to propery's message here as they provide links for walking from train station amd coach station. I came from train station and with some detour, I had great sightseeing. But the best thing was the hostel is located a few mins away from coach station which made my early checkout very easy.

The things I can recommend here are for upper bed on bunkbeds. There was a huge gap between the bed and the wall. While this gap is not big enough for you to fall in between, it is certainly inconvenient if you are charging things. There could have been at least some mini shelf just under the electric plug to put basic things like charging devices, book and a bottle of water. I was also a little worried about sleeping because on the other side there was no barrier to stop you from rolling. Ok we are all adults but this is a very high bunkbed. So i was a bit too alerted for both my own sleeping as well as my charging items. I hope you can come up with such solutions like other hostels offering. A mini shelf or box next to the bed/plug.

Basic no frills hostel with character. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Stayed in female dorm for 3 nights. Room was adequate size, beds were comfy and everything seemed clean. There’s a kitchen area and laundry if you need. Towels can be rented for £1. Great location very close to bus station and Cabot circus shopping area. I think it’s a reasonable price for staying in central Bristol and would stay again

The rooms are directly above a pub and courtyard meaning it gets VERY busy (ie Noisy) at night, particularly weekends when the loud music went on until the early hours. If you’re looking for tranquility and calm this is NOT the place! Few small things - only 3 lockers in a 6 bed dorm. Bathroom mirrors need readjusting since they’re too high/small. Also a mirror in the showers would’ve been nice. Also, it’s an old building with steps/uneven floors so this could be a problem for people with mobility issues

I loved everything about this place. From the communication beforehand to the initial greet at the reception. Everything was top class for a backpacker hostel. Wonderful cheerful and friendly informative staff. Big spacious beds, lockers and coat hangers available. Plenty of plugs next to the bunks. I've stayed in a lot of hostels across the world, and this one was the best. I will definitely recommend to everyone staying in Bristol and will be excited to return! The Kitchen and common room, shower room and bathrooms were spotless, spacious and fully stocked.

Nothing, it was all AMAZING.

I stayed when it was really busy and even then everything ran smoothly, it was a decent stay, I don't usually stay in hostels, in fact I hadn't stayed in one in ages but it was a totally reasonable experience even for someone who is habituated to staying in hotels only. You have to be a bit of a solider mentally to do the whole 8 people in a room thing if you've never done that/haven't in a while but if you put on a happy face and just take it for what it is, it's really totally ok. In terms of the rest of the hostel, the food here in the courtyard is actually top notch, the Caribbean food hut does an excellent and authentic jerk chicken. the value is very much here if you're trying to keep budget capped for a specific trip.
