Lovely location in the old city - central for all activities. Great welcome from the host. Well appointed reception / kitchen / lounge areas, with outside seating. Nice compact bedroom and bathroom. Little outside noise / disturbances to disrupt sleep.

Bedroom was rather stuffy - windows partially opened to let in air, but shutters needed to be closed at night to block out light so any breeze was negated anyway. Electric fan supplied didn't add much value unfortunately. Bedroom lacked adequate storage for clothes - possibility to add compact wardrobe in the available space to side of bed? I was staying on my own but this would be more problematic for two guests.

Welcoming reception team with a professional and warm manner. Inviting lounge and breakfast area with a good range of seating options. Outside courtyard area was a nice place to relax on a warm day. Breakfast options looked great although we didn’t have breakfast due to previous arrangements. The bedroom was small but adequate for a couple of nights, but might need to choose a larger room for a longer stay. Bedroom styling was serene and the shutters gave option to sleep with the window open but gave privacy. Comfy bed and pillows. Central location was perfect and noise level for a Friday night didn’t stop me having a great nights sleep. Would definitely revisit.

The sink in the shower room was slightly small and the closeness of this to the mirror made it awkward to wash my face.

Location was perfect very close to the children's hospital as what we wanted, very secure building after 11pm as the gates get locked which we found lovely, nice garden to sit in to have a drink or if you smoke for a cigarette, friendly welcoming staff nothing is too much trouble, loved the little honesty cupboard with drinks and snacks, breakfast smelt and looked amazing although we didnt have breakfast when we stayed, comfy big bed was amazing, nice size tv with a variety of channels to choose from, ironing facilities which is always a bonus too me, the fan in the unit was a god send as the room was very warm and humid,would definitely reccomend and would return again.

Would have been handy to have a mini fridge in the room as the room was so warm that cold drinks turned warm in seconds so wasn't enjoyable to drink when thirsty, although there was a fan in our room it would have been nice to have an extra one as they arent that powerful but we managed and had a lovely stay here.

The location, the price, how modern it felt, the staff all were all brilliant. It’s really good value for money. If the prices don’t go up considerably then I will 100% come back here next time I’m in Bristol.

Nothing. Gave almost a perfect review except for amenities but that’s just me being picky. Came with shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, soap, tea, coffee & hot chocolate & a TV. Very clean & tidy! It’s more than you need & we were so buzzing with the room considering the price. Things like coffee pods would be better but…that would then be reflected in the price so can’t & will not complain.

Great location and design - everything felt incredibly cosy, it didn’t feel like we were staying in a hotel! Super comfortable beds and fan in the room (perfect for the heatwave!)

We can back late at night. It would have been nice if there were some dim lights on the steps as you go towards the hotel door as I struggled to see where I was going. The staff were friendly, but nobody was keen to have a conversation about how we found our stay, how the room was, if there was any feedback… it didn’t negatively impact our lovely stay, but I think that level of care and attention would have taken our (fabulous) stay up to the next level

We had a great stay at Brooks Guesthouse in Bristol. There was a warm welcome when we arrived and checked in. Our room was ready, even though we were a bit early which was great for leaving our bags (although there were storage facilities at reception had the room not been ready). The room was spacious and had a lovely view over the courtyard. The bed was really comfy and although it was warm when we stayed, there was a fan in the room which was really welcome. Breakfast was fabulous and freshly cooked to order. We tried the full English (excellent) and the salmon and poached eggs on a muffin (also excellent and the poached eggs were perfect). Great coffee and the local yogurt was gorgeous and lovely with the fresh fruit and homemade compote. The guesthouse is in a great location, close to restaurants, bars and the food court. Obviously there is a bit of noise at night, but only to be expected when you're in the middle of a city and I like to hear people out having fun! Great accommodation - I've been raving about it to everyone I know!

Only minor niggles - It was warm when we stayed and the duvet was quite thick, though the fan supplied kept us cooler which was most welcome. Also the bathroom was a bit tired and could have done with a deep clean and there was hair in the shower. As I say, certainly nothing major!

I thought it would be fun to stay one of the caravans on the roof. It was exactly that fun but possibly too much for gimmick for an old codger like me! Breakfast was delicious and I’m sure if I’d stayed in one of the rooms it would’ve been a little bit quieter and a little bit more comfortable! But the fool is entirely on me and any young people particularly young couples want to one of those caravans, we have a banging good time

Lovely place in an awesome location. Despite being central with lots of vibrant nightlife all around it's a tranquil hotel with its own unique charm. The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly throughout my stay. Not only do they serve a delicious breakfast but they also offer a help-yourself honestly bar with a good selection of drinks, both alcoholic & non, as well as snacks. I liked the place so much that I extended my stay by a couple of days.

There wasn't anything to dislike about this fantastic hotel.

Breakfast is one of the highlights of our property, with a chef preparing dishes on the spot, including an excellent traditional English breakfast. Guests can also enjoy a wide selection of cereals, beverages, jams, and freshly baked croissants. The property is easy to reach and conveniently located in the city center, surrounded by pubs where you can relax in the evening. From the airport, the Colston Avenue stop is just a 5-minute walk away.

Please note that in the morning some noise from street cleaning could be heard.

Ideal location very central. Best price around. The guesthouse is tucked back off a narrow lane. You cannot drive to it but its a short walk from the road. The staff were very helpful.

I had 3 sets of keys all working different doors/gates to enter the hotel. After a few drinks it can take a while to get in. The staff were all friendly but I feel like they could have done with an extra pair of hands during breakfast time. There was one employee manning the reception and the breakfast all on his own. He did as best as he could.
