The location is fantastic. The room was superb and very clean and comfortable. The staff were great. You can walk out of the hotel and straight into St. Nicks market where there are lots of food stalls.

It's a shame that when you book via Booking.com you don't get free use of the spa facilities. This was not clear to me when booking and the spa was part of the reason for picking this hotel. In the end, the hotel was so good that I didn't regret the decision, and we didn't really have time to use the spa anyway.

Fantastic location right opposite St Nick's Markets and walkable to everything in the centre. Was lovely to have air conditioning in the room in a heat wave! Beds super comfortable. Nice bottled water and carafe of gin!

Breakfast was decent quality but for a continental breakfast a bit lean on offerings. The pool/spa was a a little disappointing. Dark and claustrophobic and the pool small. The sauna and steam room were very nice but the shower to cool off from them was broken so that spoiled the experience. There is a lack of common rooms in the hotel where you can meet and relax.

Great location , if you want busy night life, gets loud! pool is extra even for guests which comparing the price to other places makes us question our stay, an then breakfast pre booked would be an extra for non continental , don’t mind paying extra but when paying for a higher end hotel in Bristol would expect residents to be able to use facilities have cooked breakfast and use the pool without paying £10 an hour

Having to pay extra for breakfast( would have rather had it in booking fee because it was so nice ) and swimming pool , key cards didn’t work every day and once gone up 2 floors and came back down was told this was a normal problem , every day for 3 days and was told it was normal , this isn’t normal no apology just told this is how it is

We stayed at the Harbour hotel for 1 night for our wedding anniversary and it really our experience there really added to our celebrations! All staff we encountered were very friendly, helpful and approachable. The location was perfect, in the city centre so close to everything we hoped for but also really quiet thanks to the location of the room. The room itself was spotless, super comfy and air conditioned which was very much appreciated during the heatwave when we stayed. We didn't get to try the other amenities the hotel had to offer such as the bar/restaurant/spa but are already eager to visit again so we can explore those.

The receptionist Jean was excellent throughout or stay she went above & beyond. So helpful, efficient polite and friendly. The hotel itself was beautiful and in a great location Clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Hard to find lift to the 4th floor. View from room was just rooftops and windows needed cleaning. Room needed re orientation as very neat between bed and wall corner. No biscuits with tea/coffee but a decanter of gin for free ( I believe you pay for the tonic) Room cost £225 per night Wedding meal starter & dessert absolutely fine steak main meal was badly overcooked , quite a number of people left it. Bar staff were good, but a number of us only found out that there had been money put behind the bar at the end of the event ( we were nearest bar and up for a Guinness straight away)

It’s SO fun - all of the period features of the bank are still there so you have these amazing floors, corridors, stairs, ceilings, vaults - it’s stunning! The spa was AMAZING. Having that built into the vaults I can’t even work out how they did this but it was beautiful. We received a free upgrade which was incredible to have and the staff on reception were the dreamiest. We didn’t opt for a cooked breakfast because we’d had a big dinner but the continental was really lovely and covered all bases so well. Will definitely stay again!

Only one one one one one slight minor thing - we had an air conditioning unit that when turned off was quite noisy but that being said we still adored it but it’s the only thing at a push!

The Hotel was perfectly located for access to a wide range of restaurants, theatres and bars in the centre of Bristol, in addition to St Nicholls Market and the local street markets. Parking, whilst not available on site, was plentiful nearby and bookable on line in advance. The hotel was nicely decorated and clean throughout and it was great to have the spa facilities, which were situated in the former bank vault. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, with a warm welcome and thoughtful courtesy throughout our stay. We loved the room and the little extras were a nice touch, such as the Gin and the bottles of water. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the aircon very effective when needed. The quality of the fittings and decor was very evident. Staff were also very helpful in responding to a request for more milk in the form of a fresh jug for tea/coffee in the room. We only used the restaurant for breakfast at the end of our stay, but this was freshly prepared with lots of tasty options on the menu and at a reasonable cost. We would highly recommend a stay here to sample what Bristol has to offer. Its not cheap, particularly at weekends, but seems worth the extra.

Be aware when choosing rates, that the cost of the spa (£10) and breakfast (£12 or £18) may not be included in your stay, so do check what options are available. Our friends thought it was 'a bit much' to be charged for these extras, but we had chosen to book a rate where they were not included so we had the option of eating breakfast/brunch outside the hotel, we also took the option of late cancellation as one of our group had not been well. Shop around and directly contact the hotel when booking your stay, to see what suits you.

Me and Partner Sersh thought most of the facilities(especially the spa/pool area) were brilliant and how much space were in the rooms!! We also enjoyed dining in the restaurant and how the staff are very helpful there. We definitely plan to comeback here in the future.

Having to wait nearly 20 mins in the cold, with my partner, in the early hours of Monday morning to be re-entered in to the hotel, because the staff in charge went to get some food. Also did not apologise when she arrived back, probably assuming we were only outside for a short while. Apart from that everything was exceptional. Also I think there should be an upgrade on the lack of Television channels options, it would be nice if there was sky format television.

Location and quality of the building

Was not warned to book spa as early as possible so when booked it couldn’t get a slot I wanted that fitted with day couldn’t use the spa for very long - very strict with access so wasn’t great

+ Really friendly staff + Classic Georgian building + Although small, the spa was very special in its exclusivity vibe and lighting and high functioning steam and sauna and hot tub and small but cool pool

- Very expensive... felt tight as h*ll having to pay extra 10 each per hour of spa... I guess the upside of this is that the spa is not busy - Had to pay extra 15 to checkout at 12 instead of 11. Most decent hotels do not do this - Corridors to the rooms were filled with used towels and room service cuttlery I guess, bit chaotic - Elevator to our half of the hotel was oldskool functional with big industrial doors
