The location is fantastic. The room was superb and very clean and comfortable. The staff were great. You can walk out of the hotel and straight into St. Nicks market where there are lots of food stalls.

It's a shame that when you book via Booking.com you don't get free use of the spa facilities. This was not clear to me when booking and the spa was part of the reason for picking this hotel. In the end, the hotel was so good that I didn't regret the decision, and we didn't really have time to use the spa anyway.

The Hotel was perfectly located for access to a wide range of restaurants, theatres and bars in the centre of Bristol, in addition to St Nicholls Market and the local street markets. Parking, whilst not available on site, was plentiful nearby and bookable on line in advance. The hotel was nicely decorated and clean throughout and it was great to have the spa facilities, which were situated in the former bank vault. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, with a warm welcome and thoughtful courtesy throughout our stay. We loved the room and the little extras were a nice touch, such as the Gin and the bottles of water. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the aircon very effective when needed. The quality of the fittings and decor was very evident. Staff were also very helpful in responding to a request for more milk in the form of a fresh jug for tea/coffee in the room. We only used the restaurant for breakfast at the end of our stay, but this was freshly prepared with lots of tasty options on the menu and at a reasonable cost. We would highly recommend a stay here to sample what Bristol has to offer. Its not cheap, particularly at weekends, but seems worth the extra.

Be aware when choosing rates, that the cost of the spa (£10) and breakfast (£12 or £18) may not be included in your stay, so do check what options are available. Our friends thought it was 'a bit much' to be charged for these extras, but we had chosen to book a rate where they were not included so we had the option of eating breakfast/brunch outside the hotel, we also took the option of late cancellation as one of our group had not been well. Shop around and directly contact the hotel when booking your stay, to see what suits you.

Location and quality of the building

Was not warned to book spa as early as possible so when booked it couldn’t get a slot I wanted that fitted with day couldn’t use the spa for very long - very strict with access so wasn’t great

Me and Partner Sersh thought most of the facilities(especially the spa/pool area) were brilliant and how much space were in the rooms!! We also enjoyed dining in the restaurant and how the staff are very helpful there. We definitely plan to comeback here in the future.

Having to wait nearly 20 mins in the cold, with my partner, in the early hours of Monday morning to be re-entered in to the hotel, because the staff in charge went to get some food. Also did not apologise when she arrived back, probably assuming we were only outside for a short while. Apart from that everything was exceptional. Also I think there should be an upgrade on the lack of Television channels options, it would be nice if there was sky format television.

+ Really friendly staff + Classic Georgian building + Although small, the spa was very special in its exclusivity vibe and lighting and high functioning steam and sauna and hot tub and small but cool pool

- Very expensive... felt tight as h*ll having to pay extra 10 each per hour of spa... I guess the upside of this is that the spa is not busy - Had to pay extra 15 to checkout at 12 instead of 11. Most decent hotels do not do this - Corridors to the rooms were filled with used towels and room service cuttlery I guess, bit chaotic - Elevator to our half of the hotel was oldskool functional with big industrial doors

Surprise room upgrade was incredible and although the TV was broken the staff gave an honestly good try at fixing it even though maintenance wasn't available. When failing to repair the TV we were offered a complimentary breakfast which was very generous although we wasnt able to attend breakfast due to an event we were attending at 8am. we will 100% return for these reasons. The man who i believe must have done the night shift and the lady on reception Friday the 28th November 2024 should definitely receive praise from their manager.

Could not fault. We unfortunately missed dinner and breakfast due to other events outside of our or the hotels control wish we could have tried the food and the spa

Great location, cosy bed & very clean room. Bar/ restaurant and front of house staff were very friendly and helpful. I will likely stay again but will avoid the food & any extras.

Food looked nice but me and my partner was quite dissatisfied as we thought it was lacking in flavour, quite bland yet expensive (breakfast) The spa was nice but the main pool didn’t look very clean & there was overall about 8 people in there in this hour we booked which I thought was quite a lot for how small the room is. Total we paid about £340 for one night (about £56 was added just for breakfast and use of the pool for a hour) I think this should be included in the price of the room - I just think this was rather expensive for what it was.

A hotel full of character and charm, with really attentive staff. At check-in the receptionist was dealing with an issue for another guest and listening to her care and interaction told us we were in safe hands. Our superior room was really impressive, with an extremely comfortable bed and pillows ( which makes or breaks a hotel ). The location is brilliant for central Bristol. We ran out of time to use the spa but it looks really inviting. Next time for sure. We did have a small issue to deal with while there ( regarding our room ), which was handled with incredible efficiency, courtesy and care—the sort of customer care lacking today. I highly recommend this hotel, and we will be returning. Keep it up, Harbour Hotel.

Lovely breakfast, comfortable room. Good service and everyone was very approachable. Spa facilities are very relaxing and well kept.

Room 102 has a strange staircase access, the safety light in the corridor outside the room was irritating. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and the service was very slow despite us being one of two tables, my mussels were cold and a third of them inedible. When I complained I was offered a free dessert, I think a refund would have been more appropriate. The corridors to get to the room from the lobby were freezing cold.

Our room was quirky, possibly being part of the old bank manager's offices. We had a nice looking atrium outside the room which was shared with the neighboring room, added a bit of privacy away from the rest of the hotel. Comfy bed, nice seating area and great bathroom with a large bath.

Nightclub noise was audible late into the night. Didn't really impact us sleeping, but it was there. Windows could do with a clean on the outside. The TV is small and not really up to today's standards. Bath great, but no shower (except the little handheld one). If you were looking for a quick "get up and go" in the morning, you'd struggle.
