A basic hotel breakfast, much as you would expect. Disappointed there weren’t any fried eggs. Great range for gluten free. Did the offer 2 for £50 on evening meal, this was great value for money, Andrew our waiter, was amazing and gave exceptional service. Presentation was excellent. Amazing location.

Reception staff,, couldn’t find the booking so we had a long wait with 2 elderly ladies. Then she overcharged by accident and only corrected when I pulled up my original booking online, she was pleasant but not apologetic and not particularly helpful. I missed that we needed to book car parking when booking, which was an inconvenience.

Location excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking easily managed.

Cleaning not as expected for superior room. Bathroom not cleaned during our 4 night stay. Shower gel not topped up. Toilet set not the right fit. Better temperature control on air conditioning needed. Minimum 18 degrees is too high. Made for uncomfortable stay at times. Think for price there should be a better hospitality tray. Restaurant - breakfast good but please sort out coffee machine or offer coffee sachets or bags. Wanted to book evening meal Sunday but no chef - missing a trick here. Overall lovely stay but feel hotel is understaffed.

When we first arrived we had a room on the inside of the hotel which was a shame because it was a nice day and the only window faced a wall. When I questioned if it was possible to change to one with a view at reception , they didn't hesitate to accommodate us. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were lovely, on the desk and at the bar. we got a complimentary drink ( which you do anyway when you book there) We arrived at 2:00 p.m. And on the off chance checked if the room was available and they said if we signed up to become a member ( which is free and just requires your email address) you could have a free early check-in so we got straight in the room at 2:00 pm. I was really impressed with the hotel and their hospitality. The location was directly opposite the hippodrome where we were going to watch a musical. Had a lovely bath in the room etc. We are definitely coming back. I work with the general public and it's not always easy to be so friendly and accommodating so thank you for that experience x

I can't really think of any negatives other than I suppose they could have had a spa or a pool (but it really didn't bother us. We didn't go to Bristol city centre to stay in the hotel for hours! ) Just couldn't think of anything else to say

Everything was lovely! The staff kindly agreed to change my room when I pinpointed that I was not comfortable with a room which had a connecting door. I’ve also received a lot of recommendations for places to visit when I’ve mentioned it’s my first time in Bristol. Good breakfast. Quite close (at least for me, I love to walk) to Bristol Temple Meads station. The hotel is just next to the Harbourside, which has a lot of nice places to get a drink. Also, a lot of good dinner options nearby.

I got a bit confused with the aircon system- the room seems to be a bit chilly for me.

Location was perfect for the Hippodrome, literally across the road. The car park was a bonus. Staff were super friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Room was spotless. Beds were very comfy, I had the best night's sleep in a long time! View from my 14th floor room was beautiful, across the harbour and Millennium Square. Didn't use the restaurant, so can't comment on that. Security measures were perfect as the evening started, only room card entry through main doors. Price was excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel, there was great communication before arriving (warning of road closures). Booked parking in advance.

A lovely place to stay, thank you very much! Very friendly staff and the room was beautiful. We enjoyed the drink voucher in the bar too, a lovely welcoming touch. The huge window in the room was incredible! And also the bed and pillows were very comfortable.

Its a bit picky, but there was a champagne cork under our bed. The room was clean, but this just made it feel like maybe it hadn't been checked properly. The curtains had some orange stains on them too. We also tried to use the retractable washing line to hang our rain soaked clothes over, but it was way too tight to unscrew and pull across.

The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and spacious. There were good blackout curtains and no noise from other rooms/corridors, so we were able to have a good night sleep. All the staff we interacted with were friendly, courteous, and helpful. The location was good and very close to the Beacon and theatres.

The car park on site must be booked before visiting, which was not something we were made aware of upon booking (nor within the multiple emails received offering upgrades.). This was frustrating and I think should have been made clear at the point of booking, as there was no available space for us to park during our stay. The room, although mostly clean, had a weird luggage seat (which looked reclaimed from an 80s bus), which had some ominous stains all over it. This was not a great look, and I would encourage the hotel to reupholster this 'feature'.

The location was a great base to explore. Sarah was a really lovely host in the restaurant, she's a credit to the hotel, very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a meal on the first night, the food was very nice but the menu was very limited we felt.It was nice and quiet, we didn't hear other guests coming and going whilst in our room.

It would have been helpful to have had a smaller shaving mirror in the bathroom. Even with two lights on it was difficult to get close enough to a mirror to do my makeup. A lot of the plug sockets were difficult to access and there weren't enough of them, also no USB points which anywhere else would be standard now. The bar server was quite rude to one of the guests, not very professional in how she dealt with the situation which made us feel quite uncomfortable.

The hotel was perfectly situated just a short walk away from the Bristol Hippodrome, which my daughter and I attended to watch a ballet. We booked a parking space with the hotel for £20, and when we arrived we were shown where to park, which was just next to the hotel and very convenient. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly, and our room was spacious and comfortable, and very clean. The breakfast provided was varied and delicious. My daughter especially liked the mini profiteroles! Would definitely stay here again.

The only negative I would have is the £5 charge for room service, which seemed a little steep just for two drinks, but I guess this is probably similar to most places these days.
