Clean modern hotel with excellent facilities. My room was amazing with all the trappings of a high quality international hotel. Free parking in the centre of the city is a huge bonus. Recommended - I would stay here again.

The dark lighting in the room and bathroom. Everything is wall lamps - there is no main ceiling lamp. Your room key powers the room but there is no delay between when you remove the card out and the room plunging into darkness. A small delay would be good.

Location and excellent service.

TV was intermittent. Bathroom floor slippy. Light and electric point only on one side of the bed. Duvet smaller than duvet cover!

Only thing was the windows don’t open, I’m a sucker for abit of fresh air in the room.

The lovely staff - very helpful and always smiling, they made the stay great! Rooms were cleaned daily and there was a bath! Not many hotels have a bath so that was a pleasant surprise! Most things were working apart from the TV which was losing signal most of the time. The room we stayed had a brilliant view of the road which was great for the kids! The location of the hotel itself was amazing, as the shopping centre was just opposite, a massive and secure car park right next to the hotel and parking was free for us hotel guests once validated at the front desk and if travelling by car, you can easily catch the motorway out of the city! Also the room size was great, very spacious and beds were comfy

Paying £16 for breakfast when pre-booked or paying £18 for breakfast when paying on the day is not worth it. Although the breakfast was nice and it is a buffet, you can save money and go to the shopping centre opposite the hotel for a cheaper and fulfilling breakfast. If the breakfast is included in the stay then it would have been better. Car park could have been closer - I.e. To be able to park next to the hotel would have helped especially with young kids and lots of luggage. But I did appreciate being able to park at the back of the hotel to remove / add luggage during arrival / departure

Location is perfect. Right on Cabot circus and less than a minute from the M32. Staff were excellent. The bar is very nice and the food was very good too. The car park fees are fully covered by the hotel, so you just get your ticket stamped each time you leave and pay nothing. Brilliant, considering modern city parking prices and availability.

The bed was huge, but the mattress was awful. Completely shot and no support. We used some of our 9 pillows provided to pad out the hollow area. Then slept the other way around to try and negate the huge dip towards the head end. Very uncomfortable. Unfortunate, as everything else was great.

Large room at back of hotel 1st floor. Good breakfast. Excellent location for our trip requirements.

Requested a quiet room, this would have been quiet but unfortunately we had a group of Males outside of our room gathered on the pavement all night for all 3 nights, drug taking and shouting throughout the night, they only dispersed in the morning then came back every evening. We didn’t get much sleep and as I was playing a bass drum at large city event for 3 days, I needed to sleep and recover at night. I appreciate that this isn’t the fault of the hotel but needs to be considered when someone requests a quiet room.

The hotel is well positioned, right next to Cabot Circus mall. The parking area is only a short walk away. Many eateries nearby. Public transport is not an issue too as the bus to London city is about a 15 minute walk.

Would be excellent to have the back part of the hotel be converted to a parking area.

Room was comfortable, but there was no view as the window had frosted glass. The room was kept tidy and coffee replenished by room maid. The breakfast were outstanding and the dining room staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. We dined in Chophouse on the second night and thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks at very competitively priced. Ideal location for exploring Bristol.

My only concern was parking. I know that it was free and right next to the hotel, but when we arrived we noticed numerous people sleeping rough in the car park and I was really concerned how safe my car was. As things panned out there was not a problem. I did however experience a problem leaving the car park - the hotel stamped my ticket, but the barrier would not open. Luckily I found an attendant after about five minutes and he sorted this out via the intercom system to the office.

The hotel was in a great position opposite a shopping centre and close to some excellent restaurants. The rooms were roomy although the en suite bathroom was very tight. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet, although we faced the back of the hotel, i'm not sure this would be the case at the front where there was a busy road. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the meal was very good.

I'm not sure where this fault lies. When I booked for two rooms for 4 people I was convinced I had booked the rooms to include breakfast. When we arrived at reception and asked them to confirm I had booked breakfast. The girl said one room included breakfast but the other didn't. I was surprised as I was sure I had booked for breakfast for the two rooms. She said she would look into it but in the meantime we could have a complementary breakfast. This we did and after breakfast I went to the desk to check what had happened. This time a man checked for us and said that in fact none of us had a breakfast included. In all the years I have been travelling with Booking.com we have never had any problems. Looking back at other peoples comments this happened to someone recently.

Massive room and bed. The bed was about 7 feet wide and as well as a large TV in the room, there was even a wine cooler/ice bucket, not that I needed that when I checked in at 10.30pm! If you judge hotels by their breakfasts as well as their facilities, this hotel is brilliant. Bacon with crispy edges, proper sausages with herbs in them (not that pressure-washed and macerated poultry "meat mush" that you get in cheap sausages), scrambled eggs that were passable (certainly not scrambled egg "crumbs" sitting in a runny white puddle), properly cooked tomatoes and mushrooms, crispy hash browns, etc. The fruit & yoghurt selection wasn't bad and the bread and pastries were pretty good as well. Adjacent parking in the Cabot Circus car park is a breeze; just make sure that you follow the instructions that the hotel provide if you want to avoid the Bristol ULEZ zone which covers 2 of the three entrances/exits (use the Houlton Street one). It's clean, very well lit, spacious with plenty of parking spaces and free if you validate your parking ticket with the hotel reception.

My only (very, very minor) criticisms of the hotel really was that at breakfast, the glass jars that the yoghurt pots come in were too narrow for the desert spoons that were on the tables (grab a tea spoon from beside the tea/coffee machines) and there wasn't any black pudding on display when I stayed. (I did say they were very minor criticisms!)
