The lovely staff - very helpful and always smiling, they made the stay great! Rooms were cleaned daily and there was a bath! Not many hotels have a bath so that was a pleasant surprise! Most things were working apart from the TV which was losing signal most of the time. The room we stayed had a brilliant view of the road which was great for the kids! The location of the hotel itself was amazing, as the shopping centre was just opposite, a massive and secure car park right next to the hotel and parking was free for us hotel guests once validated at the front desk and if travelling by car, you can easily catch the motorway out of the city! Also the room size was great, very spacious and beds were comfy

Paying £16 for breakfast when pre-booked or paying £18 for breakfast when paying on the day is not worth it. Although the breakfast was nice and it is a buffet, you can save money and go to the shopping centre opposite the hotel for a cheaper and fulfilling breakfast. If the breakfast is included in the stay then it would have been better. Car park could have been closer - I.e. To be able to park next to the hotel would have helped especially with young kids and lots of luggage. But I did appreciate being able to park at the back of the hotel to remove / add luggage during arrival / departure

Requested a quiet room, this would have been quiet but unfortunately we had a group of Males outside of our room gathered on the pavement all night for all 3 nights, drug taking and shouting throughout the night, they only dispersed in the morning then came back every evening. We didn’t get much sleep and as I was playing a bass drum at large city event for 3 days, I needed to sleep and recover at night. I appreciate that this isn’t the fault of the hotel but needs to be considered when someone requests a quiet room.

The hotel is well positioned, right next to Cabot Circus mall. The parking area is only a short walk away. Many eateries nearby. Public transport is not an issue too as the bus to London city is about a 15 minute walk.

Would be excellent to have the back part of the hotel be converted to a parking area.

The hotel was in a great position opposite a shopping centre and close to some excellent restaurants. The rooms were roomy although the en suite bathroom was very tight. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet, although we faced the back of the hotel, i'm not sure this would be the case at the front where there was a busy road. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the meal was very good.

I'm not sure where this fault lies. When I booked for two rooms for 4 people I was convinced I had booked the rooms to include breakfast. When we arrived at reception and asked them to confirm I had booked breakfast. The girl said one room included breakfast but the other didn't. I was surprised as I was sure I had booked for breakfast for the two rooms. She said she would look into it but in the meantime we could have a complementary breakfast. This we did and after breakfast I went to the desk to check what had happened. This time a man checked for us and said that in fact none of us had a breakfast included. In all the years I have been travelling with Booking.com we have never had any problems. Looking back at other peoples comments this happened to someone recently.

The location was amazing. Room was a good size, very clean and tidy. large tv. Shower pressure was fantastic. Bed was comfortable, though the pillows were a little thin, so doubled up (lots provided). Refreshments were great, bottled water, tea and coffee! Maybe a little more shower gel could be provided? but it did smell nice. Free parking, saved me around 60 quid in parking (20 per day). Staff were very friendly and helpful!

TV was good quality, but rubbish limited Freeview channels, no way to cast to the tv, no additional apps like netflix etc. Not a lot can be done about this as was in the city centre and alongside a main road. But was frustrating being awoken by noisy cars screaming past. Parking is inside the low emission zone. offset by the fantastic location and if you have a modern car, no issue.

Compliments to the majority of the staff at reception, bar and especially the breakffast service. Early access to our room on arrival was much appreciated. The time and help received finding our way around Bristol again much appreciated. Makes for a good Bristol welcome!!!! Thank you

A shame. You let yourselves down by first, room cleaning on the second day, the full bin in the bathroom was not emptied. The shampoo and wash pouches were not replaced for the second day. No shower caps supplied in the bathroom at all. Not everyone wants to wash their hair under the shower. Not enough milk and tea left in the room again on the second day.

The location and proximity to a car park (accessible outside of the Clean Air Zone) was the main selling point for us. Parking was also free for our stay. We had booked a double room but seemed to have been upgraded to a super king (the bed was massive!). The room was a decent size, clean, shower had plenty of hot water, and was so quiet! We weren't facing the main road but we couldn't hear anything at all, which made for an excellent night's sleep. Staff friendly on check in / out. Simply cross the road and you're in the main shopping area.

It was quite expensive for us; £280 for two nights. But it was mid-August and over the weekend of the balloon festival and still one of cheapest in the city for that weekend. The décor overall is a bit dated, and the large cupboard blocked a lot of the natural light.

The location was perfect, really easy to find and the included parking was just 2 mins walk door to door. All The reception staff were so helpful and friendly. The room was huge and really comfortable. Location great, out the front door and straight into the shopping centre where there’s plenty of choice for food. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, all the buffet stuff was lovely and fresh, including cold meats and fruits. There was also a choice of made to order items, pancakes omelettes etc. and the staff honestly couldn’t do enough for you. My daughter loved the piano in the restaurant! We visited as a stopover on the way to Cornwall, my sister stopped over in Gloucester and paid a similar amount for a far less desirable hotel. Would visit again without hesitation. I hope this gets fed back to the management about how wonderful their staff are, as they deserve some recognition.

The hotel is positioned perfectly to access Cabot Circus & the rest of the City Centre. It’s free for hotel guests to park in the Cabot Circus Car Park, which is adjacent to the hotel. We did have an issue with our shower tray filling up with water, but we reported it to reception & they sent someone up to fix it while we were out. Following that we had no issues. The breakfast selection was excellent, & kept well stocked. We ate in the Chop House Restaurant on both nights of our stay, & the food & service were top notch on both occasions.

There were no hooks to hang up wet towels, so we had to drape them over the chairs. The toiletries offering was a bit random. We were given one pouch of shower gel & one shampoo (no conditioner), which for a couple staying two nights wasn’t really substantial enough. Luckily we had our own toiletries anyway. I’m sure if we had asked reception for more they would’ve obliged though.

Very quiet room, very little noise filtered in from other rooms. Bed was one of the best I have slept in. A++ for mattress. Staff were all very friendly.

On site food was not brilliant. The lighting in the room was dire. Far to dim for us. Only one lighting circuit in the room so either ALL the lights were on or they were all off. Only one switch at the bedside so I had to ask my partner to turn the lights on and off. No hope of any bedside reading as ALL the lights were on. Power point on one side of the bed only. Plenty of others in the room, but not well thought out as I had to charge my phone overnight away from the bedside.
