This was the second time that we have stayed at this property. It is a reasonable distance outside the CBD but it suits us to stay in this area. On the whole, the property was clean except as noted below. The rooms are spacious. Beds were comfortable and showers hot and strong. We appreciated the availablility of the coin operated washing machine and dryer even though we found them by chance.

The fridge had not been cleaned after the previous occupants. A bottle of partially consumed softdrink had been left in the fridge. From its appearance, it had been there for some time.

Staff were lovely!! Very helpful and very accomodating, bed and linen were comfortable, air conditioner and mini fridge worked a treat, as did the tv(a rarity). Bathroom had a massive bench space and a full length mirror, single shower but above standard size, large enough to actually move in comfortably with good water temp and pressure, and actually had towel rails! (not as common as you would think!) even their mini complementary toiletries were so nice, and didn’t smell like awful toilet sprays like you usually expect. Very nice place, was super happy with our stay, would recommend to anybody looking in the area :) We came down for a country festival at Caribbean gardens, was only a 5minute, $10 Uber ride away which was another big bonus

Minor things like the toilet roll holder was falling off the wall so the roll wouldn’t stay on, that was about the biggest issue though

Great clean and modern bathroom and good bedding and amenities. Heaps of storage and dinnerware, microwave and fridge etc. Quiet area and a good starting point to various destinations. Check in and check out were smooth going and will gladly stay there again.

If I'm being super picky, the couch is slouchy and outdated , maybe turn it into a seating bench with foldable table or something like that or otherwise just a more modern couch. Also the door should have security screen door as well as a seal down the bottom to stop the wind from coming through or knocking it about.

I had a hospital stay at Mulgrave Private hospital. My daughter stayed at the room whilst I was in Hospital then I returned for a couple of days to get over the operation, beds were fantastic. The front office lady was very helpful. Thank you.

It was a little hard to get meals close by. Without a car. We used Uber eats which got quite expensive

Check in pleasant and efficient. Kitchen facilities excellent and more than I expected. Room large and good to have a decent table and chairs to eat at.

Bed a bit squashed down on my side where many guests have sat on the side of the bed. Otherwise the bed was very comfortable and large as two singles together. Shower and loo old-fashioned and a bit of mould on the door frame from the shower. But water hot and strong flow. Loo took ages to refill though. AND there was a noise like a drill at 2am and 6am for several minutes on and off. Might have been a vibration from another room. But, to be fair, neither a problem for a good sleeper, or a couple, or one person.

The Manager was nice and very accommodating. The location, the room & decor & cleanliness. Air-con/heater, microwave, kettle and fridge. Spare blankets & pillows, tv & free wi-fi. Card entry. Walking distance to buses, fast food restaurant, and 7- 11. The location is perfect for me when visiting in the area, and I look forward to returning often.

No breakfast/meals available. (not sure, but maybe available at other times). TV was not a smart tv so couldn't cast wirelessly from phone. (could take a hdmi to phone cable or chromecast device though).no elevator.

For our family of 5, we were able to book two rooms. The WiFi reception itself is great, but the registration to get WiFi working is a pain. The area around has good bakeries, laundry, and restaurants.

Getting WiFi activated requires them to give you a printout which you have to enter into each device (maximum of 5 devices). That activation process was a pain. The laundry onsite is not very good, but there are good laundry facilities around for those that have more than one load. The rooms were a bit musty smelling (my wife says they smelled like men's cologne). There were a lot of signs up about 24 hour camera surveillance which makes you wonder whether the neighborhood is safe or not.

The room we had was clean,spacious and catered to our family with teenagers The staff were so accommodating and friendly and gave us a free room upgrade which we were grateful for. . This hotel is always my favourite as its close to everything,, has large sized rooms and always clean. RIH never fails to cater to our expectations. Thank you once again. I'm sure we will be back again and again.

That we didn't stay in Melbourne longer this time

I loved how friendly and polite the staff were from talking to them over the phone through the moment I checked in and checked out. They were very accommodating and even kindly allowed me to have a early check-in and a late check-out considering I had asked them last minute. Overall I enjoyed my stay and highly recommend it if you're looking for a nice relaxed staycation.

The bed was huge, great location, spacious room, plenty of different lighting options, complementary toiletries.

It smelt like someone had smoked in the room, shower wasn't cleaned very well, I also woke up with a few bites on my legs and neck so not sure if there were bed bugs or not.
