The hotel is truly beautiful, very well restored. Rooms are spacious. Overall very happy. We loved the kite activity (they offer free activities during the stay), the view from the rooftop is quite special, you see everyone flying kites from neighboring rooftops.

Hotel prices for taxis/transportation are extremely high (compared to Booking.com or Uber), so wouldn't recommend booking transportation with the hotel. Drinks at the hotel are also quite expensive. The hotel is located in Old Delhi, you have to reach the hotel by foot because no cars or tuk tuks can get there (but we didn't mind, it's just a few minutes from main road), it's just something to keep in mind - it's a nice hotel in a quite poor neighborhood and not so much to do by foot around except going to the Mosque

Beautifully restored building in old Delhi. The location is very unique. Not easy for any transport as the last 5 mins is inaccessible to taxis and rickshaws. Also quite far from the metro. You can use auto/ rickshaw but they are not without their moments . It is the craziest part of the city but very interesting if you are not too averse to crowds and noise. . Aside from this it’s a fabulous place to stay - flying kites off the rooftops was a great detail. As well as Lovely traditional music in the evenings. We loved our stay and wouldn’t swap it for anywhere else. Memorable and magical

Access , (as above)and the rooms get quite a bit of street noise but that’s the neighbourhood vibe.

Staying at this hotel was a fabulous and unforgettable experience for my family and me. As it was our first time in India, arriving was a bit of a cultural shock, especially since the hotel is located right in the vibrant heart and noisy part of Old Delhi. The sights, sounds, and activity around us were so intense as we made our way through the bustling streets toward the hotel. It truly felt like stepping into a new/old world! The narrow streets leading to the hotel require a short walk, but the hotel staff met us and guided us, adding to the charm and authenticity of the experience without any hassle. The food was incredible! My boys absolutely love Indian food, but I’m usually more hesitant. However, the amazing staff made every effort to suggest delicious dishes that weren’t too spicy, and I ended up enjoying every bite. Their attention to detail, both in the room and in catering to our dining preferences, truly made our stay special. While the location was initially overwhelming, we quickly adapted and found ourselves enjoying the authenticity it brought to our stay. By the end of our four-day visit, we all felt we'd experienced a real slice of India, one that we’d remember forever. The hotel itself was a calm oasis amidst the energetic and hectic surroundings, providing comfort and warmth each time we returned. Highly recommended for travelers looking for an immersive, culturally rich experience!

Our only suggestion would be to keep breakfast open for an extra 30 minutes to accommodate guests who may want a bit more flexibility in the morning. It would be the perfect touch to an already outstanding experience!

Everything was amazing from the room to the food and service. We did kite-flying on the roof and there was also a cultural performance in the evening. The food in the restaurant was very good and we tried the tasting menu - The flavors were a little subtle and could be stronger!

Nothing - Everything inside the hotel was an amazing experience. Only issue was reaching the hotel as it is in the middle of very narrow lanes inside Chandni Chowk and therefore some assistance with transport and maybe guidance for car-parking could be useful.

It is a beautiful Haveli and it is great that places like this are restored. As it is right in the heart of Old Delhi (in a maze of small alleyways) it is better suited for the last days of your holiday (when you've adjusted to India) than the first ones. The haveli itself is quiet. Roofterrace and courtyard are very nice. Room and bathroom are also very nice.

As this is a very expensive place to stay, I have some comments: -Staff could be better trained -Breakfast could be just a bit better and longer hours -The hotel shop could be nicer, it doesn't have much (compared to what I can buy at the airport) -the exterior and the street do not feel inviting, I see a roll for the haveli there

Location, location, location! The ease of stepping in/out to visit Chandni Chowk , the Jama Masjid, the Jain temple and red fort can’t be beaten! We took an independent guide to gain a history and geographical overview and then easily revisited and extended our walks into the congested lanes. We felt safe at all times. The Havelli itself is lovely and matches many we have stayed in this trip; however the prices for services are comparatively higher. We took taxis in/out for ease of dropping off and having staff help with the luggage. It’s a very expensive service. On both occasions pick ups were late; plan ahead to avoid anxiety due to Delhi traffic. We dined in the lower courtyard which was delightful with in/ outdoor dining. We stayed at the weekend and the Havelli is extremely busy with outside tourists and large groups which we think deter from staying guests’ experiences. Book a table ahead of time! We were disappointed that the rooftop dining wasn’t on offer as per the marketing. We flew kites which was a nice touch but not as grand and organised as the marketing promoted. Guests simply turned up for a few minutes leading to congestion on the small balcony. We booked the Indian high tea; 2,000 rupee p/p. Nicely presented selection of Indian snacks. Dinner costs on average 4/5000 rupees without alcohol. The beer is very expensive in comparison to other hotels. The mock tails were delicious. Staff are friendly and servers proud of the local dishes. The live drumming provides ambience in the evening; the dancing is a set of short performances interspersed throughout the evening. The room was comfortable; shower water hot. The evening music can affect rest and noise in rooms until later in the evening. We loved the book provided in the room for reading and will follow up with a purchase. There are photos displayed of the refurbishment and more non fiction books on Delhi would be a bonus.

The hotel had the best location! So close yet so far from the Chandni Chowk.. by far I mean that it was soo quite and relaxing it didnt even feel that you were in the middle of all the chaos! I took a food walking tour which was great (overpriced though) specially considering food costs soo little. We were given a free kite flying lesson! FUN! And there was a traditional dance show twice every night! Was lovely to see!! The food at the hotel was really yummy too... and breakfast exceptional! The staff extremly nice!!

The hotel is overpriced honestly, but in the end you pay the price for the level of luxury this hotel provides!!

The hotel is a tastefully restored old building with its own history. Very pleasant impressions of the interior decoration of both rooms and common spaces. Great view from the roof. Restaurant with excellent cuisine. Very pleasant staff. Special thanks to the manager who went out of his way to meet us and gave us the room we liked on the spot, not the one I had booked.

It is not possible to drive up to the hotel itself, some distance has to be walked through narrow streets. This is a very conditional disadvantage, the staff do their best to minimise the inconvenience.

Our stay @ the Haveli Dharumpura was truly an unforgettable experience. This is a stately UNESCO heritage listed property which has been carefully refurbished to its previous grandeur located within the maze like streets of Chandni Chowk. We got there on a rickshaw navigating through the convoluted, congested & crazy streets of Old Delhi. It was definitely an inundation of the senses. & we arrived in this beautiful, calm & orderly space which welcomed us to a pampering experience of attentive staff, cut above the rest dining setting & food quality & we were even treated to traditional Indian dance performance. What made this stay extra special was that we could discover Chandni Chowk by ourselves. Getting a 1st hand experience of Old Delhi in the raw was most interesting, confronting & the best experience any intrepid traveller could ask for.

The hotel is a lovingly restored mansion, with an open inner courtyard, in the Chandi Chowk section of Old Delhi. The rooms are beautiful with all mod cons. The staff is wonderful. The location is within walking distance of all the shops, food stalls, and attractions of Old Delhi. If you get tired or lost, a tuk-tuk or cycle rickshaw will bring you back for a dollar or less if you want to bargain.

The part of the street that the hotel faces is too narrow for wheeled vehicles. Someone has to schlep your bags.
