Location is great for shopping. Hotel is big and comfortable. Elevators are practical. Staff is smiling and helpful. Our room was upgraded even though we didn't tell anything. Food in the Balmoral restaurant was delicious. Sound isolation from the street is very good. Underground is very near. There are very good restaurants close to the hotel.

Breakfast has a lot of varieties, but a little bit boring if you are staying 3-4 days. Everyday the same hot buffet. Sound isolation between the floors is not very good. Bathroom is small but practical, not a big problem.

Magnificent hotel facilities and amenities, very clean rooms, food and beverages were excellent, staff were highly professional, attentive and very friendly especially the 7th floor reception truly made our stay pleasant, swift arrival and checkout process. Great experience overall cant find anything to complain about, I look forward to staying at Fenix Gran Melia again

Same old good Melia with best surroundings and easy walking access to all major places - Barrio Salamanka, Prado, Retiro and others + shopping disctirct around

Food preparation was terrible, no idea, whats the reason (maybe summertime and temporary cooks, no idea), any hot meal was bad. I'd also mention problems with any topic or inquiry understanding + maybe language problems + slow moving of some personnel. Performance also need to be imporved.

If you enjoy shopping, this hotel is well-located. It is not however a great spot for tourism — but a 30 walk to the tourist spots is easy. I chose Fenix because they have private, outdoor hot tubs on their 7th floor terrace. We reserved room 701 but it had a shower over the tub and I don’t like the trip hazard so we upgraded to suite 711 which was excellent. Hot tub heats to 104F/40C but jets are fairly weak. But hey, it’s private so hard to beat. The staff bring all sorts of gifts and goodies to the room every day and the 7th floor lounge has unlimited drinks and food which, if you prefer to eat a good breakfast and dinner quickly, you can save $$ every day. The thai massage is not to be missed. Great staff, stores will deliver your packages to the hotel so you don’t have to lug them around.

Basically, everything and I wish to say that the staff is probably the most valuable asset in this hotel. Of course, it is very clean, classic, and beautiful but without the amazing human touch of the service, hospitality, and kindness I would say it wouldn't have been the same.

the hotel is very beautiful, the room is spacious and comfortable, the staff is very attentive and friendly We had a wonderful holiday in this hotel, we felt the care of the staff and their willingness to help, if we come to Madrid again, we will only stay in this hotel!

The only small drawback of our room was the very small and uncomfortable toilet

Rooms and interiors for today look outdated, to be honest, some personnel quickness and ability to react and understanding of their job is doubtful

Located in a very convenient and safe area of Madrid, walking distance from the city center. The staff was just great, very attentive and helpful. Cleaning personnel was doing an amazing job as well. We also really enjoyed the red level lounge with complimentary food and drinks throughout the day.

The only one thing was that the room was much smaller than expected, it was written here in the booking that it is 50 m2, and in fact it was just a normal size room with a terrace and hot tub. But we were offered to switch to a bigger room free of charge, which we thought was a very nice gesture from the hotel.

Staff were very helpful and genuinely caring. The services provided were excellent. Rooms were spacious with great views form amazing prices.

Every thing was perfect. There was nothing I didn’t like. Perhaps, adding a water hose (peide) in the toilets, would be great.

The stay was delightful. The location is amazing. Thank you for all the hotel staff, they were friendly especially the red level staff who helped us and arranged our bookings. We enjoyed our time in Madrid😊
