service was great, they all looked after us very well and the room was fabulous. the staff assisted us in finding very convenient parking and getting our bags to our room as we had a baby. the breakfast in our room was very nice too and set us up for the day nicely. we loved our stay and would definitely visit again.

only areas for improvement i think i would mention would be that there was a surcharge for a baby cot, this was the only hotel we've encountered this in and also the most expensive of our trip. The food in the restaurant was good and classic french but not outstanding considering the prices, not sure what the food scene in Troyes is like as we only had one night there

I have been before and knew my friend would love the building and the town. They both basically lived up to expectations other than the important missing items listed below. A great shame....

I believe that a five star hotel should emit a feeling of total luxury. There were no slippers and all floors brick it stone, no shower caps, no shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and not even a small biscuit to enjoy after eight hour drive. On Check out we were told that all of these things available on demand via a tiny list in the bathroom which I did not even see. Luxury means instant availability of all of these items in my opinion making our stay a little disappointing.

This is an exceptional historical building that clearly takes pride in the level of service offered. We were breaking our journey home after a holiday in Provence, so only stayed one night but wish we had been able to stay longer. The location is only a 5 to 10 minute walk from the centre of Troyes but is very quiet and peaceful. The hotel’s inner courtyards are lovely and we sat there to have drinks in the evening and for breakfast. The staff were all eager to ensure the best possible stay and were very friendly. We will definitely go back to Troyes and this hotel.

Nothing. The optional breakfast was lovely but expensive at 31 Euros per person.

Breakfast was exceptional. Fresh, imaginative and varied, served quickly but with excellent attention to detail. Location of the hotel was ideal being just 19 minutes walk to the town yet it was in a lovely quiet location with nice views. Parking was free and right outside on a quiet side street in the old town.

The only complaint is that the nearby cathedral has very noisy church bells that chime!

room was lovely and warm, one of the cleanest hotel bedroom's I've ever been shown into and lots of little details considered. breakfast was sensational. A myriad of choices, all fresh and/or homemade. Delicious local produce and as mcuh as you could want. Would give many 5 * London hotels more than a run for their money - and all in front of a roaring log fire in a charming breakfast room. location was in the heart of the medieval city, right next to the cathedral but still easy walking distance to the heart of the bustling shops and restaurants.

nothing would have improved our stay

The hotel is a trip back in time. The buildings are centuries old but the rooms have been modernised to a very high standard. The owners, Julie and Kamil, together with Laura at the front desk are always available and couldn’t be more helpful. It was a five star experience.

Beautiful historic Hotel, in great condition, spotlessly clean and very aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. Friendly, welcoming staff, good service. Small outdoor Pool in the courtyard garden. Perfect location for walking into the centre of Troyes.

Nothing. Glad we booked private parking, but plenty of public spaces in the locale.

La Maison de Rhodes is quite simply the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The combination of a beautiful building, lovely characterful rooms, helpful and attentive staff, good facilities and wonderful food surpasses all other hotels I have experienced.

I can't fault the hotel.

Delightful property renovated to a high standard within complete keeping with the period. The staff from our welcome at reception until are departure were all kind, attentive and could not have done more to help us with everything we needed. Our room and breakfast were both excellent.

Absolutely nothing.

One of the things we love most is how wonderfully dog-friendly the hotel is — our pup was treated like part of the family and joined us everywhere, even at dinner. Speaking of dinner, the meal was outstanding — beautifully prepared, delicious, and at an excellent value.
