Our stay at Grand Gables Inn was a wonderful and outstanding experience! The building is impressive, we felt very welcome and comfortable. The owner and the staff are warmly hospitable, we really enjoyed our stay and especially a very interesting tour threw the building. We travelled by train and were able to stay in the Villa and in our rooms until departure time, the owner drove us to the train station. We will never forget this great experience about hospitality:) Thank you! We can also recommend Velchoff's Corner for Dinner, nice place, good food and a walk threw beautiful Ravine Gardens State Park. So to visit Palatka and Grand Gables Inn is absolutely recommendable!

The owners are very friendly and hospitable. We enjoyed learning about the story of Grand Gables. The location is wonderful too, right next to the St. John's River, and just a short drive to St. Augustine and Crescent Beach. We brought our 5 month old (she slept in the closet), and had no issues thanks to easy access to the kitchen.

Just slightly dusty, but to be expected from a facility of that size and age

We stayed there with our daughter (College Junior). Host was fantastic - super accommodating & very knowledgeable about history of the area and this property specifically! Hidden entrances & secret tunnels!! Such a cool place to stay😁

Possibly more breakfast options, in general, and a couple options for people with special dietary restrictions (diabetic, gluten free, etc.); however, what we were served was very good and the chef/server/daughter was very attentive!

I absolutely loved having our own private entrance as well as a very convenient, clearly-marked handicapped parking space. The owner, Tate, contacted me in advance to let me know where to park and how to enter the inn.

I sure wish we could have stayed longer than just one night!

Everything! If you have an interest in history and architecture. You would appreciate this house. The staff was phenomenal! Jesse cooks a delicious breakfast! I can’t wait to return!!!
