The hotel has an excellent central location, making it very convenient to explore Lausanne. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, providing a complimentary metro card, which was a great bonus. The room itself was nicely furnished, clean, and the beds were very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.

Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi connection in our room was very poor; it only worked reliably in the toilet area, which was inconvenient. Additionally, the breakfast was quite basic and not particularly tasty, and could definitely use some improvement. My advice, don't eat breakfast here.

The hotel itself was great — the room was spacious, clean, and had a nice view. The location is quite convenient: about a 13-minute walk from the main train station and 35 minutes to the lake. There are also many good restaurants around the area. However, the main issue I faced was with some of the receptionists not being able to speak English. I understand that French is the local language, and I respect that. Still, as English is a global language (even though it’s my fourth language), I expected at least a basic level of English from the front desk staff at an international hotel. When I arrived on the first day in the afternoon, the receptionist gave me the room key, breakfast voucher, a city map, and some papers, but provided no explanation. The Wi-Fi information was written in unclear handwriting, and I had to go back down to ask for clarification. The real issue became apparent on the last day at checkout. A different receptionist asked if I had used the public transportation ticket that was apparently included with the map. I had no idea such a ticket existed — nobody had mentioned it to me. Just handing over a map and expecting guests to understand everything on it (in French) isn’t helpful, especially for international visitors. Tips for future guests: Ask the receptionist to clearly explain the content of any papers or maps they give you. The Wi-Fi code may be confusing — the letter "C" actually means the number "0" in their handwriting. Don’t assume you'll be informed about included tickets or services — you might need to ask specifically. That said, the environment and hotel facilities were great, and with better communication from the staff, the experience could easily be excellent.

This hotel is LUXURY. Parking (even with our roof box and three bikes on the back of the car) was no problem, and the suite was INCREDIBLE. For a family of four (two children, 9 and 4), it was so relaxing to enter the suite and find that it had two separate rooms, one for the adults and one for the children (they also had their own bathroom and special seating areas). The main bedroom was spacious, with two large desks, multiple seating areas (sofa, lounge chairs), mood lighting, and a balcony with chairs and a table overlooking the lake. The bathroom was large with a shower, a separate large bathtub (which our children very much enjoyed), a separate room for the toilet, and a large vanity with two sinks. There were plenty of plugs (also international outlets), and the beds and sheets were very comfortable. The best thing about this hotel for us was the staff. We were able to check in 2.5 hours early (this was amazing for us because we had unknowingly booked the "hostel from hell" the night before and had not slept), and the staff gave us a discount on the children's breakfast and called for our car to be brought to the front of the hotel upon our departure. These special gestures went above and beyond what we expected, and we are so pleased that we were able to experience this hotel. THANK YOU!

I had a room with the view of the lake, and it was fabulous to be able to sit on the balcony and enjoy it with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. I found the location was excellent to be able to travel around the city with both the metro lines accessible within 3-4 minutes of leaving the hotel. There were plenty of options for dinner around the area as well and easy access to the lake via the metro for the warm summer days.

The WIFI was very poor, but I found that the WIFI in general in Switzerland was poor.

Very good and cheerful interiors. No carpets in the room. Good sized bathroom and room. Balcony room with lake view at the top floor. Did not try any food at the hotel. Fitness centre is reasonably good with quality and well equipment, but some small equipment like weights, mats, etc. could be added. Well connected by public transport.

For the level of price, the hotel can give some more small amenities like welcome basket, snacks/cookies, coffee machine in the room. There were also some small omissions by the housekeeping, but these were corrected after a phone call.

The hotel is well-located in the city centre close to the older part of the town, with excellent views over Lake Geneva and Lausanne itself. The room was comfortable, with a large bed, and a good sized balcony giving us a very pleasant view of the lake. The bathroom was well-appointed. The public areas of the hotel are all attractive and well-maintained. Breakfast is served in a spacious dining room looking out towards the lake, and the range of items available is excellent. There is a comfortable bar adjacent to the dining room which offers a comfortable place to relax after a busy day

The pillows on the bed could have been better; in a hotel of this standard one expects something better than foam pillows.

I was elated to experience such good service, after disappointing stays in Geneva. Staff was very professional, answering all my questions and requests with a gracious attitude. The room was large, very clean and the linens were crisp, like new. I had a top floor room, overlooking the yard, so no noise from anywhere. I had a fridge and a water kettle, all in excellent condition, which is not always the case. The area is great for shopping and getting groceries at the Coop, such as cheese, fruits, even roast chicken. The Cathedral is nearby, and the excellent Metro takes you all the way to Ouchy, for many activities, including a boat trip in Lake Léman.

Lovely hotel with a long and loaded history. It is one of those hotels that actually aged pretty well despite being over a century old. The balconies still look out over the lake despite all the buildings that have risen in front of the Hotel over the years. It is also on the edge of the old city, making it the perfect midway point between the Cathedral and the Station. Mind you that you need to climb some steep steps to get there, so taking public transport is recommended if you have luggage with you. Breakfast is small-scale but really good.

When I was there they were severely understaffed, and although check-in went smoothly I had to wait quite a long time (>10minutes) to get some amenities at the reception (they don't have them in your room, you need to collect them yourself).

Comfortable spacious rooms (a little dated in style), good bar & restaurant. Probably best location for restaurants of any hotel in Lausanne.

Same old issue...breakfast choice is very limited. Breakfast starts at 6.30 but the warm food doesn't show up until sometime after 7.00 which is really annoying if you eat early. If you only get a coffee and a croissant for 25CHF, that makes that aspect of the stay very disappointing and not good value. Parking on a Sunday is challenging as the underground garage is closed.

I stay there regularly as I am in Lausanne every few weeks for work. Of all the hotels I have stayed at, and there are many in Lausanne, it probably is the best value if you are getting it for under 200CHF. Great location for restaurants (especially the Indian and Chinese around the corner). Basic but large comfortable rooms. Good bar and restaurant. Great staff. Valet parking right next to the hotel works well.

Breakfast is mediocre and is a frustrating experience. Needs a better selection of food. Often things run out and it can be crowded, mostly with old people who have no idea how to use the coffee machine. Breakfast is the one weakness of this hotel....but given it is usually free with Booking.com, I cant complain too much.
