The hotel is in downtown Albany and a short walk to the state capitol building. It is across the street from the Greyhound bus terminal and a short walk from several restaurants, as well as a grocery store. Breakfast was good, as there were cantaloupe and pineapple slicks, as well as apples and tangerines to go along with bagels, English muffins, toast, cold cereal, and self-made pancakes. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful, offering tips on where to order food.

My friend complained that her pillows smelled and said her bedsheets were dirty. Several calls were placed to the front desk, but the sheets were not replaced. While the complaint regarding the pillows was made the first night, no new pillows were provided until the following day. My friend asked for four clean pillows, but instead received only three. While I had no complaints regarding my bedding or pillows, I did notice that the Wi-Fi was slow. It kept me from doing any substantive work and forced me to use pen and paper for some things I normally do using a computer.

The room and bathroom were a very good size. Hotel close to downtown. I liked the fact that the room service was not available every day, this can save water and electricity. Save for our Planet!

What I didn't like in this hotel was all the waste in the breakfast area. Everyting was disposabe :((((, not eco friendly at all and that matters to me. I will not stay in a hotel like this anymore just bcs of this. We have to start thinking about eco friendly, the waste was too much to see. Other than that, our stay was nice. thanks

It’s close to the Amtrak train station (via the bridge). There wasn’t so much near the hotel that interested me, but I was visiting primarily to go to Troy, a few miles away. The complimentary breakfasts were hearty and generous. The common lounge area of the dining room was set up nicely, though I only spent time there for breakfasts.

The room key cards often deactivate themselves if they aren’t used, even for just 6 hours. The bathroom smelled a little musty, that I believe is because the cloth shower curtain needed washing. The indoor pool (and sauna?) were closed for maintenance.

Adul was very attentive and nice, the girl manager was trying to flirt with my husband

The air conditioning was poor they sent a Maintanace person and he stunk up our room body order but never fixed the air smh we where offered another room but was leaving the next morning. The computers did work so the girl manager after me getting upset let me use a computer at the front desk which was embarrassing for everyone checking in was looking in my face, but I had to get out paperwork for my business that night . The sausage where not cooked they looked grey need a different way of preparing meat especially pork.There was no Brie worth taking pictures location was good only because it was just around the corner from my event at the mvp arena

Just the kind of rooms I expected. Room looks clean and new, and I like the shower in the bathroom. Breakfasts is also included, which is nice and clean. I would say hot food selections aren’t too many but I’m totally fine with it because I have nothing else to complain about.

This isn’t a absolute dislike for me but what you need to know is that although the hotel is located downtown which is nice, it sits under a throughway so it looks kinda weird. But inside the room it’s amazingly quiet. So in short if you plan to have a room to enjoy views outside the window, this might not be your best choice, but if you don’t care about this then I would recommend this place

Breakfast, pool, room decor and comfort, toiletries, parking lot safety

Rm229 needs tub stopper repaired. Reseal the mildew in shower area. Better shower curtain needed(fabric only- needs plastic barrier) as water from shower floods the bathroom easily. Pool area needs an overhaul-iron water stains in and out. Peeling paint in closed hot tub(not in use). Never enough towels in pool/fitness center. No convenient bathroom for pool/fitness center- had to walk in bathing suits to breakfast area dripping wet and freezing. Breakfast attendant was overwhelmed with keeping up the breakfast room food demands. Need a faster toaster or more toasters to reduce wait times. Breakfast eating area had disturbing news channel on (Ukraine war footage) not appropriate for children/families to watch. Our door to rm229 was hard to open and there was no do not disturb signs.

The facility was clean, and well appointed. My room was extremely comfortable, and I appreciated the refrigerator and microwave, in addition to the large tv and well appointed bathroom (shower gel, towels, space).

The facility's plus is also its minus - it is minutes away from the Amtrak station, but its location under the highway next to the abandoned buildings made me nervous to walk to the store or around the neighborhood.

The morning guy Raman was super helpful, actually so front deck personal was accommodating and nice people. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. I was happy with my stay , and I would stay there again for future visits.

I didn’t like that the I could see the homeless people from my window by the bridge. I wish they had somewhere to lay their heads.

Perfect comfort, value for money. The Dove ready to use soap and shampoo were super. Very nice breakfast.

Location, rather far in walking distance places to have a coffee or a bite. Certainly on Sunday 🙂. About the room: I couldn't lower the heating, room was 74 degrees!!! I cannot sleep when that hot. Fortunately I could turn the heating OFF, and could open the window a little for fresh air.

very close to MPV arena very clean we came in for a sold out concert and they only had one person working the counter.

it took us over an hour to check in because we were there with hundreds of others for a sold out concert. holiday inn only had one staff member, Taisha, working the counter. she was very calm and happy and still treated everyone great even though all the pressure was on her to check in the hundreds of people. poor planning on holiday inn
